The South Lake is actually quite scenic and I dun think they would 'allow' snakes and stuffs to be there because it is gonna be surrounded by expensive bungalows. Furthermore there is an exclusive school by the lakeside (Australian International School) ;)

the padang nearby the lake is the best place to lepak2 during weekend..u can play ur kites.. and remote control plane..the last time i when there..so many kites flying around..
i always confused with the Australian Intenational School there with Alice Smith International School..hehe :D

i dun think you are allowed to fly kites and remote control planes there anymore, probably becos it is private land and not a public park.
