Sumulong Highway to and from Marikina - Mambugan papunta dun sa Antipolo.
Imelda Avenue : dating V.V.Soliven Center area(na ngayon ay Sta.Lucia East Mall at Robinson Metro East)
A.Tuazon Avenue - to and from Marikina(papuntang Marquinton Marikina, Sports Center Bayan area )
Amang Rodriguez Avenue - Ligaya area(papuntang Santolan Pasig; the other side - Calumpang area Marikina)
E.Mariano Avenue - Dela Paz area
Given those major intersections, magiging EDSA ng east Mega Manila ang Marcos Highway^_^
Meron bang link sa site or rendering?
mar1ann8 September 18th, 2008, 12:10 PM Hi. Taga-Antipolo din ako. Malapit sa town proper at super lapit sa Budgetlane. ^^,

The Provincial Development Council (PDC) of Rizal, in a full council meeting, recently approved the province’s 2009 Annual Investment Plan (AIP) amounting to over P4.81 billion that will cover social, economic and general public services.
The full council meeting, attended by Rizal’s four congressional representatives, members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, municipal and city mayors, non-government organizations and other stakeholders, unanimously passed and approved PDC Resolution No. 2008-01 identifying priority programs and projects under the 2009 AIP.
Sectoral budget for the three governance sectors are classified according to their sources – general fund, special education fund, 20% development fund, and external sources.
Programs and projects under social services amounted to over P 2.20 billion, while those under economic services were earmarked P1.63 billion and general public services received Php 977.36 million.
Vice Gov. Frisco San Juan, Jr., presiding officer of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, assured the council and Gov. Casimiro Ynares III of the immediate passage of the corresponding legislative measure covering the 2009 AIP.
Gov. Ynares said that with the investment plan and corresponding budgetary allocations already in place, the provincial government’s development initiatives will be sustained in order to realize his vision of a well-planned and balanced socio-economic development for the entire province.
"Since I assumed the stewardship of the Province of Rizal, I have been guided by only one principle, to give only what is best for Rizal," the governor said.

At iyong bagong over pass duon ang taas.

hirolionheart September 22nd, 2008, 12:37 PM DENR to probe garbage juice dumping in Rizal
abs-cbnNEWS.com | 09/18/2008 9:54 AM
Environment Secretary Lito Atienza said Thursday he will order the suspension of the Rizal Provincial Landfill's operation after receiving reports that its operator is dumping leachate (garbage juice) into the Montalban River.
Atienza said he will immediately order the temporary closure of the landfill station if investigators of the Department of Natural Environment and Resources (DENR) prove that waster water are being dumped into the river.
"We cannot allow it to operate one day more if waste water is being dumped into the Montalban River," the environment secretary told ABS-CBN's morning show, "Umagang Kay Ganda."
He said he will dispatch a DENR team to the dumping site. He said the department will call on Rizal Governor Casimiro Ynares III and the landfill's operator if the illegal act is proven.
On Wednesday night, an ABS-CBN news team went with Montalban policemen and local government officials who conducted a raid at the dumping site.
The officials were met with a gunshot and personally saw how the leachate is being dumped into the river.
The Montalban municipal officials suspect the Rizal Provincial Landfill doesn't have a waste water system.
Jimmy Baltazar, municipal administrator of the Montalban local government, said the operator of the landfill may be charged for violation of the Clean Water Act, Republic Act 9003 or the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act and a municipal ordinance.
Rizal gov is 'environment friendly'
Atienza, meanwhile, quickly absolved Ynares in the illegal dumping of waste water into the Montalban River.
He said the governor had been very supportive of the DENR's effort to protect the environment in the province.
"I believe Governor Ynares is a very environment friendly local executive. I don't think he knows anything [about the illegal waste water dumping]," Atienza said.
Ynares, for his part, said he had ordered the Rizal police provincial office to investigate the shooting during the landfill's raid.
He said the Rizal provincial government will send a letter to Atienza requesting the DENR secretary to activate a multipartite monitoring team to investigate the leachate's dumping.
The governor said the landfill's operator should be charged if the illegal dumping is proven.

