I've been looking at all the new Kuwaiti towers and they're superb, finally something realistic.. a super-ugly building. The name goes well with it. The top part can be a golden canary cage.

Reminds me of the likes of Dubai's Al Amira/Princess tower.

Yep I've heard of the family :) No offense intended.

I dunno who's the fan of these kinds of designs though. They're very alienish. They'd go well with the Kuwait water towers though.

There was once a classic post by Olive_Touch highlighting the alienness of Riyadh.. Kuwait follows not too far away in terms of architecture, but that's changing now.

I think that this tower is great and that the render in this thread does not do it justice. I think that the following render on their billboard is much nicer.

Btw skoulikimou , I know that we discussed this beforehand, but shouldn't we change the name of the thread to Jasem tower because it says so on the billboard ( I think that the project owners know more about their project than the baladiya ;) )

the dome has just made the building the ugliest one among the under construction .. it just doesnt fit with the design

well skouli I did a floor count. I counted 27 floors, excluding the dome :cheers:
I guess when they said 24 floors they did not count mezanine etc.

Nope they didn't mention the tower at all. The caption of that pic just commented on how 'fun' the roads are on holidays (due to them being empty :))

I am surprised that the civil aviation authority allowed this observation tower to be erected on the periphery of the city. I just hope that no airplanes mistake the green belt as a runway.

is this tower called the Asfour tower. I thought this was made for the Kuwait Finance House based on the billboard placed at the site. Anyways this will be a good location with the PIFSS Car Park coming up behind it as also the much awaited Gate of Kuwait..Also news is a 39-40 floor twin tower project through Al-Wafra Real Estate is in the pipeline to come up next to the new PIFSS car park....Look forward to some hectic activity./.. :runaway:

The light colors on the ''dome'' don't fit with the rest of the tower since the tower doesn't have lights, though I will give my final judgment when people move there since I know its empty thats why there is no light coming out from the windows.

never been there although i heard it a moroccan restaurant over there with a rotating platform just like the one in kuwait towers

looks like this tower has a love/hate responses from people :)

i like it, however not keen on the colour of the building.

can any body tell that does it really has the restaurant on the top or not.
