I really believe deconstructionist buildings and some post-modern are worse than these ^^
it just takes to leave out those that would stand out from the context but many of these examples are "rescuable" in my view.

Not entirely.

There are monasteries in Ladakh, India and Tibet that Minas Tirith looks to be styled upon - sitting by a mountain cliff (though not piercing it like Minas Tirith) and with winding roads.

One of my favourite fiction cities is the city ship of Atlantis, it's the size of Manhatan, it can old 2 million people and travel between galaxies. It is pwered by three zero point modules.

I do like Atlantis, but its far smaller than Manhattan: just over 4 km in Diameter.
I doubt 2 mio people would find space there..

Thats still huge though.

The Manhatan quote was taken from the series, in one episode it was said to be the size of manhatan
