I want to make up a list of the world’s famous brands(for clothing) locating in Bangkok. Here are some I can think of. I want to put up this list in the VS thread to support Bangkok’s title as SEA’s top shopping destination. So, I need some help from you guys. Please write some more if you can think of any...

I'd better call the "outlet" (one I mentioned) with another term. Indeed, it's kinda space in the department store sublet to particular brands. It's not the common (big) "outlet" that usually offers sale items. Basically, the prices are usually the same (b/w the ones at the store and the "sublet") unless they are not on sale.

Btw, Marc Jacobs "sublet" is at Central Chidlom; the bigger store is at Siam Paragon.

Not sure whether BKK has a Christmas sale (as I'm based in HK) but I think there is.

I remember seeing them at the large IT shop at one of the higher floors of Pantip Plaza. But I haven't been there in a couple of years now so not sure if they still have them. You better stop someone and ask where he or she got it. ...and then report to me ;)
They are damn comfortable bags.

Anybody who lives in Bangkok who can help me locating these stores:

- Club 21 - 494 Ploenchit Road, Lumpini, Pathumwam 10330, Bangkok
- ON PEDDER - 999 Ploenchit Road Bangkok, 10330, Thailand

I´ve tried Google maps but I get several results for the same adress/store so
I´m not at all sure which one is the right location.

ON PEDDER should be located in Gaysorn - or so I´ve read somewhere - but when I check gaysorn.com for information I cannot find the store anywhere on their webpage...???!!?

Hope somebody can help me :)

Also the last time I was in Bangkok I saw some really cool clothes by Thai designers. Is there any designers in particular I should look out for? Would really love to buy some clothes by Thai designers as it isn´t available here in Europe.

Of course you have to promote the brand you are involved in :) And it looks really really cool! Definitely interested!

Well I´m only interested in womens wear as my boyfriend also works in the clothing industry so he only wears that brand :)

But I love avantgarde but "classic" - if that make sense :D - Ann Demeuleester, Haider Ackermann - can you by the way find Haider Ackermann i Bangkok?, Comme Des Garcons, Rick Owens and such brands. Would be wonderful if I could find a Thai brand who are a little similar in style :)

im not really sure if its avant garde, but i think its one of the coolest brands around http://www.wwa.co.th/ i find some pieces too much for me but its always fun to see their stuff. If you want to see thai brands i recommend Siam Center its like the thai designers hub. Another brand you shouldnt miss is Greyhound.

More Versace-related products in Thailand

Everest World, local importer and distributor of luxury apparel brand Versace, will launch two new diversified products Versus and Versace Home into the Thai market next year.

The expansion of Versace's portfolio in Thailand is in line with Versace Italy , which recently appointed Gian Giacomo Ferraris as its new chief executive officer to manage Versace business all over the world.

Vorasom Pagtaranigon, brand manager, Everest World, said that the new CEO, which has been effective since the mid of July this year, would take responsibility in supporting the significant change of Versace and to become the leading producer and designer for furniture and lifestyle products.

He want to take focus on creating clear product portfolio for the Versace brand, which will consist of four major products, which are Versace Collection, which is the brand for men's apparels and business uniforms; Versace Mainline, which is the brand for men's and women's apparels for casual, business and party; Versus, which is the brand for young and trendy apparels; and Versace Home, the brand for home furnishing products and porcelains.

Everest World has authorization for importing and distributing Versace brand exclusively.

Vorasom said that the Versace Collection and Versus would be launched locally at prices 15 per cent and 25 per cent cheaper than Versace Mainline products respectively.

"We will next year redecorate our Versace flagship store at Siam Paragon adding the new Furniture Home collections. We will also open our first Versus 'shop-in-shop' outlets at Central Childlom . Versus will be the first Versace's brand opened retail outlet in department store. We will also open Versace Collection at Central Chidlom next year," she added.

Vorasom said that the company planed to open flagship stores for both Versus and Versus Home products in the near future.

"We (Everest World) will comply the business strategy of Versace Italy set to boost a big return of Versace brand all over the world. The market penetration from next year will be more perfect with the support plan from Versace Italy ," she said.

She added that the local launch of Versace's new brands would help extend the new customer base.

"For the 2010 business plan, we prepare the marketing budget for 12 per cent of sales to remind customers for the Versace brand through advertisement campaign and continuous import of new products," said Vorasom.

She said that in Thailand , the Versace's performance in the first four months of this year is unsatisfactory due to political and global economic problems.

However, the company posted double digit growth in the second part of the eight-month period of this year. We also expect our sales this year to increase double digit to between Bt80 million and Bt100 million," said Vorasom. She added that with good sign of economic recovery, the company had seen greater number of shoppers buying Versace, both local people and foreign tourists.

After the political unrest of the past few years, the capital has witnessed a parade of the world's most popular brands here, be it Zara, Gap, Breshka, Forever 21 Inc and Uniqlo, the world's fourth-largest brand that opened its flagship store on the second floor of CentralWorld today.

Other brands that plan local debuts include H&M of Sweden, Givenchy, Alexander Wang and Lanvin, as the retail business is burgeoning, with the growth rate more than doubling this year.

Fashion brands might also expect even greater purchasing power once the Asean Economic Community takes effect in 2015.

New malls will beckon the newcomers.

"Bangkok has a global market for fashion now the same way it used to be in Singapore and Hong Kong," said Chalit Limmpanavech, a marketing specialist and director of the Thailand Management Association.

Executives at Central Pattana Plc, the operator of Central shopping complexes and The Mall Group, the operator of The Emporium and Siam Paragon, agreed there are long waiting lists of international fashion brands wanting to rent space.

"Thailand has huge market potential because there are so many young people interested in trends. It is a strategically important country in Uniqlo's quest to become the leading apparel brand in Asia," said Tadashi Yanai, CEO of Uniqlo, during his visit to Bangkok yesterday.

Uniqlo plans to open its second branch in CentralPlaza Lardprao in October and a third at Central Rama IX in November, with a fourth early next year. It hopes to have 100 Uniqlo outlets here by 2020.

The CentralWorld branch is 2,750 square metres, its largest in Southeast Asia. It offers 500 items for babies, children and teens created in conjunction with the renowned designer Jil Sander.

Forever 21 Inc, the American fashion brand, just opened its second branch of XXI Forever on the ground floor at CentralPlaza Lardprao.

Sales for Forever 21 grew an average of 25% the past five years and are expected to continue at that level for another five.

"Though there is an economic recession in many parts of the world, the business of Forever 21 was not impacted. Even so, the recession is only a cycle. Our job is to offer affordable products by maintaining low overhead costs and offering a low margin," said Larry Meyer, an executive vice-president of the company.

ได้ข่าวมาว่า Louis Vuitton จะมาเปิดด้วย ผมเดินๆ ดู พื้นที่ชั้น M มีหลายที่หลายห้องว่างอยู่ก็จริง แต่มันห้องเล็กมากๆ แค่ห้องเล็ก ซึ่งไม่น่าเป็นไปได้อยู่เเล้วที่ Louis Vuitton จะมาเปิดเเค่เพียงห้องเล็กๆ

Correct H&M is not a high level brand. Many US teenagers shop at H&M. Nonetheless, it's more options for Thais though.

yeah, I think UNIQLO Bangkok (at Central World) is slightly cheaper than UNIQLO Singapore (at Ion Orchard as I saw) or Taipei (at Hankyu Dept store near Taipei 101 or at Chung Hsiao Road across street from old California Fitness, now World Gym) (or probably even in Kowloon across street from MIRA Hotel), but its more expensive than UNIQLO Tokyo (all over the place) :nuts:

the huge UNIQLO at Central World this past flooding weekend was PACKED and people buying buying....

a new UNIQLO will open at Central Ladprao this weekend :okay:

After some online price comparisons, I found the prices are mostly marginally different. Nevertheless, some jeans selections are priced about 10% lower than Singapore's which is still a good-buy. But what really caught me off-guard are their boxes!!!

Thailand->195B. Singapore->$14.90 (about 360B!!!) :nuts::ohno: So I know now what to stock up on my next trip!!! :lol:

Aiming to achieve double-digit growth next year, Asia Books, a distributor and bookstore-chain operator specialising in Englishlanguage books, plans to add new branches including its largest-ever store, in Bangkok, next month.

