I see no real point of building this bridge because:
1) It will likely end up being very expensive (*cough* Liberals)
2) Very few people live up there
3) Even less of a point if there is no bridge from Newfoundland.

Perhaps one of the reasons more people don't live up there is that the transpotation infrustructure is so poor. I guess this is one of those chicken/egg things. Should you build it first so people will come (or at least stay) or should you only provide services when the population reaches a high enough level to necessitate it.

I see nothing wrong with building infrastructure like this.. I could think of a million inspiring changes to Canada's eastern seaboard, and a bridge across the Saguenay would be a good place to start