hirolionheart September 22nd, 2008, 01:02 PM Quezon City to build heroes’ park, six new monuments
By Jeannette Andrade

MANILA, Philippines -- Aiming to provide its constituents with inspiration to strive for the country’s development, the Quezon City government announced plans to erect six monuments commemorating the contributions of national heroes in different sites around the city.
In a statement, Quezon City Parks Development Administration Department head Zaldy Dela Rosa announced that the city government was designing new monuments to Melchora Aquino, Jose Rizal, Andres Bonifacio, Benigno Aquino Jr., General Licerio Geronimo, as well as a heroes’ park.
During Wednesday’s executive staff meeting at the Quezon City hall, Dela Rosa revealed that he was instructed by Mayor Feliciano Belmonte Jr. to conduct a thorough check on the credentials and work experience of the sculptors who will be commissioned to build the monuments.
The mayor also directed Dela Rosa to look for schools and other government offices where old monuments could be relocated.
Dela Rosa disclosed that the Melchora Aquino Shrine on Banlat Road in Tandang Sora will be formally unveiled on January 6 next year in time for her 197th death anniversary.
Ninoy Aquino’s statue will be erected at the Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife while the Heroes’ Park will be situated at the corner of E. Rodriguez Sr. and Gilmore Avenues.
The monument to Katipunan General Geronimo will be constructed in front of the Barangay Bagong Silangan Hall.
Locations for the monuments to Rizal and Bonifacio are yet to be determined.
Dela Rosa said the monuments were important “to give credence to the contribution that these heroes had imparted to Filipinos especially Quezon City residents.”
He added, “They serve as inspiration for us to work hard for our development.”

MANILA, Philippines—Two kid brothers were killed in a rain-triggered landslide in San Mateo, Rizal Wednesday night, disaster officials said Thursday.
According to the provincial disaster coordination committee of Rizal, the victims were identified as Jerico, 6, and Juanito, 3, both surnamed Collado of Lower Pulang Lupa in the village of Sto. Niño in San Mateo, Rizal.
The Collado brothers, they said, were pronounced dead on arrival at the Garcia General Hospital in Marikina City. They were trapped inside their house in Pulang Lupa following a massive mud flow.
Their house, which was made of light materials, was located in a landslide-prone area at the foot of the mountain in Sto. Niño, said the PDCC.
The PDCC said that at around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, at the height of the heavy rainfall, the victims’ mother Lolita Collado was still awake and saw the oncoming mud flow.
Lolita immediately took her five-year-old daughter, Jessica, to a safer area outside of the house. She was about to go back for her two sons but the house was already hit by the landslide, trapping her two sons inside.
Lolita and Jessica suffered only minor injuries from the incident.
The PDCC said village officials had earlier warned all residents in the area to evacuate given the unstable slope.
Residents in the area had already evacuated and the Collado family was the only holdout.
The survivors are now under the care of the municipal government of San Mateo.

MANILA, Philippines — Gov. Casimiro “Jun" Ynares III of Rizal province on Friday said the 19-hectare sanitary landfill in Rodriguez town has resumed operation a day after town Mayor Pedro Cuerpo ordered its closure and blocked entry point with a truck and human shields.
Likewise, Ynares warned that the provincial board may issue another suspension order against Cuerpo if he will keep on impounding garbage trucks and refuse to reopen the landfill.
Cuerpo, along with some municipal councilors, ordered the permanent closure of the landfill Wednesday night. The mayor also impounded two garbage trucks from Metro Manila for ignoring municipal executive order 9308 EO 9308 imposing the immediate closure of the 19-hectare provincial sanitary landfill, issued on Monday.
In a television interview, Cuerpo had openly declared that he will block the opening of the facility as well as entry into it as he allegedly impounded garbage trucks from Metro Manila.
A truck, chains and alleged supporters of Cuerpo tried to block entry into the landfill by putting up soil barricades and forming a human chain.
But after a surprise inspection in the facility to ensure that everything was within legal means, Ynares said that the dump trucks from Caloocan and Makati City were granted entry to throw their garbage into the facility.
"Bukas na yung landfill, tuloy na ang operasyon (The landfill is open, it's business as usual)," Ynares said.
Ynares, likewise, said that had already instructed Rizal Police Chief Col. Ireneo Dordas to ensure peace and order in barangay San Isidro, where the 19-hectare landfill is located.
"Ang ini-uutos ko lang kay Col. Dordas ay to maintain peace and order.. When you say peace and order ‘yung order napapabayaan, nagkakagulo. So, I asked the good colonel to ensure that there would be no obstruction to the public roads," he said.
Ynares has insisted that the provincial government has authority over the landfill and that the host local government has no legal right to impose closure on the facility.
The 19-hectare sanitary landfill in the town of Rodriguez, Rizal province remains in limbo due to conflicting positions of local officials.
Cuerpo said the municipal government is stopping the landfill's operation to protect the public and the environment.
"We will no longer allow its operator, SWIMS (Solid Waste Integrated Management Specialists) to continue polluting our rivers," he said.
The closure order was issued after municipal environment officials claimed leachate from the dump site was being diverted to the nearby Lukutang Maliit river. - GMANews.TV