"This Bt150million flagship store is the largest investment in the company's 43-year history," managing director Sirote Jiraprayoon told The Nation.

The new store located on 900squaremetre areas on the sixth floor at Central World shopping centre will leave 500-square-metre store at Siam Paragon as number two. Its new design concept would be totally different from other format.

The company aimed to design an ambience and environment at the flagship store to encourage customer a love of reading, said Sirote.

Apart from this biggest store, by next month Asia Books will add another branch, worth of Bt10 to Bt20 million, at Central Rama 9.

Since late last year, the company had spent about Bt10 million for its software license and infrastructure to set up online services, including website upgrading, e-book mobile applications development. With this move and more than 700,000 English language e-book titles, the company aims to attract more new generation readers. The books are available in both pdf and e-PUB (electronic publications) formats protected copyright by enforcing digital rights management.

Though e-business contributes just five per cent proportion of total sales from its owned stores, the company so far sees fivefold surge in e-business from early this year.

Sirote said that the company projected to enjoy 10 per cent growth in sales to Bt1 billion from Bt900 million last year. Of that, 90 per cent was resulted by sales at Asia Books and Books and Bookazine stores while the rest from joint management with partnered bookstore chains for English language book zone. Those partners are SEED, B2S and other individual booksellers.

Meanwhile he added that branch expansion remained a key strategy in next-year plan. The company earmarks approximately Bt150 million to add 15 new branches both in Bangkok and upcountry, up from 70 branches now. To cope with decline of consumer's purchasing power in first half next year due to this year flooding, the company is also focusing on promotion and marketing event organisation throughout next year.

"With these given factors, we strongly believe that we will enjoy 25 per cent growth in sales next year," managing director said.

50 new brands expected to debut in Bangkok this year

Two long-awaited international fashion brands _ Ralph Lauren and H&M _ are ready to debut in Thailand soon.

The American Ralph Lauren brand will open its first flagship store in Thailand at Central Embassy, the new complex at the Phloenchit intersection.

The H&M clothing chain, which has more bargain offerings, will anchor its first store with a two-storey unit at Siam Paragon in October.

At least 50 other brands and fashion, lifestyle, coffee, food, entertainment and automotive products stores are planning to come to Bangkok by next year.

They include Levi's Vintage, Oakley, Agnes B, Giuseppe Zanotti and Sretsis Martina, as well as Miu Miu, which is ready to re-enter the Thai market after withdrawing several years ago.

Kriengsak Tantiphipop, the chief marketing officer of Siam Paragon Development Co, said the company is allocating about 1 billion baht from 2010-13 on a facelift for the mall to allow the parade of new brands.

More than 30 new brands will open their doors in Siam Paragon this year.

Louis Vuitton will open its new shop in Siam Paragon in July, followed by Miu Miu, a Rolls-Royce showroom and Kidzania education centre.

H (Thailand) Co, operator of the H&M brand, has a 3,000-square-metre shop.

Mr Kriengsak said the entry of new 30 luxury brands to Paragon will create investment of 2-3 billion baht.

"Thailand is full of Chinese tourists and has become an important destination for luxury and lifestyle brands to have a presence," he said.

Luxury consumption in China is about 20% of global luxury consumption now and is expected to increase to 50% over the next 10-13 years, he added.

Mr Kriengsak said overall demand for luxury products grew by 30-40% per year the past five years and is expected to rise by 20-40% this year.

Sales at Siam Paragon Development in the first quarter rose by 15%, higher than earlier projected.

The company expects its sales for the whole year will grow by 20% to more than 10 billion baht.

The Siam Paragon Luxury Property Showcase 2012, an exhibition of A-class houses, condominiums and resorts with more than 10,000 units in prime locations across the country, just started and runs until May 20 in Siam Paragon's Hall of Fame.

I'm surprised Bangkok doesn't have a more well known name in the fashion industry, considering there are so many high end brands and retailers in Bangkok. I find the prices are pretty much identical to prices in the US, but are sometimes a bit higher. Which could very well be attributed to the VAT that are imposed.

Muji eyes larger piece of Thai pie

Muji, the Japanese clothing company known for its minimalist designs and no-logo policy, will try to gain a greater share of Thailand's fiercely competitive fashion industry next year with a new pricing strategy.

Muji fashion company will import directly from China next year to cut transport and tax fees.

Satoru Matsuzaki, managing director of the Ryohin Keikaku Group, the maker of Muji products, said the company has spoken with Central Department Store, which is the distributor of Muji in Thailand, to import Muji apparel directly from its factory in China next year.

This will help to reduce retail prices of Muji products here by 15-20%, as import tax and transportation cost will be cut.

Currently, Muji products in Thailand are priced 20-30% higher than in Japan, particularly apparel, as the clothes produced in its Chinese plant are exported back to Japan before delivery to Thailand.

"With our improved logistics, it will not only help our prices go down but also make our new collections available in the Thai market about three times faster than in the past," said Mr Matsuzaki.

He said it takes about 20 days to deliver Muji apparel to Thailand compared with only seven days if they were shipped directly from the Chinese factory.

The company started revising its pricing policy for apparel because more than 90% of Muji clothing is produced in China.

But the other Muji products including beauty items are produced in Japan.

Muji opened its first outlet in Thailand in 2006, in Central Chidlom. Now there are nine Muji stores in the country.

The business in Thailand has gradually increased year by year, as it has no direct competitors.

"Zara, H&M and Ikea are our competitors, but nobody offers such a wide product range - from apparel, cosmetics, stationery, kitchen appliances, bedding and bath items to food," he said.

Muji sells more than 7,000 products. It positions itself as a reasonably priced brand, keeping prices lower than usual by carefully selecting materials, streamlining its manufacturing process and minimising packaging.

Apart from its apparel, the company plans to add more beauty and food product lines next year and open one or two new branches in Thailand each year.

The company plans to add another 50 new stores in the international market each year, along with 10-20 stores domestically.

As of Aug 31, there were 550 Muji stores worldwide including 379 in Japan, and the global total will reach 592 by year-end.

"นักช็อปไทย" ติดอันดับโลก "ลักเซอรี่" สุดฮอตโตทุกเซ็กเมนต์

จากข้อมูลวิจัยที่เปิดเผยออกมาของบริษัทวิจัยชั้นนำของโลก "ยูโรมอนิเตอร์ อินเตอร์เนชั่นแนล" เกี่ยวกับเทรนด์การเติบโตของกลุ่มสินค้าลักเซอรี่ในไทยอีก 5 ปีข้างหน้า ทำให้เราเห็นถึงกลุ่มกำลังซื้อระดับบนที่ยังมีอยู่มหาศาล ซึ่งสะท้อนให้เห็นถึงโอกาสการเติบโตของสินค้าหรูในไทย

รายงานดังกล่าวมองการเติบโตของสินค้าลักเซอรี่ในปี 2555 และปีต่อจากนี้ โดยคาดว่าจะเติบโตเป็นตัวเลข 2 หลัก ไล่ไปตั้งแต่กลุ่มแบรนด์เครื่องแต่งกายจากดีไซเนอร์ คาดว่าจะเติบโต 20% ผลิตภัณฑ์ความงามระดับซูเปอร์พรีเมี่ยม เติบโต 18% กลุ่มแอ็กเซสซอรี่ที่เป็นลักเซอรี่เติบโต 35% ยอดขายในร้านค้าปลีกโต 5.8% อสังหาริมทรัพย์ระดับพรีเมี่ยมโต 15% และธุรกิจโรงแรมเติบโต 15% ขณะที่มูลค่าตลาดสินค้าลักเซอรี่ในประเทศไทย จากการคาดการณ์อีก 5 ปี

จากนี้ แยกเป็นเสื้อผ้าที่ออกแบบโดยดีไซเนอร์สิ้นปีนี้คาดว่าจะมีมูลค่า 496 ล้านเหรียญสหรัฐ จะเพิ่มเป็นเกือบ 600 ล้านเหรียญ ในอีก 5 ปีข้างหน้า, กลุ่มจิวเวลรี่และนาฬิกาจาก 280 ล้านเหรียญสหรัฐ จะเพิ่มเป็น 378.7 ล้านเหรียญสหรัฐ ขณะที่กลุ่มไวน์ แชมเปญ สุราระดับพรีเมี่ยมจาก 220 ล้านเหรียญสหรัฐ ปีนี้จะเพิ่มเป็น 257 ล้านเหรียญสหรัฐ สุดท้ายกลุ่มผลิตภัณฑ์ความงามที่เป็นซูเปอร์แบรนด์จาก 105 ล้านเหรียญสหรัฐ จะเพิ่มเป็น 125 ล้านเหรียญสหรัฐ

