that project looks good, shiraz really needs a good new hotel, the homa hotel they got is getting really old now. they built that hotel pars like 5 years ago but theres a huge dodgy story behind that place and the management is bad

Now that's a nice looking hotel! (reminded me of the Titanic hotel in Turkey)

LOL Gilgamesh, yeah I saw that house on the left, they will probably remove it. Imagine a tourist staying at this beautiful and luxurious hotel watching out of his window. :lol:

When you build a 5 star hotel, it must fit the immediate environment and infrastructure. My country makes the same mistakes. I hope they have learned by now (I doubt it) that it's not a good idea to just randomly build luxurious hotels, in the middle of nowhere. :yes:

The hotel is located right on the entrance of Shiraz city, (by the 'Darvezeh Quran')...having been to Shiraz a few years ago, i think its an ok location actually

Just so let you know, this project started in early 90s :) so yepp around 20years old

the soviets were helping the north Koreans to build that skyscraper. It started in 1987 but was halted in 1992 after the soviet fall. It was resumed in 2008. I assume the Chinese are helping the rest.. (Estimated time to be finished is 2012) ^^
But why the hell they need a hotel like that?who would go there?An 105 floor skyscraper...

Besides all,N.Korea is alot more modern than we think. The life style of it's people is a mess

i wanted just to show not to use the western sterotypes.
And i want to visit noth korea and see it with my own eyes.iran is 4 westeners like Afghanistan or we are arabs stoning 24 hours people.
i cant believe a so scientific advanced country like north korea is not able to feed its people,its communism bullshit,but i doubt people are starving like in Somalia.

Actually there were notable UN documented famines in the late 1990s. The people aren't starving like Somalia, but they aren't well fed either. The actual height of an average North Korean has actually been decreasing since the 1950s due to malnourishment.

When i say something built in North Korea i wasn't really referring to the hotel you posted above, i was referring to one of these crappy residental complexes built nowadays there, the hotel you posted is believed to be built in Pyongyang lol, from what i've heard the top is going to rotate 360 degrees giving all visitors up there a nice view over the skyline lol.

And North Korea isn't as crappy as you often see it on zionist news agencys etc, you can buy food in retail stores there and poor people get food rations which is enough to survive and grow.

Their communist regime has destroyed much of the country and impoverished it but still it is developing, from what i've heard housing and such is free but it might just be a rumor lol.

This is really PATHETIC!!! Other places in the world it take something like 2 years to build such a hotel but in Iran it takes like 10-15 years. I remember when I was in Shiraz like 8 or 9 years ago this hotel was under construction and actually looked pretty much like what it does today!! I don´t know what they have been doing in all these years in the mean time.
