Lightweight corrugated aluminium roofs will protect the houses from the elements for years to come, the distinctive wrought iron broekie lace has been preserved, and balustrades have been crafted out of fine-grained Balau hardwood, while the veranda floors are covered with Winkleman acoustic patio tiles imported from France.

Inside the homes have been thoroughly modernised for the ease and comfort of luxury waterfront living. Throughout the finishes and fittings are of the highest imported quality and customised according to owners’ specifications. The air is kept at a steady temperature by digitally controlled ducted air-conditioning for Unico Central Air USA. And at the heart of the home, the designer kitchen is fitted entirely with Gaggenau appliances from Germany, including a double-door fridge/freezer with water and ice dispenser, a four-ring gas hob, two ceramic plates, two under-counter ovens, a griller and a microwave

With its multitude of new shops, restaurants to suit every taste and occasion and waterside cocktail bars, the Point Precinct is enjoying an urban renaissance. the interior is not the final one that everyone gets, it was just in the show house...

love the fact that each home has a mini version of the main canal running past their doors. All parking is underground, so there are no roads between the homes, just water and gardens...But the homes left are going for R6.5m

They're very cute, and must agree with thryve that the interior (of the show house) is just terrible. They'll look very nice once they're all done. Maybe paint each house a different pastel colour? I once saw very similar Victorian type houses in Sydney, and their different colours were really attractive.

Yah it does look quite cute. But I still think some colour is needed. A splash of pink here and there should do the trick.. ;)

doesnt look that big, where are the mega boats?

dysan1
November 30th, 2005, 11:17 AM
boy, that canal was built so that they could bring tiny little boats up to their homes...all the big boats will stay in the marina or the deep canal section.

Havent' checked in a while what the occupancy levels are. However, I am happy to say that work has recommenced on the last 2 unfinished buildings at the corner of Browns and Timeball. Amongst others, the exteriors are getting painted and the windows are being fitted.

Went to take a look at one, they pretty small for 3.2 mill!

wow they're really nice! And I've changed my mind about the colour since 2005. Simple white is the way. I also quite like the interior now, and the fact that they're right on the street.
I thin 3.2 mil is a bit pricey for them considering the area isn't built up nicely yet. But if that's what people are buying them for, then good on the developers!

Mate, are those also for sale? If the little ones go for 3.2 i wonder how much those beasts are going to go for.