ไม่แปลกที่เราจะเห็นบรรดาศูนย์การค้าต่าง ๆ มีการเพิ่มพื้นที่ของบรรดา "ซูเปอร์แบรนด์" ไม่ว่าจะเป็นกลุ่ม LVMH ที่มีแบรนด์ใหญ่อย่างหลุยส์ วิตตอง, คริสเตียน ดิออร์, เฟนดิ, พราดา, บลูการี เตรียมแผนการรุกตลาดเมืองไทยเต็มรูปแบบในปีนี้ ทั้งการเปิดหลุยส์ วิตตอง สาขาที่ 3 ในพารากอน, การขยายร้านคริสเตียน ดิออร์ ให้ใหญ่ขึ้นในเอ็มโพเรียม เช่นเดียวกับเตรียมเปิดแบรนด์เฟนดิเพิ่มอีก 1 สาขาในพารากอน

ก่อนหน้านี้ "ทศ จิราธิวัฒน์" กรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ บริษัท เซ็นทรัล รีเทล คอร์ปอเรชั่น จำกัด ชี้ว่า จากการสำรวจตัวเลขล่าสุดของกลุ่มนักลงทุนในประเทศยุโรปเกี่ยวกับประเทศที่น่าจับตามอง

ทั่วโลก พบว่าไทยถือเป็นอันดับ 1 ของโลก เพราะมีจำนวนกลุ่มชนชั้นกลางที่มีกำลังซื้อจำนวนมากและมีแนวโน้มเพิ่มสูงขึ้น ส่งผลให้ภาพลักษณ์ของไทยในสายตาชาวยุโรปขณะนี้กำลังก้าวเข้าสู่ประเทศที่เจริญแล้ว ซึ่งแนวโน้มดังกล่าวส่งผลดีต่อธุรกิจค้าปลีกไทยที่มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงและเติบโตอย่างเห็นได้ชัดในช่วง 3 ปีที่ผ่านมา

นอกจากนี้ผลการสำรวจดังกล่าวยังพบว่า กลุ่มนักท่องเที่ยวไทยมีระดับความนิยมเข้าไปช็อปปิ้งในกลุ่มประเทศยุโรปติดอันดับ 6 ของโลก รองจากจีน, รัสเซีย, ญี่ปุ่น, อเมริกา และอินโดนีเซีย

ด้าน "ศุภลักษณ์ อัมพุช" รองประธานกรรมการบริหาร บริษัท เดอะมอลล์ กรุ๊ป จำกัด ชี้ว่า ภาพตลาดค้าปลีกไทยขยายตัวต่อเนื่อง โดยเฉพาะในกลุ่มสินค้าลักเซอรี่แฟชั่นและสินค้าไลฟ์สไตล์เนื่องจากการขยายตัวของกลุ่มคนรุ่นใหม่ การขยายตัวของเศรษฐกิจในประเทศทำให้กำลังซื้อที่มากขึ้น เช่นเดียวกับภาพของความเคลื่อนไหวของแบรนด์สินค้าต่าง ๆ ที่มีความคึกคักมากขึ้น

อาทิ สยามพารากอนจะมาครบทั้งลักเซอรี่ ฟาสต์แฟชั่น อาทิ คิดส์ซาเนีย, ฟาสต์แฟชั่น, รถยนต์ระดับหรูโรลสลอยซ์ที่จะมาเปิดบูติคแห่งแรกของโลกที่พารากอน, ศูนย์การค้าเอ็มโพเรียม 1-2 ที่เตรียมปรับพื้นที่รองรับการเข้ามาของร้าน "อาร์มานี่ คาเฟ่" ที่จะเข้ามาเปิดครั้งแรกในเมืองไทย รวมถึงร้านซูเปอร์แบรนด์หลุยส์ วิตตอง ที่เตรียมเปิดร้านไซซ์ใหญ่ 1,000 ตร.ม. เช่นเดียวกับกลุ่มแอลกอฮอล์ระดับพรีเมี่ยม "แกรม ฮาร์โลว์" กรรมการผู้จัดการ บริษัท ดิอาจิโอ โมเอ็ท เฮนเนสซี่ (ประเทศไทย) จำกัด ผู้นำเข้าสกอตวิสกี้แบรนด์จอห์นนี่ วอล์กเกอร์ กล่าวว่า ผู้ที่มีรายได้สูงในประเทศกลุ่มเอเชีย-แปซิฟิก รวมถึงไทยมีการขยายตัวสูงขึ้นและคิดเป็นจำนวนที่มากกว่าในสหรัฐและยุโรป และทำให้สินค้าลักเซอรี่ไม่ว่าจะเป็นเครื่องประดับ นาฬิกา เสื้อผ้า ผลิตภัณฑ์ความงาม วิสกี้พรีเมี่ยม และซูเปอร์ดีลักซ์วิสกี้ในเอเชียตลอดช่วงที่ผ่านมามีการเติบโตอย่างรวดเร็ว โดยเฉพาะในไทยที่มีการขยายตัวสูงถึง 41% ตลอด 5 ปีที่ผ่านมา

จากแนวโน้มดังกล่าวทำให้กลุ่มดิอาจิโอมุ่งเพิ่มน้ำหนักการลงทุนในเอเชีย-แปซิฟิก โดยเฉพาะเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้จะเห็นได้ว่าพอร์ตสินค้าระดับซูเปอร์ดีลักซ์ของบริษัท นำโดยจอห์นนี่ วอล์กเกอร์ บลู เลเบิ้ล มีการเติบโตถึง 38% ในภูมิภาคนี้

ด้าน "แพทริค เฮาเอิร์ต" กรรมการผู้จัดการ บริษัท สวารอฟสกี้ (ประเทศไทย) จำกัด กล่าวว่า ช่วงที่ผ่านมาแม้ว่าจะเกิดวิกฤตเศรษฐกิจในยุโรป ทำให้นักท่องเที่ยวในภูมิภาคเดินทางมายังไทยน้อยลง แต่สวารอฟสกี้ในไทยยังได้นักท่องเที่ยวเอเชีย โดยเฉพาะจีนเข้ามาซื้อสินค้าจำนวนมาก ด้วยราคาสินค้าในไทยถือว่าค่อนข้างได้เปรียบหากเทียบกับราคาที่จีน

ล่าสุดได้เปิดแฟลกชิปสโตร์ใหญ่ที่สุดในกรุงเทพฯและภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ พื้นที่กว่า 130 ตร.ม. ขึ้นที่พารากอนด้วยคอนเซ็ปต์ใหม่ ป่าคริสตัล โดยสินค้ากลุ่มหลักยังเป็นจิวเวลลี่ แอ็กเซสซอรี่ และคริสตัลลีฟวิ่งโปรดักต์

"แพทริค" ยังกล่าวอีกว่า สวารอฟสกี้ยังคงมองหาโอกาสที่จะขยายธุรกิจในไทยต่อเนื่อง ทั้งในห้างสรรพสินค้าเปิดใหม่ในกรุงเทพและต่างจังหวัดอย่างเมกะบางนาหรือเชียงใหม่

"เมื่อ 2-3 ปีที่ผ่านมา เศรษฐกิจในต่างจังหวัดเติบโตและคนมีอำนาจการซื้อมากขึ้น และถ้าการพัฒนาทางเศรษฐกิจยังคงเป็นเช่นนี้ต่อไป ก็จะเป็นโอกาสให้กับสวารอฟสกี้สำหรับการขยายธุรกิจในพื้นที่นอกเหนือจากกรุงเทพและย่านนักท่องเที่ยวด้วยเช่นกัน"