From http://www.rizalprovince.gov.ph/:
Over the years, the territory of Rizal Province would evolve until it comprised 26 towns (excluding the cities of Caloocan, Quezon and Pasay); namely Las Piñas, Malabon, Makati, Parañaque, Taguig, Pateros, Pasig, Marikina, Muntinlupa, Mandaluyong, Navotas, San Juan, San Mateo, and Montalban (from the old province of Manila), and Angono, Baras, Binangonan, Cainta, Antipolo, Cardona, Jalajala, Morong, Pililla, Tanay, Taytay and Teresa (from the Morong Politico-Military district).
On November 7, 1975, by virtue of Presidential Decree No. 824, the 12 most progressive towns of Rizal namely: Las Piñas, Muntinlupa, Taguig, Parañaque, Pateros, Makati, Mandaluyong, San Juan, Malabon, Navotas, Pasig and Marikina were incorporated in the newly formed Metro Manila Area. It also included the town of Valenzuela (formerly of Bulacan), and the four cities of Manila, Quezon, Caloocan and Pasay.
Thus, Rizal Province was left with just 14 towns -- San Mateo, Montalban, Cainta, Taytay, Angono, Antipolo, Binangonan, Teresa, Morong, Cardona, Tanay, Pililla, Baras, and Jalajala. Through sustained progressive development since its creation in 1901, Rizal, owing its proximity to Manila, had become the "premier province" of the Philippines despite its dismemberment in 1975 during the Marcos regime.

Colonel Burger October 6th, 2008, 03:35 AM I think, mas better na proposition is that Metro Manila be integrated back to the province of Rizal. majority of the Cities in Metro Manila was part of Rizal. (Malabon, Navotas, parts of Quezon City, San Juan, Mandaluyong, Marikina, Pasig, Taguig, Makati, Paranaque, Pateros, Muntinlupa and Las Pinas.

QC preserves historical sites
The Quezon City government is preserving its national historical sites in the City and constructs the Battle of San Mateo Shrine in Bagong Silangan.
Mayor Feliciano Belmonte, Jr. made the disclosure in a speech during a commemorative program for the 112th anniversary of the Cry of Pugad Lawin last Saturday, August 23.
Belmonte pointed out that the proposed Battle of San Mateo Shrine is similar to the Pugad Lawin and Tandang Sora Shrine.
Belmonte said, “Dugo ang ibinayad n gating mga bayani para sa ating kalayaan, so we will preserve all places sacred to Philippine nationalism.”
At Pugad Lawin in August 23, 1896, some 1,000 Katipuneros, led by Andres Bonifacio, tore their residence certificates (cedula) to manifest their armed struggle against Spain that marked the first revolution in Asia against a European colonial power.
Belmonte said, “That act of defiance was national in character, it is very important today not only to us here in Quezon City but also in the entire country.”
Meantime, Department of Labor and Employment (DoLE) Undersecretary Roemo Lagman described the Cry of Pugad Lawin a milestone in the country’s quest for freedom.
“But our present revolution is centered against poverty,” Lagman pointed out as he urged Filipinos to hand to this effort.
Top City officials Vice Mayor Herbert Bautista and Councilors Ariel Inton, Jr., Dorothy Delarmente and Dante De Guzman and QC Police District (QCPD) Director Magtanggol Gatdula and Director Ludovico Badoy of the National Historical Institute – were among those present during the commemorative program at the Pugad Lawin Shrine.

depends on your budget for a house.

