This project is located in Taif (west of Saudi Arabia). It's due to open in late 2006. It consists of the follwoing,
32 stories tower
75,000 sq m shopping mall
375 shops
1100 sq m ice rink

cool, is it true taif has monkeys living in big trees? they say these monkeys used to cross egypt and started a community in taif, before suez canal was built :)

I can tell you that in the south (Aseer and next to the Yemeni border) there are tons of monkeys, I saw them when I climbed Jabal Al Sawdah and when I ventured near the border. They're everywhere.

About Taif, I might think that they should have some monkeys.

People think that there are hardly any development projects going on in Saudi. They are damn wrong. Its just that they dont give info about their projects. They like to keep a low profile. By the way, great news for Taif! And yes there are many monkeys in Taif! Baboons to be specific!

True, the Saudi developers don't give any publicity about their projects. There are hundreds of projects going on all over the Kingdom. For example, there are around 80 towers coming only in Madinah but you cant find anything about them on the internet. Don't worry though, I'll have a full thread soon about Madinah projects :cheers: .

Taif is turning out quit nice, i rekon with the tourism city built, Taif should become a major regional tourism site, (I am still new to the site, i understand i am not supposed to talk of other projects, but i was meening to ask about the location of the new Sudeer economic city) is it in Taif?

Since you mentioned that you are coming from the north of Riyadh. Any news on Durrat al Riyadh, Riyadh hills and Sunrise city.

last time i was in taif i use al obaikan tower as a compass,all areas looks the same:nuts:
and i noticed most lands in taif owned by two ,Al Obaikan العبيكان & Al Siwat السواط

actually father always searching for specific materials,i be with him as a photographer i visited many areas that interesting i can upload it next days,about taif trip we (me and father) was looking for perlight but we failed :P the mountains blocking our way! all blame go to GPS it telling us wrong way:ohno:
