Hi, well just to add to the horrible situation in Jordan at the moment, a Bahraini student died (pictured) and a few others are injured, one serious. I'm speechless at the moment. Allah yer7uma wey sahel 3la ahla inshalla o 3llah eys3d il bugaya o il jame3 :(.

A young Bahraini was among the 56 people killed when suicide bombers attacked three hotels in Amman, Jordan.

Two female Bahraini students were injured and one of them was reportedly fighting for her life in hospital last night.

Hamad Janahi, Iman Khalid Ibrahim Abdulgh-afar and Amal Ibrahim Faqihi were all in the hotel lobby when a bomber blew himself up at the entrance of the Grand Hyatt on Wednes-day night.

Mr Janahi, 24, was a law graduate from the Applied Science University (ASU), Amman and worked as a public relations manager at the ASU in Bahrain.

He was in Jordan on a business trip and was having dinner with the ASU president and other faculty members when the blasts occurred.

Ms Abdulghafar was taken to the Speciality Hospital, Amman, where last night she was seriously ill after surgery for head injuries and internal bleeding. Ms Faqihi was "stable" at the Ibn Al Haytham Hospital, also in Amman.

The attacks spurred tighter security in Bahrain, where foreign leaders from the G8 industrial democracies, the Middle East and North Africa meet today for the two-day Forum for the Future.

Bahraini Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa condemned the bombings as an "evil and cowardly act". Security for the forum was being tightened as a result of the attacks, he told a Press conference about the forum.

"Jordan, or Bahrain, we are all targets for terrorism," he said.

An Interior Ministry delegation left for Amman last night to follow up on the Bahraini casualties.

RELATIVES are grieving today for a young Bahraini graduate, killed when suicide bombers attacked three hotels in Amman, Jordan.

Hamad Janahi was killed and two female Bahraini students injured when a suicide bomber blew himself up at the entrance of the Grand Hyatt on Wednesday night.

The 24-year-old was a law graduate from the Applied Science University (ASU), Amman and worked as a public relations manager at the ASU in Bahrain.

His cousin, Emad Siddiqi, said he was in Jordan on a business-trip and was having dinner with the ASU president and other faculty members when the blasts occurred.

Mr Janahi was in the lobby with Bahraini ASU students Iman Khalid Ibrahim Abdulghafar and Amal Ibrahim Faqihi.

Ms Abdulghafar, a third-year student, was seriously injured while Ms Faqihi reportedly escaped with a relatively minor back injury.

Ms Abdughafar was taken to the Speciality Hospital, Amman, where a spokesman said last night that she was seriously ill after surgery for head injuries and internal bleeding.

Ms Faqihi was taken to the Ibn Al Haytham hospital, also Amman, where an official said she was stable.

Mr Janahi had finished his business in and was due to come home, when the attack happened. "This was supposed to be Hamad's last meeting and then he was going to come back to Bahrain," said Mr Siddiqi.

"We were very shocked when we heard the news at midnight, first from his friends in Jordan and then from the Bahrain Ambassador (Nasser Al Kaabi) in Jordan.

"We didn't want to believe it and decided to go to Jordan, but the ambassador said it would be an easier procedure for them to send the body back to us."

Mr Siddiqi said Hamad's body was due to arrive in Bahrain last night and would be buried at Riffa cemetery. Mr Janahi was a popular man, devoted to his work.

"He was a very kind and funny person and everyone who met him liked him instantly," said Mr Siddiqi.

"He had many friends both here and in Jordan who are all going to miss him greatly.

"Hamad was a workaholic and spent most of his time at work."

He loved to travel, but also loved gatherings with family. He leaves behind parents, two brothers and two sisters, all said to be deeply shocked.

Ms Abdulghafar was seriously ill last night with a head injury and bleeding in her lungs, said fellow ASU student Faisal Al Bualai.

He said Ms Faqihi suffered from a back injury, but was doing well.

Ms Abdulghafar's parents were at the hospital as she underwent surgery, said Mr Bualai.

He said Ms Faqihi's parents were on their way from Bahrain to Amman, but had not arrived when he spoke to the GDN in the afternoon.

Mr Bualai studies at the ASU with the girls, but was not at the hotel. A spokesman at the Bahrain Embassy in Amman confirmed that Mr Janahi had been killed and the two girls injured.

He did not have figures on how many Bahrainis might be in Jordan, but said no others had been caught up in the attacks.

Bahrain Education Ministry scholarship and cultural affairs head Rashed Darej reassured parents that all other Bahraini students studying in Jordan were safe, in a statement released yesterday.

"The cultural attaché in Jordan is following up the situation with the two injured students, in co-ordination with the Bahrain Embassy and all concerned bodies in Jordan," he said.

Meanwhile, Shura Council chairman Dr Faisal Al Mousawi, sent his condolences in a telegram to Jordan Shura Council chairman Abdulhadi Al Majaali, General assembly chairman Zaid Al Riffaie and Jordan's Ambassador to Bahrain Hussain Hazaa Al Majaali.

Dr Al Mousawi condemned the attack as immoral and pledged Bahrain's solidarity with Jordan. "These criminal acts that are against our religion are immoral and have no value for humanity," he said in the statement.

"Terrorist acts harm countries and people in a global level and it's necessary for the international community to stand together against such acts for world-wide peace and security."
