we did a thread on this recently. i think Rialto has 85,000sqm. Sydney's new Westpac has 77,000sqm but has largest floors with over 3,000sqm per floor, some lower floors have 4000sqm.

what's the new Westpac?

I'm guessing Grosvenor Place is up there close to the top. 44 floors at 2000sqm if i remember correctly.

NAB Docklands or maybe the Coles Myer Battlestar Gallactica?

NAB is half a Rialto AFAIK.

101 and 120 Collins st have nearly the same amount, despite 120 being 20 meters taller.

Those are the only ones i remember.

85,000 - 90,000 whatever. they all pale in comparison to Crown Casino which is Australia's largest building at over 500,000 sq m.

Cheers

as office towers go, i think Westpac sydney (KENS) would be largest at 4,000sqm for first few floors then 3000sqm for typical floor.
dean- yes i reckon Crown casino would be largest floor area, but thats not office.? what is it? casino floor, carparking? huge.

I think Parramatta has it: the Jessie Street Centre has 5500sqm floor plates for levels 2-5, before shrinking to 1800sqm up to level 20. Total floorspace is 55,000sqm.

How big is Grosvenor compared to Rialto though? I always thought Grosvenor PLace was the largest??

yes Grosvenor Place has column free space each floor. approx 2000sqm x 44 = 88,000sqm?

The new Qantas hangar at Brissie airport creams the lot for sheer volume inside a single building, yes now we're getting technical........;)

Always thought that one would have a lot of space in it. How does 101 compare as it is quite wide.

Another building which I think is truly massive is the Sydney International Airport terminal. Core blimey.

Well since we are getting a little silly now, why not go all out:

Surely Coruscant has a few that are bigger than Rialto, Grosvenor or KENS. No-one can stop us dreaming:

It's Coles Myers Corporate HQ at Tooronga in Melbourne. Its a massive big low rise sucker of a building that is pretty intimidating from the road. Dont have pics tho.

i wonder why grosvenor place is always quoted as 2000sqm per floor and thus x44fl = 88,000sqm. why is it listed as under 83,000? weird.
also westpac in syd was over 77,000 but handed over 4000 for retail. gee westpac is shortest there at 140m but still 5th largest.

Because of the plant floors and cut out sections in the facade.

The floor ares do not include retail areas and most of the towers on the list have retail areas at the base of the tower.