Marikina City and Taytay recently became sister cities with the signing of a sisterhood agreement led by Marikina Mayor Marides Fernando (left) and Taytay Mayor George Ricardo Gacula. The two cities, through the Office of the Vice Mayor and City Council, also signed a memorandum of understanding that covers economic development cooperation, trade promotion, and similar initiatives. Among the initial undertakings of the sister cities was the “Libreng Opera sa Bingot” project, which extended free cleft palate surgery to Marikeños.

Sandiganbayan orders Rizal mayor's three-month suspension
abs-cbnNEWS.com | 10/19/2008 2:15 PM
The Sandiganbayan has issued a 90-day suspension order against Rodriguez, Rizal Mayor Pedro Cuerpo, who was complained of graft by his constituents.
In a three-page decision issued last October 3, the court’s First Division granted the petition filed by the Office of the Ombudsman seeking the suspension of Cuerpo.
The decision was in connection with complaints for violation of Section 3(e) of the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act filed by several residents of Rodriguez town against the mayor and other officials.
The complainants were occupants of a temporary shelter ordered demolished by the suspended mayor.
Also ordered suspended were Rodriguez municipal engineer Fernando Rono, village chief Salvador Simbulan and a policeman named Renato Evasco.
The court said the graft complaint against the mayor and the other officials “is valid as it is sufficient in both form and substance.”
The charge said "Mayor Cuerpo, et. al. took advantage of their official positions, conspired, acted in bad faith and manifested partiality in the unlawful demolition of tents and temporary shelters of the complainants."
Complainants Leticia Nanay, Nancy Barsubia, Gemma Bernal, Ma. Victoria Ramirez, Crisanta Oxina and Adelaida Ebio said the mayor and the co-accused "deprived us of the lawful use of their land and without due process of law and without any legal basis or court order caused the forcible demolition of their temporary shelters."
The court said a copy of the order has been sent to Interior Secretary Ronaldo Puno for implementation.

Ah i see... kaya naman pala...
richard24 October 20th, 2008, 12:03 PM I still will not vouch for it guys. I'll believe it when I can see a credible source. alam nyo naman ang wikipedia. and its proximity to SM City Taytay makes no sense at all.
May alam ba kayo na SM Supermall na 10 minute drive away lang from each other? If this rumor is true, then this would be the first.
But yun nga lang, it makes for a great location. ma rerevitalize yung area. its a stone throws away from Ynares Center and the Provinial Capitol.
its also near hinulugang taktak... so there are also environmental concerns.
its not just 10 mins. :) kaya namin minsan ng 5 from ynares. :)
--------------
its time to play, guess the location.
my guess: the huge lot beside the gate of alta vista.

richard24 October 20th, 2008, 02:44 PM ^^ onga.,
sana talaga totoo na to. mejo kapanipaniwala yung wiki article eh. pero i wont hold my breath just yet. until i see the magical signature "blue fence" on the lot. :)
catherine ann October 20th, 2008, 08:25 PM Parang hindi totoo kasi kahit kami mga 10 minutes lang from our house to SM Taytay at less than 30 minutes to SM Marikina. Bakit kailangan pa ng new SM dito sa Antipolo.
catherine ann October 20th, 2008, 08:31 PM Your welcome!^_^
Naks! Kung merong Great Wall of China, meron naman pala sa ating Great Wall of Antipolo, hehehe^_^
Saan ba banda yang Great Wall of Antipolo