ด้วยจำนวนชนชั้นกลางและเศรษฐีไทยที่ขยายตัว บวกกับพฤติกรรม "ช็อปปิ้ง" ที่ติดอันดับโลกของคนไทย ถือเป็นโอกาสอันมหาศาลของสินค้า "ลักเซอรี่" ซึ่งทำให้ไทยขึ้นแท่นหนึ่งในประเทศที่เนื้อหอมที่สุด ที่บรรดาแบรนด์ดังระดับโลกต้องการเข้ามารุมแย่งเค้กตลาดที่กำลังเติบโตอย่างมหาศาลนี้

ยักษ์ค้าปลีกตามรอยความสำเร็จคลับ 21 เดินหน้าผุดร้านมัลติแบรนด์ นำเข้า "แฟชั่น-สินค้าหรู" เปิดตลาดในไทย ล่าสุดเดอะมอลล์ไม่ยอมน้อยหน้าเซ็นทรัล ผุด "คอมเทม ซาลอง" ขน 18 แบรนด์ยุโรปเอาใจนักช็อป มองเป้าหมายต่อยอดธุรกิจ รับกำลังซื้อและพื้นที่ค้าปลีกขยายตัว ด้านคลับ 21 ยังเดินหน้าเปิดช็อปใหม่ไม่ยั้ง

การแข่งขันของร้านมัลติแบรนด์ เริ่มคึกคักและร้อนแรงขึ้น โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งเมื่อกลุ่มค้าปลีกรายใหญ่หันมาสนใจธุรกิจรูปแบบนี้อย่าง จริงจัง ด้วยการนำเข้าสินค้าจากต่างประเทศจำนวนมากมาจำหน่ายรวมกันภายใต้รูปแบบร้าน "มัลติแบรนด์" เพื่อทดลองตลาด หากแบรนด์ใดได้รับการต้อนรับจะขยายเป็นช็อปของแบรนด์นั้น ๆ โดยเฉพาะ โดยที่ผ่านมา เซ็นทรัลกรุ๊ปส่งไม้ให้ "ซีเอ็มจี" ขนทัพ 60 แบรนด์ จัดเต็มในพื้นที่ร้านเน็กซ์ทูนอร์มอล เซ็นทรัลเวิลด์

ล่าสุดเดอะมอลล์เป็นอีก รายที่หันมาเปิดแนวรบเดียวกัน ยุบรวม "อีแอนด์พี ซีเล็กซ์ทีพ" ที่ได้ทดลองเปิดก่อนหน้านี้แล้วนั้น มาไว้เป็นส่วนหนึ่งในร้าน "คอนเทม ซาลอง" ที่รวมสินค้านำเข้ากว่า 18 แบรนด์ รองรับการเติบโตของพื้นที่ค้าปลีกที่เดอะมอลล์กำลังขยายสาขาเอ็มโพเรียม 2-3, บลูพอร์ท หัวหิน

ปัจจุบันผู้เล่นหลักในตลาดนี้คือคลับ 21 และคลาวไนน์

นาย ชัยโรจน์ ศรีเดชะรินทร์กุล ผู้จัดการใหญ่บริหารสินค้า บริษัท เดอะมอลล์ กรุ๊ป จำกัด ผู้ดูแลแผนกธุรกิจแบรนด์แอนด์ ไลฟ์สไตล์ ดีเวลลอปเม้นท์ เปิดเผย "ประชาชาติธุรกิจ" ว่า ล่าสุดได้เปิดตัวคอนเทม ซาลอง (Contemp Salon) ป๊อบ-อัพสโตร์ รวบรวมแบรนด์แฟชั่นสไตล์โมเดิร์นคอนเทมโพรารี่ ในรูปแบบ Multi Label เปิดเป็นแฟลกชิปสโตร์ 2 แห่ง ที่เอ็มโพเรียมและสยามพารากอน โดยพัฒนาขึ้นมาใหม่ หลังจากเคยทำคอนเซ็ปต์นี้มาก่อนในชื่อ "อีแอนด์พี ซีเล็กซ์ทีฟ"

สินค้าภายในพื้นที่คอนเทม ซาลอง ประกอบด้วยกลุ่มเสื้อผ้า เครื่องประดับ รองเท้า สำหรับผู้หญิงกว่า 18 แบรนด์ นำเข้าจากยุโรปเป็นส่วนใหญ่ อาทิ เอ็มม่า คุก, เฮ้าส์ออฟฮอลแลนด์, โจเซฟ, พอลแอนด์โจ, วาเนสซา บรูโน ฯลฯ ราคาสินค้าเน้นจับกลุ่มลูกค้ารายได้ระดับบีบวก ชื่นชอบสินค้าที่เน้นใส่ได้จริง ไม่หรูหรามากเกินไป

การพัฒนาร้านใน รูปแบบดังกล่าว สอดรับกับนโยบายของเดอะมอลล์ ที่กำลังจะเปิดเอ็มควอเทีย (เอ็มโพเรียม 2) มีแบรนด์ดัง ๆ มาเปิดร้าน หรือแฟลกชิปสโตร์อีกมาก ทำให้ร้านค้าในเอ็มโพเรียม 1 ต้องปรับตัวให้เกิดความแตกต่าง

"ต่อไป เอ็มโพเรียม 2 จะมีแบรนด์เข้ามาเปิดร้านมาก จึงต้องมีคอนเทม ซาลอง มาสร้างความแตกต่างให้เอ็มโพเรียม 1 จากที่เคยใช้ชื่ออีแอนด์พี มาจัดหมวดหมู่สินค้าใหม่ ให้อยู่ในพื้นที่ขนาด 200 ตารางเมตร"

แบรนด์นอกหันซบไทย

นาย ชัยโรจน์กล่าวอีกว่า ขณะนี้แบรนด์ดัง ๆ ในต่างประเทศ สนใจเข้ามาทำตลาดในไทย มีทั้งรายเก่าที่เคยเข้ามาแล้ว และรายใหม่ที่สนใจ ส่วนใหญ่แบรนด์เหล่านี้ยังไม่มีตัวแทนจำหน่าย ซึ่งเดิมการติดต่อเป็นไปด้วยความยุ่งยาก แต่ปัจจุบันยอมรับว่าการเจรจาง่ายขึ้น นอกจากนี้ เจ้าของแบรนด์ยังเปิดกว้าง ยอมให้มีตัวแทนจำหน่ายมากกว่า 1 ราย

อาทิ เครื่องประดับชูรูก (SHOUROUK) ของฝรั่งเศส มอบให้ทั้งเดอะมอลล์ กรุ๊ป และคลับ 21 เป็นรีเซลเลอร์ โดยมีการแบ่งกันอย่างชัดเจน

รูปแบบร้านมัลติแบรนด์จึงมีแนวโน้มเติบโต และไปในทิศทางเดียวกับร้านแนวซีเล็กต์สโตร์ ในแถบยุโรป เปิดเป็นร้านเล็ก ๆ ก่อนขยายเป็นดิสทริบิวเตอร์ กลไกสำคัญทำให้ร้านแนวนี้ประสบความสำเร็จ คือต้องเลือกสินค้ามาจำหน่ายให้ตรงใจลูกค้ามากที่สุด

คลับ 21 เน้นโตแล้วแตก

ผู้สื่อข่าวรายงานว่า ปัจจุบันคลับ 21 ใช้โมเดลธุรกิจนี้ทดลองกำลังซื้อแบรนด์ต่าง ๆ ในตลาดอย่างได้ผล ทั้งคลับ 21 วูแมน, คลับ 21 เมน, คลับ 21 แอ็กเซสซอรี่ ก่อนจะนำแบรนด์ดัง ๆ ที่ติดตลาดไปเปิดเป็นช็อปในลักษณะแฟลกชิปสโตร์ คอนเซ็ปต์สโตร์ ตามพื้นที่ค้าปลีกย่านใจกลางเมือง ซึ่งหันมาโฟกัสกลุ่มแฟชั่น และพยายามสร้างภาพสู่การเป็น "ผู้นำ" ในตลาดช็อปที่คลับ 21 เปิดในช่วงที่ผ่านมา มีทั้งช็อปแอ็กเซสซอรี่ของดีเคเอ็นวายและคาลวินไคล์น ที่เซ็นทรัล ชิดลม, อเล็กซานเดอร์ แมคควีน ที่เอราวัณ แบงค็อก ฯลฯ ตลอดจนมีแผนนำอีกหลายแบรนด์ในเครือไปเปิดช็อปที่เอ็มโพเรียม 2

