I read on Swedish text TV that MGM Mirage wants to build 2 Turning Torso clones in Las Vegas that are 60m taller than the original each! That is 250m tall towers, so they will probably be by far the tallest buildings in Nevada.

First Las Vegas copied New York, then Paris, then Venice and now Malmö!
And I also read that they will travel to Malmö just to study the original! :eek2:

The MGM sure can stand some cheering up and cherrying out ... it's just a huge green box atm, quite handsome really because of the rich emerald green of the facade, but totally boxy & boring. :D

not even close to the tallest. the tallest building in las vegas is the stratosphere tower, which is 350 m (1149 ft) tall. it is the tallest building west of the mississippi river in the united states.

such towers dont count. just like the tv towers in baltics are not the tallest buildings in SB but structures!

I know about Stratosphere Tower, but it is a tower, not a building.

I don't understand why it must be in the skybar, since it has to do with skyscrapers. Isn't the skybar supposed to be a section with all threads that are not about architecture and skyscrapers?

Lol, kudos to Malmø, that's pretty cool... But I don't get the idea of it, they can't come up with something for themselves, so they copy something and make it a tad bigger :bash: Maybe I'm the only who sees the stupidity in this?

Yes, it is a bit sad that people might come to Las Vegas and think of how cool the buildings withou knowing where the original is. I wish they would come to Malmö instead. We have a casino too! :D

I can just imagin driving through the desert in Nevada and see a Malmö's tallest building.
It must feel so unreal. I wonder what the name will be: Malmo-Malmo Casino Resort :D

Btw, Ivana will be taller, but it hasn't started construction yet.
