ray March 9th, 2003, 01:03 PM Not bad, not bad, these guys will sit pretty close to Pivotal point, so lots of action for Southport, gosh, there's no area of the coast which isn't 'getting some' at the moment;)
JayT April 2nd, 2003, 10:26 AM Here's a pretty good rendering from RE.com

Mr MacPhisto April 2nd, 2003, 12:34 PM Smack bang in the centre of Southport.
Is pivotal going just to the north of this project?
JayT April 2nd, 2003, 12:48 PM Pivitol is going where Meteora house is - right where the old mall used to be, opposite Australia Fair. Its the 5 or 6 story building in the above shot.
jt

Thanks. I didn't realise it was going there.
I wonder if people on this forum prefer what was the Southport Mall with or without traffic?
JayT May 26th, 2003, 09:34 AM I noticed in the paper they released the Big tower in the weekend so sales must be brisk.

The other one's not far behind either. I could have gotten heaps of better pics from the other side, you can practically walk onto the site, but there were so many construction dudes around, and I hate looking like some kind of nerdy trainspotter.
CULWULLA December 14th, 2004, 11:11 PM ^ lol, just say your from WorkCover and they will scatter like cockroaches.hehe

CULWULLA February 21st, 2005, 01:48 PM wow, nice shots! these dont look much atm but the slopped tops should ensure a good outcome.
like the last one. i can see Pivotal Point in backgrd
BrizzyChris February 22nd, 2005, 02:37 PM Where is it Cul, where where? ;) lol
RADULA February 25th, 2005, 05:04 AM I hope they dont paint them gr**n, I know ive said it before but shit in the render the towers are gr**n. By the looks of it the glass isn't gr**n (that is allowed), so the only way the towers will look like in the renders they will have to paint the concrete, gr**n is the forbidden colour.

Adam BK July 28th, 2005, 10:18 AM They better not save money and not paint it blue like in the render, it would be a shame as its such a nicely designed tower.
EDIT: Oh yes also thanks kwigibo for taking the pictures :)
fireflymairi September 26th, 2005, 03:05 AM STILL not externally complete! Have they given up on this one or something? Why don't they just paint it and get it over with. Oh well at least its a pretty photo - the sun and clouds co-operated. :D

Oriolus November 5th, 2005, 05:09 AM Well they don't look anything like the renders but nevertheless they look really classy. I was a bit worried this was going to be another case of "leave it looking like crap so the residents can save a few bucks a year" penny pinching. Good to see that's not the case - well done GPD, now get cracking on our Nautica!

They'd make good Generic council flats wouldn't they, imagine a few hundred of those sticking up all around Brisbane - probably best not to go down that path :runaway:
Adam BK December 3rd, 2005, 11:57 AM Was looking through the PRD website a few mins ago and this catched my eye:
FINAL TOUCHES ADDED TO SOUTHPORT'S LANDMARK TOWERS
The Gold Coast Bulletin, Friday 2nd December 2005
Long-time Gold Coast developer Noel Gordon's landmark Nexus project at Southport is set to deliver, with the first residents scheduled to move in by Christmas.
Builders Leightons Contractors this week splashed on a final coat of paint to complete the twin-tower project which, with Eddie Kornhauser's Pivotal Point, is credited with playing a pioneering role in the transformation of the Southport business district.
The $103 million project, which includes a cafe-restaurant and commercial precinct, has been developed on the former Guardian Angels site in Scarborough Street.
More than $80 in sales have been achieved and settlement is due early this month.
Construction of the 21-level North Tower and 27-level East Tower has taken 21 months and is due to be completed on time.
Nexus marketing agent Tim Holmes of PRDnationwide Gold Coast Corporate Office, is about to release for sale the last 20 Nexus apartments, including two full-floor penthouses.
All apartments are designed for owner occupiers and have large 'liveable' balconies that extend the living areas.
"The most enthusiastic group to embrace the project has been Coast and Brisbane residents, traditionally the most astute buyers of Gold Coast apartments," said Mr Holmes.
"I expect the final release of Nexus apartments to continue this trend and for the apartments to be snapped up by owner-occupiers."
Nexus Towers facilities include a 20-sea private theatrette, pool, sauna, barbecue area, gymnasium, landscaped surrounds and a grassed piazza fronting Scarborough Street.
--------------
Was this to make the building look more like the blue in the render or just another coat, has anyone seen the buildings lately?

The 1957 church was once Southports tallest building!
has it anything to do with Nexus? looks like its part of it?