ขณะ ที่คลาวไนน์ นอกจากมีช็อปรวมเสื้อผ้าเก๋ ๆ จากทั่วโลก ยังมีช็อปรองเท้าแบรนด์ดัง ที่เซ็นทรัล ชิดลม รวมถึงจะมีการเพิ่มแบรนด์ร็อคซานดา อิลลินชิค และพรีนเข้ามา พร้อมวางแผนต่อยอดเป็นดิสทริบิวเตอร์แบรนด์ที่ทำอยู่อีก 2-3 ยี่ห้อ ซึ่งนางประนับดา พรประภา กรรมการผู้จัดการ ยอมรับว่า ปัจจุบันมีร้านคอนเซ็ปต์เกิดขึ้นเป็นจำนวนมาก ตามเทรนด์ผู้บริโภคที่เปลี่ยนไป

"การเดินทางท่องเที่ยว หรือเปิดรับโซเชียลมีเดีย ทำให้เห็นเทรนด์ และสินค้าใหม่ ๆ ที่แตกต่าง สิ่งสำคัญ คือสินค้าที่นำเข้ามาขายในร้านลักษณะนี้ต้องมีบุคลิกที่ชัดเจน"

ส่วน นายศุภกิจ เกิดซ้ำ ผู้จัดการเน็กซ์ทูนอร์มอล ในเครือซีเอ็มจี มองว่า ผู้บริโภคตอบรับร้านรูปแบบนี้มากขึ้น โดยเตรียมต่อยอดแบรนด์ที่นำเข้ามาจำหน่ายกว่า 12 แบรนด์แล้ว และมีแผนจะเปิดร้านรูปแบบเดียวกันนี้ แต่เป็นคอนเซ็ปต์ลักเซอรี่ ที่เซ็นทรัล เอ็มบาสซี่ เป็นโครงการต่อไป

World-class shopping moves close

Retailers in Bangkok's Ratchaprasong area are repositioning themselves to upgrade their offerings and services to world-class level.

They aim to make the area a luxury shopping destination like New York's Fifth Avenue or Tokyo's Ginza district.

Gaysorn will soon have a major facelift, reducing the number of shops at the shopping centre but increasing the space of each outlet. More new luxury brands will be launched at Bangkok Erawan, opposite Gaysorn.

After Gaysorn's renovation, products and collections at each shop will be more exclusive. They will really be flagship stores with unique products.

About 150 luxury brands are preparing to open their stores over 140,000 square metres at Central Embassy by the end of next year.

Chart Chirathivat, manager of the Central Embassy project, said a market survey by Ledbury Group found that Thailand is now one of the world's most luxury-conscious destinations.

The Yves Saint Laurent luxury brand reported that Thailand ranked fifth for visits to its website in the first week after its new collection was launched.

Chai Srivikorn, president of the Ratchaprasong Square Trade Association and a Gaysorn executive, urged the government and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration to review the building code to allow each building to link together, as happens in Hong Kong and Japan. This would give shoppers more convenience and safety, he said.

"If they are allowed to link their buildings, many areas in Bangkok will have the potential to develop as special districts like Ratchaprasong, bringing more foreign investors to Bangkok," Mr Chai said.

นายชาติกล่าวต่อว่า สำหรับโครงการเซ็นทรัล เอ็มบาสซีจะยังคงมีกำหนดเปิดให้บริการตามเดิมในเดือน ธ.ค. ปีหน้า และในส่วนของโรงแรมจะเปิดให้บริการได้ในเดือน ก.ย.ปี 2557 ต่อไป ขณะที่ภาพรวมพื้นที่ทั้งหมดของโครงการอยู่ที่ประมาณ 11.4 แสนตารางเมตร เป็นพื้นที่เช่าราว 41,000 ตารางเมตร ที่เหลือเป็นส่วนของโรงแรม และที่จอดรถ

นายสรพจน์ เตชะไกรศรี ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหาร บริษัท เพซ ดีเวลลอปเมนท์ คอร์ปอเรชั่น จำกัด (มหาชน) กล่าวว่า ได้ลงทุน 1,500 ล้านบาทสำหรับคอมมิวนิตี้ "คิวบ์" ไลฟ์สไตล์ รีเทล เซ็นเตอร์ ซึ่งเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของโครงการมหานคร โปรเจ็กต์มิกซ์ยูส มูลค่า 19,000 ล้านบาท ในขนาดพื้นที่ 1 หมื่น ตร.ม. ซึ่งจุดเด่นของร้านค้าที่จะเข้ามาเปิดจะต้องพิเศษและแตกต่าง เนื่องจากจะให้พื้นที่เพียง 10 กว่าร้านค้าเท่านั้น เพื่อให้สามารถตอบสนองและความต้องการของกลุ่มลูกค้าได้อย่างเต็มรูปแบบ

"คิวบ์ ไลฟ์สไตล์ รีเทล เซ็นเตอร์ ความสูง 7 ชั้น เน้นกลุ่มผู้เช่าใช้พื้นที่ที่มีความพิเศษ เป็นแบรนด์ชื่อดังระดับอินเตอร์ที่ไม่เคยเปิดตัวในเมืองไทยมาก่อน และเป็นแบรนด์ที่มองหาทำเลที่ตั้งระดับเกรดเอ ที่มิใช่ในศูนย์การค้าทั่วไป ทำให้มีราคาค่าเช่าพื้นที่สูงสุดในย่านสาทร เฉลี่ยตารางเมตรละ 2,500 บาทต่อเดือน"

โว้กบาร์-บุ๊กสโตร์ มาร์คจาคอบ

คีย์แมนคิวบ์กล่าวว่า ปัจจุบันมีร้านอาหารระดับโลก 3 แห่ง ลงนามเซ็นสัญญาเช่าพื้นที่แล้ว อาทิ โว้ก บาร์ (Vogue Bar) ซึ่งจะเข้ามาเปิดสาขาแรกในเอเชียบนชั้น 7 ของคิวบ์ภายในสิ้นปีหน้า พร้อม ๆ กับร้านดีน แอนด์ เดลูก้า สาขาใหญ่ (Dean & DeLuca Flagship) ซึ่งจะตั้งอยู่ที่ชั้น 1 เต็มคอนเซ็ปต์ทั้งฟู้ดฮอลและร้านคาเฟ่ คอนเซ็ปต์เดียวกับนิวยอร์ก นอกจากนี้ยังมีร้านอาหารลัตเตอลิเย่ เดอ โจเอล โรบูชง (L"Atelier de Joel Robuchon) แห่งแรกในไทยของเชฟโจเอล โรบูชง ที่ได้รับมิชลิน สตาร์ 28 ดวง

"เราจะมีร้านค้าไม่เยอะ แต่ทุกร้านที่เข้ามาเปิดจะต้องพิเศษ ทำให้พื้นที่ของแต่ละร้านค้าที่เปิดจะมีขนาดใหญ่และมาแบบเต็มคอนเซ็ปต์ ตอนนี้ที่กำลังติดต่อเอาเข้ามา คือ มาร์ค จาคอบ ซึ่งเป็นรูปแบบของร้านหนังสือ ทั้งหมดที่จะมาเปิดล้วนแต่ตอบสนองความต้องการของกลุ่มทาร์เก็ตได้เป็นอย่างดี"

ด้วยทำเลที่ตั้งอยู่ในย่านธุรกิจที่เต็มไปด้วยสำนักงานระดับแนวหน้า ซึ่งกว่า 100,000 คน เป็นพนักงานบริษัทที่มีเงินเดือนสูง ทำงานอยู่ภายในระยะทางที่สามารถเดินเชื่อมกันมาได้สะดวก การตอบรับในเทรนด์ของร้านไลฟ์สไตล์ดังกล่าวมีมากขึ้นต่อเนื่อง เห็นได้จากกระแสของลูกค้าที่เข้ามาใช้บริการคาเฟ่ "ดีน แอนด์ เดลูก้า" ที่แม้ว่าจะเปิดเป็นร้านชั่วคราว แต่ก็มีลูกค้าเฉลี่ยวันละ 1,000-2,000 คน ทำให้ใน

