I saw a picture some place of a road/highway passing through a tall building in what I assume was Japan but I don't know whether it's real or not.

Can anyone tell me if this IS or ISN'T real?

If it is real, where is it (Tokyo)?, which came first; the building or the road? Or was it planned to be built with a road passing through it? And lastly, WHY did they do it?!

Please help!

Yes, that one is for real. I forgot the name of the bldg, anyway it's located in Umeda area, Osaka. The highway came first ^^

i thinks its cool that the highway runs through the building...
but what would be the reason to do this?
theres an expressway in chicago that runs through the cook county hospital....

I think I saw one in a PV once, that goes under a building. The only clue I can give is that it would be the same stretch of highway that connects to the Rainbow Bridge.

I knew that building before I even opened up the thread.Thats the Umeda exit on route 11 on the Hanshin Expressway just before you enter the loop.
