A massive 3,717 square metre site. 28 floors of "cutting edge" architecture.
42 only luxury spacious sky-homes including 6 sub-penthouses.
One four-level penthouse....
...and only 2 apartments per floor (one per floor in the case of the sub-penthouses).

Marquis on Main nears completion

One of the Gold Coast’s ‘top end’ luxury residential towers, Marquis on Main, has been given a royal seal of approval by astute buyers.

Apartments in the exclusive development are almost sold, as listed developer FKP Limited pours the final floor on Main Beach’s most sophisticated residential tower project.

More than 13 luxurious apartments have been sold since March 2003, representing a total value of $12 million in sales, in a wave of tremendous sales activity spurred by the quality, superior level of finish and exclusivity of the boutique development.

Attention is now focussing on the sub-penthouse and penthouse apartments – some of the most outstanding lifestyle product ever seen on the Gold Coast.

The crowning jewel in Marquis on Main, the multi million dollar penthouse, spans four floors, covering a total of 780 square metres – offering unequivocal majesty in terms of the size and quality of Gold Coast penthouse living. This ‘crowning jewel’ together with three ‘sky-home’ apartments and four sub- penthouses are all that remain for sale.

Marquis On Main offers high standards of living for future Main Beach Residents. “Marquis on Main was always designed to ensure that all apartments are built to penthouse standards and this has been a major factor in the success to date,” says FKP Limited’s Group Sales and Marketing Manager, Mr Peter Malady.

“With design standards like these you can just imagine the opulence and class of the penthouse and sub-penthouses. They are also designed to capture the expansive views from all angles and offer superb quality.”

Marquis on Main is being developed on a prized site between Peak and Hughes avenues, just 100 metres from the Gold Coast’s alfresco dining hub of Tedder Avenue.

The tower has panoramic views to the east to the ocean, north to the Broadwater and west to the hinterland and a key feature is the size of the individual apartments, or ‘sky homes’ which average 212 square metres and include either two bedrooms and a media room or three bedrooms.

The media room doubles as a second entertaining area with provisions for cable TV, video and music on demand.

The size of the remaining ‘sky homes’ is accentuated by a higher than average floor-to-ceiling height. Each apartment will have either three or four balconies, at least one of which will be large enough to accommodate an eight-seat table.

Every apartment has at least two car parking spaces, together with storage space.

The sky homes are being built in a two-per-floor configuration that has allowed building designers to incorporate lifts that open on both sides directly into each apartment.

Prices for the remaining sky homes start at $865,000 for two and three bedroom apartments.

The four remaining sub-penthouses range from $2.05 million to $2.31 million.

The spacious sub-penthouses range in size from 302 square metres to 331sqm. Key features include one apartment per floor, exclusive private entry foyer, two bathrooms and powder room, master ensuite and spa bath, granite benchtops in kitchen and bathroom and marble floor tiles in bathrooms. The solid polished timber floors in family, living, dining and kitchen areas add to the overall high quality of the sub -penthouses.

Along with the above features, the sub penthouses also include climate control ducted air conditioning, home automation system for air conditioning and lighting.

The penthouse has 330sqm of external space and 437sqm internally and the first of four levels features a formal entry level and entryway, three metre ceilings, bar, formal dining area, kitchen, media room and wine cellar.

The second level includes the four bedrooms, including the master bedroom with a spa, a retreat area and balconies.

The third level includes a heated pool and terrace, enclosed entertainment area, outside spa and BBQ area.

The fourth level of the penthouse has views to the north, south and west and an external balcony area. It also offers an area, which could be utilised as a gym or home office.

The kitchens in the penthouses feature exquisite Gaggenau stainless steel appliances and fully integrated Gaggenau fridge.

Well with this one and also Newport finishing up I reckon it's time for more towers for this area. Not sure why Main Beach hasn't attracted as much development as the rest of the coast. Hopefully Axis and maybe a few other as yet unknowns will make it.
