I love Metro Manila skyline. Specifically, the Makati skyline, the Ortigas Center skyline, the San Juan skyline, the Taguig skyline, the Alabang skyline, the Manila skyline... all! :lol:

To the photographer... I made this great picture as my wallpaper. One of my managers here saw this and asked me if I took it from here (Sydney). I said it's in the Philippines. He was in total shock! Hahaha!

This concept is not just confined to Manila. Jakarta for example is more like an American city as well. It has the same subdivision look as Manila and has those satellite cities well.

i remember my relative from the states are really shock they we brought them to makati and ortigas.they never thought manila has better skyline than most part of the US.

I would say 7/10 for Makati & Pasig...but overall i would say 5/10..because you cannot see a significant skyline that you will always remember unlike that of New York ang Chicago..

And i would say 8.5 for Makati and 8 for Ortigas. Once the taller scrapers get finished like the St. Francis and Greenbelt Residences and Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila as a whole will definitely move into the 9 territory. IMO, i think Makati and Ortigas are significant skylines with dense concentrations which i can easily distinguish from it's Asian counterparts :okay:

Metro Manila has one of the best skylines in the world! Imagine when the PAGCOR Tower is built. Add to that other great projects like the Lopez Center, GA Sky Suites, Gramercy, Knightsbridge, One Galleon Place, Shangri-La at the Fort, and the Federal Land Tower! Whew.

Manila is the same as other ASEAN metropolis. I don't find it that American at all except the fastfood chains. Manila though reminds me of New York. It has that same vibe.

Well the master plan of the City of Manila was done by known American architect and urban planner Daniel Hudson Burnham. His Manila plan was inspired by the American capital. But the modern Metro Manila now is different, if there is a close similarity of the two it will be the culture.

That building is abandoned and didnt complete its construction. The sign that your seeing is just an ad for the bargain shops below it..:)

Get ready to experience the best of the Philippines as Manila once again hosts the Aliwan Fiesta 2009. This grand cultural festival is set to explode with all the pomp and pageantry this summer!

But the main highlight of the Aliwan Fiesta is the grand street dance competitionto be held on April 25. The parade usually starts at the Quirino Grandstand and will wind up to Aliw Theater

Catch all the drama and excitement as colourful festivals from all over the Philippines battle it out to become the Best Festival of the Philippines.

The Aliwan 2009, which is now on its 7th year, is slated April 23-25. Various activities are lined up during this 3-day fiesta. One of the highlights of the said event is the Reyna ng Aliwan where beauty queens from various cities and municipalities compete in a beauty pageant usually held at the Aliw Theater.
