I'm wondering anyone got pics of Wisma u/c

or other building still u/c (not thew new one of course)

I don t get it , is Wisma 46 not the same as the wisma at BNI ??

I think encon meant pictures of Wisma 46 (and other finished skyscrapers)when it was still under construction.

Yeah, it would be interesting to see pictures of Wisma 46 when it was still u/c. Does anybody have some? I dont really remember it when it was still u/c

I still do, it was marvellous! Jakarta was booming at the time...half the buildings in the CBD now were completed within a 5 year time span in the 90s...

^^ during Jakarta's boom in the 90s i wasnt a total skyscraper fan yet (although was a bit interested)...so i didnt really pay attention. Its too bad, i'm sure it was an amazing sight.

I only remember that time seeing the spire was u/c with many cranes

Well, Dubai's boom is a lot bigger in absolute scale, but considering what Jakarta had in the late 1980s compared to the mid 1990s, it's a HUGE difference... most buildings you see in Sudirman were completed between 1991 - 1996

hard to imagine ;) we'd have at least 3 supertalls (Jkt Tower , Kuningan Persada, Signature Tower), with SCBD and Mega Kuningan all fully developed.

right, when was it actually constructed and finished?
I used to work in Kota, so I passed Jl Sudirman and Thamrin everyday, how come I didnt pay attention to it?

It was finished probably around September or October 1995. Construction probably commenced 1.5 years prior.

tx alvin. now i know why i wasnt aware of it. prior to '96 i still work in jl tendean (south jakarta) only in '96 i started working in kota.
