View Full Version : Edmonton's most expensive condo for sale - $2.38 million coldrsx November 25th, 2005, 07:13 PM http://www.oneriverpark.com 4472 sqft with one of the best views in the city...maybe the best Vanman November 25th, 2005, 11:03 PM I like the design of the building but it kind of looks like it's in the middle of nowhere. It also destroys the untouched look of the surrounding area being the only tower around. snoopy November 25th, 2005, 11:31 PM i'm guessing this is geared to the elderly... since all the people in the advertizements/pages were quite old. ???? okay building i guess. nice views. big W November 26th, 2005, 12:22 AM Its actually not the only tower in the area. Rhino November 26th, 2005, 12:27 AM Edmonton rocks , I always love to thing happening there , especially like this ! coldrsx November 26th, 2005, 12:47 AM yes...there are plenty of towers that flank it but none shown walli November 26th, 2005, 02:18 AM I just checked MLS for Calgary / Rockyview and it had about 20 properties above $3M where as Edmonton and surrounding areas had only two, of which one was just land. Highest priced condo on sale in Calgary right now is also in the $3M+ range, and I have no idea what the highest priced unit of all time would have been (but I suspect quite a bit more). Given Edmonton's economic boom, I'm a little surprised by their still low prices. scumtoes November 26th, 2005, 02:19 AM also, right near whyte ave, a stones throw from DT and, of course, the river valley literally at your doorstep. Bucanero November 27th, 2005, 04:04 AM also, right near whyte ave, a stones throw from DT and, of course, the river valley literally at your doorstep. And since it's marketed to old people, the nearby University Hospital is good too:) cmd uw November 28th, 2005, 01:40 AM Double Post cmd uw November 28th, 2005, 01:42 AM I just checked MLS for Calgary / Rockyview and it had about 20 properties above $3M where as Edmonton and surrounding areas had only two, of which one was just land. However, I believe that Edmonton holds title to the most expensive house, Daryl Katz $25 million buck mansion being built along the banks of the North Saskatchewan. The thing looks like a museum.... Most of the people who bought into One River Park are not that old. Many of them are retiring boomers or those who didn't want the 4500 sf house. In fact, I heard that many of the condos were sold to corporations. coldrsx November 28th, 2005, 06:03 PM ^i also heard many are for upper upper corporates. The thing looks like a museum.... so it really is that expensive, eh? damn...i used drive by periodically to check the progress on it, and i kept hearing it cost around $20mil but i wasn't sure if i believed it. my family home is on the crescent just north of katz's place too, and we actually live right near his brother-in-law's place (which is also a very impressive mansion) so i look forward to seeing them both again at christmas. coldrsx November 29th, 2005, 08:41 PM i heard that the top penthouse in ORP went for 2.5mil and the purchaser is putting in another 2.5mil....CRAZY |