ปีหน้าบริษัทจะขยายดีน แอนด์ เดลูก้า ไปยังพื้นที่อื่น ๆ มากขึ้น จากปัจจุบันเปิดแล้ว 3 สาขาโครงการมหานคร, ปาร์คเวนเจอร์ เพลินจิต และโรงแรมดับเบิ้ลยู สาทร

อาร์มานี่ คาเฟ่ ปักธง "เอ็ม 2"

ผู้สื่อข่าวรายงานว่า "ร้านอาร์มานี่ คาเฟ่" เตรียมที่จะเข้ามาเปิดสาขาแรกในเมืองไทยร่วมกับโครงการ "เอ็มควอเทียร์" หรือเอ็มโพเรียม 2 โดยนางสาวศุภลักษณ์ อัมพุช รองประธานกรรมการบริหารอาวุโส บริษัท เดอะมอลล์ กรุ๊ป จำกัด กล่าวว่า ตอนนี้การดึงแบรนด์สินค้าและลักเซอรี่ต่าง ๆ มาลง เป็นไปตามเป้าหมาย ทุกแบรนด์ที่อยากได้มาเปิดก็ได้หมด เช่นเดียวกับอาร์มานี่ คาเฟ่ เนื่องจากความมั่นใจของแบรนด์สินค้าที่ต้องการเข้ามาทำธุรกิจในเมืองไทย

ประกอบกับทำเลตรงนี้เป็นใจกลางสุขุมวิท ซึ่งเอ็มโพเรียมขยายกลุ่มตลาดไปถึงฝั่งตะวันออกยาวไปถึงสุวรรณภูมิ ซึ่งเป็นเมืองใหม่ที่ขยายและมีกำลังซื้อสูง ซึ่งเทรนด์ร้านค้าไลฟ์สไตล์ในลักษณะนี้กำลังมาแรงและสอดคล้องกับไลฟ์สไตล์คนรุ่นใหม่ นอกจากนี้ในพารากอนก็จะมีแบรนด์ใหม่ ๆ เข้ามาเพิ่ม ทำให้กลายเป็นความครบทั้งลักเซอรี่ ฟาสต์แฟชั่น คิดส์ซาเนีย รวมถึงโลสลอยด์ ที่มาเปิดบูติคแห่งแรกของโลกที่พารากอน

ก่อนหน้านี้นายบุญเกียรติ โชควัฒนา กรรมการผู้อำนวยการ บริษัท ไอ.ซี.ซี.อินเตอร์เนชั่นแนล จำกัด (มหาชน) กล่าวว่า แอลมีแผนเปิดร้าน "แอล คาเฟ่" ในไทย ซึ่งมีการเปิดสาขาในต่างประเทศและได้รับการตอบรับอย่างดี แต่ยังไม่สามารถระบุเวลาที่แน่ชัด ขึ้นอยู่กับสภาพตลาดและความพร้อมในหลาย ๆ ด้าน

"ไวน์คอนเนคชั่น" โตพรวด

ไม่เพียงบรรดาแบรนด์ดังระดับโลกที่เข้ามาเปิดร้านคอนเซ็ปต์ใหม่ ๆ เท่านั้น ร้านอาหารที่รับกับไลฟ์สไตล์ผู้บริโภคที่นิยมออกมาสังสรรค์นอกบ้านกันมากขึ้น ทำให้ร้านอาหารแนว bar & bistro บาร์ที่ควบคู่ไปกับอาหาร เกิดขึ้นอย่างมากมาย

แหล่งข่าวจากบริษัทไวน์คอนเนคชั่น ผู้นำเข้าและจำหน่ายไวน์จากต่างประเทศ ในรูปแบบร้านขายไวน์ และไวน์แอนด์เรสเตอรองต์ เปิดเผย "ประชาชาติธุรกิจ" ว่า พฤติกรรมของคนไทยในปัจจุบัน หันมาหาที่แฮงเอาต์เก๋ ๆ ที่ไม่ได้เน้นทานอาหารเพียงอย่างเดียว แต่เน้นสัมผัสประสบการณ์ที่ดี ในด้านต่าง ๆ ทั้งบรรยากาศ อาหาร

"ที่เห็นได้ชัดคือ คนไทยหันมานิยมดื่มไวน์มากขึ้นในช่วง 1-2 ปีที่ผ่านมา ในปีนี้เราจึงขยายสาขาร้านในรูปแบบไวน์แอนด์เรสเตอรองต์ไปยังคอมมิวนินี้มอลล์ต่าง ๆ ในกรุงเทพฯและแหล่งท่องเที่ยว รวม 10 กว่าสาขา"

ปีนี้จึงเป็นปีที่ธุรกิจเติบโตมาก จากการขยายสาขา ที่รองรับกับไลฟ์สไตล์การดื่มไวน์ของคนไทยและกำลังซื้อที่มีเพิ่มมากขึ้น โดยคอนเซ็ปต์ของร้านไวน์คอนเนคชั่นจะวางโพซิชันนิ่งในระดับกลาง ๆ ขายไวน์ พร้อมอาหารฝรั่ง ราคาต่อหัวเฉลี่ย 500 บาทขึ้นไป (ราคาสูงต่ำขึ้นกับชนิดของไวน์) และราคาไวน์ต่อขวดที่ลูกค้านิยมสั่งทานกับอาหารจะอยู่ที่ 700-1,000 บาทต่อขวด

ปัจจุบันไวน์คอนเนคชั่นกลายเป็นแหล่งแฮงเอาต์ที่สำคัญ โดยปีหน้ามีแผนขยายสาขาเพิ่มไปยังชานเมืองและต่างจังหวัด รวมถึงห้างสรรพสินค้าที่จะเปิดกับเครือเซ็นทรัล ทั้งรูปแบบร้านขายไวน์ และไวน์แอนด์เรสเตอรองต์ที่จะเปิดเช่นกัน

คอฟฟี่บีนส์แอนด์ทีลีฟบุกไทย

ล่าสุดแบรนด์ร้านกาแฟดังจากสหรัฐอเมริกา "คอฟฟี่บีนส์แอนด์ทีลีฟ" เข้ามารุกทำตลาดในประเทศไทย โดยมีบริษัท ฟิโก้ คอฟฟี่ จำกัด ในกลุ่มฟิโก (Fico) ซึ่งเป็นเจ้าของร้านอาหารแนวไลฟ์สไตล์ชื่อดังในกรุงเทพฯ อาทิ Mr.Jone"s Orphanage Milk Bar และ Clouds เป็นมาสเตอร์แฟรนไชส์

นายบ๊อบ คอฟแมน รองประธานฝ่ายพัฒนาธุรกิจ บริษัท อินเตอร์เนชั่นแนล คอฟฟี่ แอนด์ ที จำกัด กล่าวว่า บริษัทจะเน้นเรื่องคุณภาพของวัตถุดิบ เพื่อนำเสนอเครื่องดื่มที่พรีเมี่ยม รวมกับบรรยากาศของร้านที่ให้ความรู้สึกและผ่อนคลาย

"เราต้องการให้ร้านเป็นจุดนัดพบ พูดคุย เน้นสร้างประสบการณ์ใหม่ให้ลูกค้า โดยกลุ่มลูกค้าของเรา จะเป็นกลุ่มคนรักกาแฟและชา ส่วนใหญ่เป็นกลุ่มที่อาศัยในเมืองและหัวเมืองใหญ่"

ก่อนหน้านี้ยังมีแบรนด์ "ทีดับบลิวจี" (TWG Tea) จากสิงคโปร์ ซึ่งเป็นร้านชาหรูแนวซาลอนแอนด์บูติค ที่เครืออิตัลไทย กรุ๊ปนำเข้ามาเปิดสาขาไปก่อนหน้านี้ เพื่อตอบโจทย์ร้านชาแนวหรูที่ได้รับความนิยมเพิ่มมากขึ้น