lightsaber46 October 27th, 2008, 08:57 AM P290-million multi-level parking complex to rise soon in Antipolo
http://www.mb.com.ph/PROV20081027139106.html
ANTIPOLO CITY — In pursuance of the long-term vision of Mayor Victor Sumulong to make Antipolo a tourism hub, a multi-level parking complex (MLPC) costing P290 million will be constructed on a lot located at the corner of M.L. Quezon Ave. and P. Oliveros St. in Barangay Dela Paz, this city.
The lot is owned by the city government.
"Malapit na itong simulan, at isa-isa na nating ginigiba ang mga apektadong spaces gaya ng Sumulong Park, Antipolo auditorium at iyong Fire Department (this project will start soon, and we are now clearing the affected spaces like those occupied by the Sumulong Park, Antipolo auditorium and Fire Department),’’ Mayor Sumulong said.
The MLPC project, as proposed by Mayor Sumulong and approved by the sangguniang panlungsod through passage of Resolution No. 2008-177, will be implemented on a build-operate-transfer (BOT) agreement that provides for a 25-year lease.
The earnings from the parking spaces will go the investors until they have recovered the cost of the project),’’ the mayor said.
The MLPC project will not only solve the parking problem in the city, especially during the pilgrimage month, Holy Week, fiestas, and Sundays.
It will also yield socio-economic benefits as it will generate employment, and income for the small and medium enterprises and the city as well, the mayor said.
The building can accommodate up to 250 parking slots, and will have a main lobby on the ground flood, an auditorium-amphitheater with a seating capacity of 500, spaces for rent and a plaza.
An amphitheater which will accommodate displays about the city will also be built. Visitors and Antipolo citizens alike will learn important things about the city from the displays),’’ Sumulong said. (Reuel Vidal)
Because one of the flagship projects of the city government is focused on tourism, a film showing room and a tourism office will be located on the third floor.
Since our thrust is to push tourism in the city and promote Antipolo as the Pilgrimage City of the Philippines, the Tourism Office will also be located there),’’ the mayor said.
The City Planning and Development Office headed by Engineer Rene Matienzo was tasked to prepare the initial plans and programs.
"Hopefully we can accomplish this mammoth project and make it operational before May 2009 in time for the May festivities,’’ Matienzo said. (Reuel Vidal)

:) pero bakit 250 lang?!? dapat at least a thousand slots. and its a good decision na gawing BOT yun, since we all know what happens to government run parking lots right?
:) mejo malaki siya in fairness, kasi from the plaza all the way to the fire department. pati ung amphi madadamay. masasama ba yung pasalubong center?

With the global financial meltdown, the provincial government of Rizal is pursuing a thrust on its potential for tourism receipts. Gov. Jun Ynares, who paid a visit to the Tuesday Club yesterday, unveiled a vision for the province that takes out the sting of the financial crisis that is seen to affect the economy. Tourism, after all, is a sunshine industry that results in job creation, as well as an improved business climate.
One come-on that local government units should similarly implement is that of suspending the amusement for tax for tourism-oriented establishments. “We are giving a five-year tax holiday on the collection of this tax,” the youthful governor said. The amusement tax is 30 percent of gate receipts on resorts and other leisure destinations. The noncollection of such a tax would constitute a big hole in the government’s revenues, but for Ynares, the thrust would, however, catapult the province as a destination for tourists.
The provincial government’s gameplan is akin to a strategic one-step-backward move that would result in a three-step-forward thrust. The overall development plan Ynares envisions for the province is seen to sustain its high 5.79 percent population-growth rate that was tracked from 1995 to 2000. The need for sustainable development such as what the province can offer for its 1.7 million population can come about from a boom in tourism.
For Ynares, one such tourism facility is the Avilon Park in barangay San Isidro, Rodriguez, Rizal. Started in 1992 by businessman Joaquin Gaw as an offshoot of his exotic-animal collections, the 7.5-hectare zoological and botanical park boasts of a collection of nearly 3,000 animals comprising 500 species, including mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fishes and even plants, with particular emphasis on Philippine endemic species.
This park has a three-fold agenda: conservation, education and entertainment; and it has been attracting droves of tourists, especially those who want to get a glimpse of endemic Philippine species.
Tourism could provide the lifeblood for the province in this time of financial unease where brick-and-mortar industries face the specter of more losses. The key to taking advantage of the province’s tourism potential is to grant entrepreneurs incentives to put more money into the sector. And this is what the suspension of the 30-percent amusement tax would do. This tax holiday provides would-be investors the opportunity to take part in the province’s tourisms thrust.
The fact that the province has a 100-percent literacy rate means that those who are entering the labor market for the first time can get work chances at tourism-oriented establishments. According to Ynares, the 62.75-percent labor participation rate of Rizal’s work force of 1.27 million (above 15 years of age) could immediately increase as tourism can easily employ the province’s labor entrants as tour guides, waiters, specialty-shop attendants and even as skilled artisans.
One tourism destination the province could promote, with emphasis on ecology, is the Masungi Park and Daraetan River. Both located in the Sierra Madre, Mount Masungi has colossal rock formations comparable with the cliff formations in Palawan. The site covers hundred of hectares with numerous rock formations, caves and springs. This place is best suited for nature adventure and mountain climbing.
The Daraetan River, from where the Tanay River originates, was awarded one of the cleanest rivers in the country. It is a favorite place for trekking of 4x4 enthusiasts and adventurers. The river has naturally sculptured marble formations that look as though they had been chiseled or blasted by machine. The area also has caverns where one can paddle a small canoe to explore the place.
Another tourism come-on is the famed petroglyphs. Located near the Angono and Binangonan boundary, the ancient rock, dating back to 3,000 BC, according to the National Museum, features 127 engraved drawings of animals and humans, as well as fragments of earthenware, obsidian flakes and shells. The petroglyphs have been included in the World Inventory of Rock Art under the auspices of the Unesco.

