Wow!!! Excellent looks of those buildings crowded together on that narrow isthmus. Doesn't really have enough height atm, but definitely has the density. Is this mainly a residential/resort area, or a business centre?

Cartagena is a beautiful city. Hope Colombia will come to its right soon. Latin americans should post more pictures of their countries, so outsiders could get an insight and better perspective/understanding of their countries. Great work here.

Cartagena is always amazing. This city will have the tallest building in Colombia: Torre La Escollera, 205 m.

9/10- it'll surely be a 10/10 by 2007 when all of the skyscrapers under construction are finished. the tallest will become colombia's tallest (escollera- 206 m; not 205 like iñaki-garcia said). the metropolitan population of cartagena is ~ 1,075,000.

sadly, no...they are going to tear it down a build a smaller one (i think its going to be 15-20 stories high)...but people bought in La Escollera b/c it was going to be the tallest building in colombia. And the construction company comes up with this (as we say in colombia) drool shower (which means fiasco). Too bad...it was going to suit the skyline nicely...other buildings are gonna suit it beter though..

CADENA TVE ESPAÑOLA EMITE PROGRAMA SOBRE LAS PLAYAS DE LA COSTA CARIBE COLOMBIANA

Hola a todos.
soy Colombiano, y hace 5 años que vivo en Madrid-España.
el día de ayer la cadena nacional Antena 3 emitió en su programa de verano ARENA MIX INTERNACIONAL: COLOMBIA
el programa de 45 min de duración se centro en las playas de Cartagena, Islas del Rosario, El rodadero y Parque Tayrona en Santa Marta y las fiestas de Cartagena y Barranquilla.
El programa lo vi con varios Españoles, brasileños, Alemanes, Italianos y Colombianos, y la verdad nos gusto mucho, porque enseñaron la belleza de nuestras ciudades y parajes naturales de la cultura caribe al igual que su música, la comida, la alegría y la amabilidad de la gente.

Observo que as fotos que melhor retratam a pujança da área financeira não foram colocadas aqui, mas dou 9,5 porque já vi muita coisa linda dessa que pra mim é a 2ª cidade mais linda da América Latina, perdendo apenas para o Rio de Janeiro.
As praias da cidade são lindas, o distrito financeiro moderno e arrojado e a área histórica SENSACIONALLLLL!!!!!!!!!!