ที่น่าสนใจก็คือ กลุ่มบนไปเลยที่เรียกว่ากลุ่ม "ซูเปอร์ลักเซอรี่" แม้จะเป็นนิชมาร์เก็ต แต่ก็เป็นที่สนใจของผู้นำเข้าหลายราย เพราะตลาดยังมีโอกาส สอดคล้องกับสิ่งที่ผู้บริหารจากฝั่งเซ็นทรัล รีเทล คอร์ปอเรชั่น "ทศ จิราธิวัฒน์" และ "ศุภลักษณ์ อัมพุช" กล่าวเอาไว้ก่อนหน้านี้ว่า ธุรกิจค้าปลีกในไทยมีการเติบโตอย่างต่อเนื่องและมากขึ้น โดยเฉพาะกลุ่มสินค้าลักเซอรี่แฟชั่นและสินค้าไลฟ์สไตล์ เนื่องจากการขยายตัวของกลุ่มคนรุ่นใหม่ กลุ่มชนชั้นกลางที่มีกำลังซื้อจำนวนมาก และมีแนวโน้มเพิ่มขึ้น ตลอดจนการขยายตัวของเศรษฐกิจในประเทศ ขณะที่นิตยสารแฟชั่นเองก็ยอมรับว่า ปีหน้าสินค้าซูเปอร์ลักเซอรี่จะเข้ามาเปิดตลาด รวมถึงช่วงชิงพื้นที่ในการโฆษณามากขึ้นด้วย

ก่อนหน้านี้ข้อมูลจาก "ยูโรมอนิเตอร์ อินเตอร์เนชั่นแนล" ได้พยากรณ์การเติบโตกลุ่มสินค้าลักเซอรี่นับจากนี้ว่า จะเติบโตเป็นตัวเลข 2 หลัก โดยกลุ่มแบรนด์เครื่องแต่งกายจากดีไซเนอร์คาดว่าจะเติบโต 20% กลุ่มแอ็กเซสซอรี่ที่เป็นลักเซอรี่เติบโต 35% แม้ว่าที่ผ่านมาทั่ว โลกจะมีประเด็นใหญ่เกิดขึ้น หลังจากบรรดาแบรนด์หรูพากันขยับราคาขึ้นแทบยกแผง โดยบางแบรนด์อย่าง "พราด้า" เตรียมจะขยับขึ้นราคา 10% ในทวีปยุโรป เพื่อให้ราคาขยับไปใกล้เคียงกับที่วางขายในจีน ซึ่งอยู่ในระดับสูงเพราะต้องบวกภาษีต่างๆ ส่วนยักษ์ใหญ่อย่าง "หลุยส์ วิตตอง" ก็ขยับราคาตามที่บริษัท LVMH ประกาศขึ้น 1-8% พร้อมกันทั่วโลก ซึ่งในไทยได้มีการปรับราคาแล้วในหลักร้อยถึงหลักพัน แล้วแต่ประเภทของสินค้า ด้านโลเอเว่, เอมิลิโอ ปุชชี่ และซีลีน ที่อยู่ในเครือ LVMH ก็ไม่น้อยหน้า ปรับขึ้นเฉลี่ยเพิ่มราคาต่อหน่วย 5,000 บาท ถึงแม้จะปรับราคาขึ้น แต่ยอดขายของสินค้าเหล่านี้กลับไม่ลดลง จากความต้องการสินค้าหรูที่ยังเพิ่มขึ้นต่อเนื่อง เฉพาะอย่างยิ่งสาวกแบรนด์เนมชาวไทยก็ดูเหมือนจะไม่ "สะเทือน" กระเป๋าแต่อย่างใด

"สุวดี" แห่งพีพีกรุ๊ป มองว่า ที่ผ่านมาเมื่อปรับราคาขึ้นแล้วไม่มีผล ลูกค้ามีความเข้าใจ และเราก็พยายามควบคุมราคาให้ใกล้เคียงกับประเทศในแถบเอเชียมากที่สุด อีกทั้งยังหันมาเน้นเรื่องการบริการ อบรมพนักงานให้เข้มข้นขึ้น กำลังซื้อบนยอดพีระมิดจึงกลายเป็นขุมทรัพย์ที่ผู้นำเข้าแบรนด์เนมอยากกระโจนเข้าใส่ เพราะแม้จะมีปัจจัยอื่นๆ เข้ามาแต่คนกลุ่มนี้ก็ไม่สะเทือน ตอก ย้ำให้เห็นว่า กำลังซื้อระดับบนยังมีอยู่มหาศาล สะท้อนโอกาสการเติบโตของสินค้าหรูที่ปี 2556 และปี 2557 จะเป็นปีทองของลักเซอรี่และซูเปอร์ลักเซอรี่ ก็คงเหมือนกับสิ่งที่ Jean-Jacques Guiony ผู้อำนวยการฝ่ายการเงินของกลุ่มบริษัท LVMH ทั่วโลก ที่กล่าวด้วยความมั่นใจหลังการปรับราคาขึ้นว่า

Just visited today

A new luxury boutique is coming in Siam Paragon. The room next to Mulberry is ready to launch soon(not before new year). I guess it's Miu Miu, but I am still waiting something new, fresh, and surprised.

For me I think Siam paragon Top noch in term of multi hight end brands,
but when I ve walked through around there, I felt it's too mass, may be just because the location (BTS interchange)

นางสาวณัฐธีรา บุญศรี ผู้ช่วยกรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ ฝ่ายบริหารสินค้า บริษัท สรรพสินค้าเซ็นทรัล จำกัด กล่าวว่า ภาพรวมของตลาดแฟชั่นยังคงเติบโตอย่างต่อเนื่อง จากเศรษฐกิจในประเทศที่ดีขึ้น และจำนวนนักท่องเที่ยวที่เดินทางเข้ามามากขึ้น เนื่องจากปีนี้ไม่มีปัญหาการเมือง น้ำท่วม ทำให้การบริโภคแฟชั่นเติบโตโดยเฉพาะกลุ่มแอ็กเซสเซอรี่ กระเป๋า รองเท้า ปีหน้าทางบริษัทยังได้เตรียมนำเข้าแบรนด์ใหม่เพื่อทำตลาดอีก 6 แบรนด์ 5 แบรนด์คือเสื้อผ้าสำเร็จรูป (เรดี้ทูแวร์) อีก 1 แบรนด์คือ รองเท้า ซึ่งเป็นสินค้าในระดับบริดจ์แบรนด์ไปจนถึงลักเซอรี่ เน้นสินค้าหรูแต่ราคาจับต้องได้ เฉลี่ยราคาเสื้อจะอยู่ที่ 8,000-10,000 บาทต่อตัว

"ปัจจุบันเรามีแบรนด์แฟชั่นกว่า 70 แบรนด์ ครึ่งหนึ่งเป็นระดับบริดจ์ทูไฮ (ลักเซอรี่ระดับกลางถึงไฮเอนด์) กลุ่มเป้าหมายจะค่อนข้างมีฐานะ ดังนั้นปัญหาเรื่องนโยบายรถคันแรกคงไม่กระทบส่วนค่าแรงอาจกระทบบ้าง ขณะเดียวกันก็จะมีกลุ่มที่มีจำนวนรายได้มากขึ้นมาบาลานซ์ เพราะฉะนั้นภาพรวมปีหน้าของธุรกิจแฟชั่นจึงเติบโตได้อีก

สอดคล้องกับนายกฤศณัฏฐ์ กิจวิทยศักดิ์ แบรนด์แมเนเจอร์ นาฬิกาชาร์ริโอล์ บริษัท เอเวอร์เรส เวิลด์ จำกัด กล่าวว่า แนวโน้มการเติบโตสินค้าแฟชั่นหรูราคาจับต้องได้ยังคงมีการเติบโตอยู่ ซึ่งสินค้าในบริษัทมีการเติบโตเฉลี่ย 5-20% แม้ความกังวลถึงเรื่องผลกระทบของนโยบายรถคันแรกจะทำใช้คนชะลอการจับจ่ายบ้าง แต่เชื่อว่าสินค้ากลุ่มนี้มีลูกค้ากลุ่มที่มีรายได้สูง และยังมีกลุ่มคนที่แฟชั่นเข้าไปมีบทบาทต่อชีวิตประจำวันคอยติดตามสินค้าใหม่อย่างต่อเนื่อง

ปีหน้าเตรียมนำเข้าแบรนด์ใหม่ให้ความสนใจกับกลุ่มนาฬิกา ราคา 10,000-50,000 บาท รวมถึงกลุ่มเสื้อผ้าระดับลักเซอรี่ที่ใกล้เคียงกับแบรนด์ที่มีอยู่อย่าง ลองฌอมป์และแอคเนอร์ ซึ่งเป็นกลุ่มแอฟฟอร์เดเบิลลักเซอรี่ ราคาตั้งแต่ 5 พันบาทขึ้นไปถึงหลักหมื่น