The Public Relations Society of the Philippines has given due recognition to a training program for masons that cement firm Holcim Philippines has conceptualized. The training module imparts masonry skills that enable participants to improve their income potential. We would like to congratulate former GMA 7 reporter Sheryl Yao for being recognized as a Gold Quill awardee, the country’s most prestigious award-giving body for business communicators. Ms. Yao will soon have her hands full with the projected impact of the government’s plan to impose zero tariff on cement imports. What she could come up next could be a potential Gold Quill finalist.

DESPITE the global economic meltdown, the town of Binangonan, Rizal, located 30 kilometers east of Metro Manila, seems to continuously enjoy investor confidence. A shining example of that bullish investor outlook is the move of Panama-based Thunderbird Resorts, Inc., an international property developer of theme parks with casinos, to pour in an estimated $120 million over the next three years to expand its complex in the scenic town.
Also included in the business-expansion project is the firm’s Poro Point facility.
Alain Richard, hospitality manager for both Thunderbird resorts, said the company is spending $300,000 per room to upgrade the existing 73 rooms and build 127 more rooms at the Binangonan facility.
Richard said Thunderbird sees a lot of real-estate opportunities in the Philippines, although the company has no immediate pans to build a third resort in the country.
Although the Binangonan resort has been in operation for four years, the Thunderbird Poro Point complex is expected to generate more revenues for the company.” This is bigger and much more exclusive,” Richard said. Covering 80 hectares, Thunderbird Poro Point has golf and beach features that cannot be found in the Binangonan site.
Richard said the company plans to market Thunderbird Poro Point to Japanese tourists, a market that matches all of the resort’s features. “They spend more, they gamble and like golf compared to Koreans, who also gamble a lot but play little golf; or the Chinese who don’t play golf,” Richard said.
He said Thunderbird will start marketing this resort to the Japanese market in 2009, setting up a sales office in Narita also next year.
The marketing pitch will have a real-estate component as Thunderbird plans to sell villas to foreign clients.
For a fairly new resort, Thunderbird enjoys 40-percent to 50-percent occupancy rate, with mostly local clients. Only 10 percent of its clients are foreigners, mostly Americans, Chinese and Koreans.
But Richard hopes foreign visitors would increase once regular commercial flights start flying from the San Fernando airport, five minutes away from Thunderbird.
By November 15, chartered flights for Thunderbird customers will start flying from the airport.
Richard said Thunderbird is also tying up with international travel agents to market tour packages in the resort.

