Whats your favourite Canadian project? It could be a building, a cultural institution, or even a transit project. So what is your favourite and where is it?

Probably the new Pearson airport... though I may be forgetting something.

Cityplace in Toronto is pretty fascinating too.

I would say the project that im most excited about is Vancouver's rapid transit expantion project.

The skyscraper im most exited about is the Shangri-La and Surrey's new 900ft tower.

I also really like the new convention centre design, YVR's new terrminal and who could forget Waterfront stadium.

The Ritz and The Uptown, ROM expansion. Although that new museum in Ottawa looks interesting too.

I'm quite looking forward to Edmonton's new art gallery and the new museum in Winnipeg.

For Vancouver, Shangri-La and 1331 georgia are going to be landmark towers and two of the best in Canada, too bad the beautiful Crystal Building is cancelled. I'm also looking forward to seeing the 900 footer in Surrey.

Calgary also has some impressive office proposals like Encana Tower and I can't wait.

For Toronto, my favourites would be AGO renovation, MaRS Discovery District, ROM, Four Seasons II, Ritz-Carlton, TIFFestival Tower, Hummingbird centre Tower, the countless mid-rise infill projects downtown, and the waterfront revitalization.

I love the new museum in Winnipeg. Shangri-La is also a great building. Would like to know more about the design of Encana before passing judgement.
As for Toronto, to many to count.

As a Calgarian, it would be impossible for me NOT to be the most excited about Encana.

I am definitely most excited about EnCana. The anticipation is killing me.

I am also looking forward to the new central library, whenever that gets off the ground, and the urban U of C campus project.

It's a tie between ....

the Sliver/5 King West (verison1)/5 King West (version 2)/One King West (version 1)/One King West (version 2)...

^^^ that's one project

AND

Downtown Plaza 1/Downtown Plaze 2/Sapphire 1 (no geodesic waterpark ball on top)/Sapphire 2 (ball arrives)/Sapphire 3 (slab arrives) and Sapphire 4 (TBA)

^^^ that's all one project

The great thing about Harry's projects is there is always a new design, a new financing model, (and the same leather couch in the model suite) to look forward to. Just wait for Sapphire 4... there's a rumour that Harry may hire an architect.

These projects are never static. Occasionally something gets built as well.
