African Palms establishes its Umhlanga tap root

(New Developments) African Palms, a mixed use development in Umhlanga’s new town centre directly opposite the Gateway Shopping Centre, is intended to act as black owned African Technology Holdings KZN flagship in spearheading its future development strategy in the province, which director Alan Roper, says is full of exciting prospects.

The R80 million African Palms on The Boulevard, which is being developed by subsidiary ATH Property Developments, emphasises the company’s entrepreneurial spirit in development mix with its range of offerings. The first two floors are dedicated to shops, the third and fourth floors to offices, of which about 70 percent have already been let, and the top two floors to 24 apartments. These range in size from one-bedroom units with undercover parking starting at R915 000 to three bedroom penthouses with own splash pool or Jacuzzi for R2,95 million. The complex will also have its own gymnasium and swimming pool.

Marketing agent and principal of Seeff Umhlanga, Tessa Douglas, describes African Palms, as a small elegant building given “lots of pride” by its developers. Building costs of around R11 500 sqm, she points out, are well below Umhlanga’s current average of about R14 000 sqm to R15 000 sqm. Completion date is set for February 28 next year.

ATH Property Developments recently completed ATH House, the group’s KZN head office in La Lucia.

^^ hey there

They are the last to start and obviously last to finish. all the others near them will be complete by Dec at the latest...with The palms finishing in 2007 with african palms (all these f-ing palms names!!). I think completion around March/April 2007.