bonixx November 17th, 2008, 06:10 AM Rizal notched into the list of the country’s 10 revenue earning provinces
November 16, 2008 2:44 am by pna
MANILA, Nov. 15 — As released by the Commission on Audit (COA), the Rizal province notched into the list of the country’s 10 revenue earning provinces, posting P1.361 billion income for calendar year 2007.
The same report showed income generated by local government units (LGUs) in 2007 increased by 7.56 percent and reached P234.82 billion.
The 2007 gross income of LGUs was P16.51 billion higher than 2006’s P218.30 billion.
Among the provinces nationwide, Rizal has the highest income of P577.05 million presenting about 42 percent of its total income. Net income of LGUs, however, reached P40.02 billion. The figure is P751.33 million or 1.84 percent lower than last year’s net income of P40.77 billion.
The Local government Code or Republic Act 7160 has given LGUs the power to generate their own source of revenue by levying taxes, fees or charges.
Rizal landed on the ninth spot among the top revenue earning provinces.
Provinces with highest income for 2007 are as follows: Bulacan (P1.807 billion), Negros Occidental (P1.674 billion), Cebu (P1.657 billion), Cavite (P1.542 billion), Laguna (P1.487 billion), Pangasinan (P1.482 billion), Batangas (P1.386 billion), Quezon (P1.36 billion), Rizal (P1.361 billion) and Bukidnon (P1.295 billion).
Meanwhile, cities in the National Capital Region (NCR), dominated the list of cities with highest income for 2007.
The top 10 cities with the highest income for 2007 include Quezon City (P8.43 billion), Makati (P8.296 billion), Manila (P8.240 billion), Pasig (P3.952 billion), Davao (P3.153 billion), Caloocan (P2.509 billion), Cebu (P2.44 billion), Parañaque (P2.153 billion), Pasay (P2.02 billion), and Mandaluyong (P1.70 billion).
Municipalities and provinces belonging to Region 4-A or CALABARZON (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon) dominated the list towns with highest gross income.
The COA financial statement said, “Total expenses incurred by LGUs in fiscal year 2007 totalled P194.79 billion, posting an increase of P17.26 billion or 9.73 percent from P177.53 billion 2006.”
Negros Occidental, Bulacan, Cebu, Cavite and Quezon were the five highest spenders among the provinces while Manila, Quezon City, Makati, Davao and Pasig landed on the top five spots of big spenders among the cities.
The municipalities of Cabuyao, Cainta, Biñan, Gen. Trias and Bacoor, meanwhile, incurred the highest expenditures among the municipalities.
Rizal Gov. Jun Ynares III said, “Rizal province has been consistent in this fiscal ranking. This is the result of our effective and sound fiscal management which will ultimately translate to benefits to our constituents.” (PNA)

Colonel Burger November 19th, 2008, 06:01 AM Ngayon naman meron SM City Angono sa wikipedia.... I hope those false rumors will stop.
An SM Mall in the town of Angono is impossible because the population is barely 100,000 and the next town, Taytay, has an SM Supermall. Previously, it was SM City Antipolo, which is also almost impossible since its proposed location is just 5-10 minutes away from SM City Taytay.
But yes, there is an SM Supermarket in Angono.

There are hotels available.... but with the proximity to manila and availability of transportation, i don't think you would need to check in a hotel.
There is no Starbucks in antipolo, but there are many similar establishments. Mocha Blends can be found in Shell - Marcos Highway. Additionally, there are many homegrown coffee shops that offers good coffee. Sheisha, Cafe Dozo Cafe Cristimar... just to name a few.
Antipolo can offer a relaxing view of the Metro Manila Skyline at night while enjoying good food, coffee or a bottle of beer.
For the catholics, its a pilgrimage site. People would walk all the way from Quiapo Church to the Antipolo Cathedral.... its about 30Km walk. The Cathederal houses the image of the Virgin Mary which they claim to be miraculous.
Ynares Center is a 12,000 seat arena which offers regular PBA games as well as concerts for Local and International Artists.
There are also exclusive restaurants located in the outskirts of the city like Vieux Challet, a swiss restaurant which offers excellent Swiss Cuisine and an exellent view of metro manila. There is also blue moon cafe.
Numerous resorts abound in Antipolo, there is Loreland, Busay, Cristimar etc. if you want to take a dip with the family without going too far.... antipolo is your bet.
Lastly, Antipolo is mostly a residential City, so if you are shopping for a new home, Antipolo should be in your list.

