Taichung (Traditional Chinese: 臺中 or 台中; Hanyu Pinyin: Táizhōng; Tongyong Pinyin: Táijhōng; Wade-Giles: T'ai-chung; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Tâi-tiong) is a city located in west-central Taiwan with a population of just over one million people, making it the third largest city on the island, after Taipei and Kaohsiung. The city's name is Chinese for "Central Taiwan."

But some of the skyscrapers look pretty cool. I have two Taiwanese friends from this city.