นายกฤศณัฏฐ์ยังกล่าวอีกว่า ปีนี้ลองฌอมป์ แบรนด์กระเป๋าจากฝรั่งเศสมียอดขายเติบโตขึ้นจากปีที่แล้ว 10% เนื่องจากการเปิดแฟลกชิปสโตร์ที่สยามพารากอน ปีหน้าคาดว่าจะขยายสาขาเพิ่มอีก โดยมองตลาดในกรุงเทพฯก่อน ส่วนต่างจังหวัดเบื้องต้นไปในรูปแบบกิจกรรมโรดโชว์ ซึ่งทำเลที่เหมาะสมน่าจะเป็นที่ภูเก็ต และชลบุรี

"ส่วนแอคเนอร์ แม้ภาพลักษณ์ดูนิ่ง ตัวสินค้าไม่หวือหวาหรือแฟชั่นมากนัก แต่การเปิดบูติคใหม่ที่สยามพารากอนทำให้ปีนี้เติบโต 5-10% ทั้งนี้แนวทางทำตลาดปีหน้าจะมุ่งเข้าหากลุ่มลูกค้ามากขึ้น โดยเน้นกลยุทธ์ซีอาร์เอ็ม โปรโมตสินค้า รวมไปถึงปรับดีไซน์ให้ทันสมัยสอดคล้องกับพฤติกรรมผู้บริโภคปัจจุบันที่ใส่ใจแฟชั่นมากขึ้น จากเดิมที่สินค้ามีภาพลักษณ์เป็นผู้ใหญ่"

ขณะที่นาฬิกาชาร์ริโอล์ ก็เติบโต 10- 20% ในปีนี้โดยเฉพาะช่วงงานวอทช์แฟร์ที่สยามพารากอนและเซ็นทรัลชิดลม มียอดขายในช่วงดังกล่าว 30-40% ของยอดขายทั้งหมด คาดว่าปีหน้าจะขยายบูติคช็อปเป็นครั้งแรกที่สยามพารากอน และจะเพิ่มสัดส่วนสินค้าสำหรับผู้ชายมากขึ้นด้วย

New year sneak peek: fashion

From malls to new soap series, Life surveyed the reality and the rumours about what's going on in 2013

As Oscar Wilde said, "You can never be overdressed or overeducated", and the number of new luxury retail stores to be opened in 2013 prove that Thai people can never have enough apparel choices, whether or not that makes them overdressed.

In terms of retail space, January will mark the reopening of Siam Centre with a new look. It's the fourth renovation of the 38-year-old home to Thai fashion brands and the shopping mall aims to emerge not just as a retail space, but as a centre of ideas and digital lifestyles. New interiors that incorporate high-tech innovation from LED screens showcasing art and artistic collaborations will feature, as will interactive touch screens from where visitors can browse for hot items and new trends to help facilitate their shopping. Apart from familiar Thai brands such as Theatre, Painkiller, Kloset, Soda, Greyhound and Tango, Siam Centre will also welcome new brands that respond to the urban, fast-moving street culture such as Superdry and Love Moschino.

From the street style of Siam Centre in early 2013, we can also expect key changes and relocations all through the year for the luxury sector. As a long-standing home to fashion powerhouses, Gaysorn will undergo renovations which will see the expansion of some major labels. The duplex Louis Vuitton store may be expanded into a giant triplex empire. Burberry will expand, housing the much-loved Burberry Prorsum line as well as Burberry Kids. Of course, we'll be seeing some departures and certainly one of them will be Celine, which will relocate to Emporium in March.

Emporium will welcome a few more additions, and they are sure to get many fashionistas excited enough to turn their eyes back to this shopping mall.

Celine aside, there will be Tory Burch and two of the most desirable footwear brands in the universe - Christian Louboutin and Roger Vivier.

Surely, those exclusive footwear ranges opening stores here must mean luxury business in Thailand is very much on the rise.

Now, what about Siam Paragon? After a year of shape-shifting that culminated in the opening of Louis Vuitton, Siam Paragon continues to reign supreme as the destination for luxury shoppers and in 2013 it will house even more brands. First, there will be a Valentino store, which will stock tantalising accessories and a ready-to-wear line. We'll also have the long-awaited arrival of Miu Miu, Prada's sister line, as well as an expansion of Chanel's boutique. Also, Siam Paragon will welcome the return of Giorgio Armani, which has been absent for a few seasons. Giorgio Armani will take the space currently occupied by Kenzo and Chloe.

So, where will Kenzo and Versace go? There's no need to worry, not in the least, since we're still expecting another big opening at the end of the year - Central Embassy! What we can tell you now is that Kenzo, purchased by Central Department Store, might find a new home at Central Embassy alongside other superbrands distributed by Central such as Gucci and Bottega Veneta and those distributed by CMG such as Ralph Lauren, Versace and its sister line Versus, Agnes B and Furla, for example. Apart from high-end luxury houses, Central Embassy will also delight younger shoppers with niche street brands such as Sandro and Mage.

Central urges cut in luxury fashion taxes

The Central Group of Companies will step up efforts to convince the government to reduce import taxes on luxury fashion products this year.

It wants to raise Thailand's profile as a shopping destination, which some experts say is on par with many of the world's leading retail venues.

"In terms of food, services, hotels and tourist and sport destinations, Hong Kong and Singapore do not have anything better than our country except for lower prices of fashion products," said Chart Chirathivat, managing director of Central Embassy.

High import taxes averaging 30% on fashion and luxury items have resulted in low spending by foreign tourists.

Central believes that a tax reduction would boost sales and tourism, as happened in Malaysia.

A survey of the local retail industry found tourists are interested in luxury tax rates.

Lowering luxury import taxes would be particularly useful in attracting luxury travellers with high spending power, Mr Chart said.

Although the state may loss some tax revenue, it could offset it from other channels including more corporate income tax from retailers and investors such as property developers and foreign businessmen, he said.

Related industries would also benefit from this economic expansion, particularly the hospitality, airline, tourism and food and beverage sectors, and would contribute more tax revenue to the government.

While local fashion brands are expensive, Thai consumers love to buy them abroad, with spending on clothes leaping 20% last year to reach 6.16 billion baht, reported the study.

If import taxes were cut, Mr Chart believes more than half of Thais buying items overseas would turn to Thai malls.

Central Retail Corporation is set to open another luxury shopping venue, Central Embassy, at Phloenchit intersection in Bangkok in December.

As shopping for fashion products and dining are very popular among visitors to shopping centres, the company has set up a subsidiary, Dining Zensation Co, to provide lifestyle food and beverages.

Mr Chart said the company will offer fine dining because Asians attach great importance to food.

Additionally, the company plans to develop a Civilize concept store covering 1,000 square metres on the fifth floor of Central Embassy. It will provide more than 20 Thai designer brands under one roof.

Extensions to the company’s three boutiques in Hong Kong are under way and the close of 2013 will see the company’s third boutique open in Bankgok, its second in Vietnam (Hanoi) and a large flagship open in Jakarta. Last year, Dior opened a 19,410-square-foot flagship in the Taipei 101 development, the company’s biggest boutique in the world — although perhaps not for long.

Christian Dior Couture is pursuing its international retail network with several new openings – the first Dior directly operated flagship store in Brazil in Sao Paulo at the Citade Jardim Mall, due to open February 22; and second Dior mono-brand stores in Jakarta (Indonesia), Bangkok (Thailand) and Hanoi (Vietnam) – all directly operated. By summer, Christian Dior is enlarging and refurbishing its three mono-brand stores in Hong Kong, with Taipei and Macau line up too. The new openings follow the recent flagship store opening in Sydney, the first flagship store in Australia.

Dior will also pursue this year the expansion of its Dior Homme, men’s only stores – the most notable openings in 2012 having been New York, Miami and San Francisco.

I have just got a request from one electrical contractor who is working in a "Giant Shopping Center and Condo-Residential" in Sukhumvit. As per the few information received, It may be a huge new store or partial renovation located at the "The Emporium - Emporium Suites" complex.