hirolionheart December 8th, 2008, 12:27 PM Sta. Lucia East's Christmas decor: Recycling is the key
Philstar.com - Monday, December 8
http://d.yimg.com/hb/xp/star/20081207/20/4026828918-sta-lucia-east-s-christmas-decor-recycling-is-the-key.jpg?x=180&y=164&sig=57EGdQx.cGVrD7uN34ee6A--
These days, a mall is not only as good as the items it sells. It's also as good as the Christmas decors it shows. Posing for pictures beside eye-catching decors is as Filipino as you can get. In fact, Christmas decors are such big come-ons some places have been crowd magnets because of these.
Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall is no exception. The mall along Marcos Highway, Cainta, Rizal has attracted families who mount the giant belen outside its main entrance to pose for pictures.
Others take out their cameras to take shots beside any of the 10 Christmas trees reaching up to as high as nine feet at the main atrium. High above, red and green beribboned Christmas berries watch over shoppers merrily making their way through the stalls or kiddie rides.
Rene Labrador, who has been decorating the mall for 15 years as its visual display manager, is a recycling expert. He took the 30-foot Christmas tree at the home of the mall's owner, Andrea Andres and turned it into 10 nine-feet-tall trees. He spruced them all up one by one and placed them at Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall's fountain area, where it occupies centerstage.
Labrador carefully took out the wrought iron from last year's décor, bent them into the shape of a giant bow, and came up with his recycled décor for the year. His main considerations are location and material.
Outdoor décor must be weather proof. Labrador also closely coordinates with the mall's maintenance department to make bring out the best in his ideas.
His reward is psychic more than anything else. It's Labrador's - and Sta. Lucia East's - contribution to keeping the Christmas spirit alive these hard times. (Philstar News Service, www.philstar.com)

Its not underated. Their cinemas are really bad.
The setup of the whole cinema is not up to world standards. its still in the same old layout. Aesthtics will not help in bringing out the best cinema experience.
In the setup of a theatre, the room measurement plays a big and very important role in acoustics. Its a wrong notion that theaters wall must absorb the sound. Walls play an important role in bouncing back the audio to the audience to bring about the best Dolby Digital/SDDS/DTS experience. That is why modern cinemas such as those in Eastwood, Gateway are small.

Pati ang magiging matinding kakumpetensya ng Puregold San Mateo which is Budgetlane Sulitmarket (not more than 500 meters away), hindi rin nakaligtas sa trapik, hehehe:lol:
KFC and Mercury) .. Kaka excite kasi .:cheers::nuts::lol:

hirolionheart December 21st, 2008, 10:02 AM ano yung parco? never heard...mall din ba yun?
Parco Supermarket:colgate:
Meron ng branch nito sa Bayan-Bayanan Avenue, Concepcion, Marikina City
Tapos may Parco Department Store and Supermarket sa San Juan City:okay:
May nagsasabing Robinsons.
icarusrising December 22nd, 2008, 07:32 AM ^^ And the plot thickens...
Me Parco nga rin pala sa Quezon Avenue. Kahilera ng Great Eastern Hotel at McDo.

lia francisco December 23rd, 2008, 05:16 AM register of deeds ng antipolo is in Lores.,
but for the older properties, yung deeds nasa marikina., (likod ng mcdo marcos hway.,)
If there was a 1990 annotation done on an Antipolo TCT by RD Marikina, the cancellation of the annotation will be done by RD Antipolo or RD Marikina?

ang saya ah,mukhang excited ang mga tao having puregold in that area.
I remember before my friend told me (he's in the marketing industry) that puregold really cheaper compare to other groceries, hindi sila malaki mag patong ng presyo sa mga produkto at maganda rin ito.
Ok nga na may rivalry.more groceries for our cities!
hiro, post more pics:cheers:

Magpalagay ng... skygarden or waterfalls and wave-like cladding...

I'm now sure how Cherry Foodarama is doing at Tres Hermanas, Oro Vista, Crestview and Summerville (TOCS) Area.
