Ok that was the "Century stadium" proposal for the 2006 SWC bid...

it does look A LOT like athlone and it may well be...but my gut says its the 80,000 proposal for the 2006 bid and cape town would have hosted the final in that stadium..

if you guys wanna really know what athlone stadium is said to be look like here is the newspaper image along with zentralstadion in leipzig the eaxct replica of what is proposed in terms of capacity structure design etc...

hope this gives u a better idea (note the stadium architect gets no points from me for originality!!! i mean these two stadia seem too similar...come on make it unique at least...give it an african theme for all i care..)
