The people of Venezuela are rightfully proud of these twin 56-story buildings. The Parque Central Towers take their name from the lush green refuge in the heart of Caracas' urban jungle, but are still in the midst of a vast complex of office buildings and civilized amenities that would make most metropolitan areas jealous. At 725 feet, the towers are the tallest buildings in the country and the view from inside offers panoramic access to the city and the surrounding mountains.

8.5/10 - Overall, two impressive towers - Their shape, with its combination of right angles and curves, is lively and much more interesting than a simple box. There's a good contrast between the white trim and the blue glass, and the slim mullions help the height.

The roofs needed a few more setbacks to top them off, but at least they fit the rest of the buildings. I might also have added a setback or two...

They still, however, flow together, for the most part, to provide unity without monotony and variety without chaos.

These towers are pretty nice. The reflective glass is nice and it works well with the horizontal divisions of the building. Nice shape too. 8/10

whoops... what i meant is that there's not really a lot of WELL-KNOWN skyscrapers in caracas. don't get me wrong, caracas has one of the best skylines in s. america, but i think more should be done to give caracas the attention it deserves. (brazilian cities r like stealing the spotlights in s. america)

They certainly dominate their surroundings. Their shape - combined with the use of stone in much of the structure - gives a solid, sturdy appearance.

The facade looks a bit dated from some angles, but overall they're a good design.

Hello a Todos,

Soy una persona que vive en Caracas y que vió como se incendiaba una de las dos Torres de Parque Central en Caracas....fue impresionante ver como el fuego deboraba desde el 35 floor hasta el 56 floor.Fue trizte ver como se quemaba el que aun hoy en dia son los rascacielos mas altos de Sudamerica y uno de los pocos edificios gemelos que quedan en el mundo.

Duró como 12 horas incendiándose la Torre Este,ya que los Bomberos no pudieron actuar facil,ya que el descuido,la falta de sistemas de incendio,hizo que se perdieran casi la mitad de la Torre...en verdad como venezolano que soy,me dolió mucho ver mis hermosas Towers,que son para mi,la version pequeña de ls Petronas Towers de malaysia.

Algunas personas de esta web page,ya conocen en photos a las Parque Central Towers,los edificios mas altos de mi Caracas Futurista.La torre que se quemó fue inagurada en 1979 y la otra Torre,la que no se quemó,en 1982.

Ojalá se tome medidas drasticas para evitar que suceda otro incendio asi.Se va a invertir varios millones de Dolares en su recuperación,espero que queden tan lindas como lo son.
Habalr de mi Caracas,es increible,se le puede llamar la Seul de Southamerica por que es un Valle rodeado de montañas,pero tambien se le conoce como la Hong Kong de Southamerica,ya que son tantos los edificios altos y construidos en las montañas,que ninguna ciudad de Latinoamerica la rivaliza,ni siquiera Sao Paulo o Mexico City,a pesar que tienes mas habitantes y mas edificios,pero pocos de mucha altura como en Caracas.

si tuviera que dar puntos a mis Towers,le doy un 9.5/10,ya que son pocas las estructuras gemelas altas que hay en el mundo,solo las petronas Towers o las Financial Centre de new York son las parecidas.

Que no se repita semejante incendio en Caracas,espero que asi sea.

This picture was taken probably 20 years ago (or even more).

Now this is the current view of Parque Central east tower. That huge crane is attached once again to the structure because the tower is being restored. This tower was partially damaged by a fire that literally devoured 22 floors, the floors above the 37) few months ago.

"EL NACIONAL" is a local newspaper in Venezuela.

The shape is nice and there are two which is cool but...
They look so unfinished :-( Bare concrete looks awful and the cladding seems very poorly maintained as well, or poor quality.

i love ccs twin towers, overall, they're built at 70's ..a lot impressive and modern for that time.. they're still very actual and it's the tallest structure "en concreto armado" at latin america... for me ..a perfect 10 because the modernism at the time they were built and because they're still being a symbol for venezuela and latin america

It`s not. The tallest, and sorry if i bother you, is still being Torre Mayor, that will hand her title to The Point, in Panama the next year. Then, both will be surpassed by Torre Gran Costanera in Santiago, and then by Los Faros de Panamà and then by Torre Bicentenario II ( if it gets built ) and so on.

Argentina should surprise us!

By the way, the twin towers are cool, but the other buildings should be destroyed and then rebuilt. They look,mmmm, sovietic, with no offense to soviets.

I give the two office towers a 8/10. and the apartment towers a 6/10 because when they are viewed from far away they look good, but when viewed at a closeup, they are starting to look like crap. They need renovations or exterior cleanup or something.

One question: How did they rebuild the east tower aster the fire? If the east tower had collapsed, we would be in extreme mourning.

It hasn't collapsed. As you know the east tower has been in a slow process of renovation during the last 4 years. It is still undergoing major repairs due to the damage caused by the fire and will apparently be opened next year.
