People had purcahsed apartments in the Residences at launch direct for Emaar at about AED 1000/S.ft. What do you suppose the value is now (not talking about 2nd's market with premium n all). I am just referring to the value appreciation since it was announced.

Not impressed, look like tower blocks from the sixties, they recycling the design, yeah i know we should be enviromentally friendly but this is going a bit too far.

I think in future if the tower structure is not unique, then the apprecation will be smaller as in this case you'll have 6 towers to chose from.

i think it will be the most overvalued block in dubai,

i have to agree, even given the size of the site over all its going to be below average unless theres is a major over haul in each tower relased after these.

i have to agree with face bout the common podium thing but u know the design isnt that bad (6.5/10)...ok so its not the best but as face pointed out emaar is prolly biulding these types cuz they want ppl to focus on the BD and oly on the BD and not the surrounding buildings when pics of downtown dubai r taken.

^^ I think it's getting to the stage where there's too much similarity. It's as if all the other towers are worshipping the burj. It would be better to have some more interesting towers around so that not ALL the attention is focused on it.

I remember SA Boy saying something about Gehry doing a tall one for the burj dubai complex.

I like them and the Residences. All are equal, but stylish (for me:)). The view from the top of one of the South Ridge towers will be incredible: low rise (old town and old town island), the lake, and then the Burj dwarfing all the little buildings in front of it.

the waterlevel is going to be higher. just like in the marina. else....why did they dug a hole that deep if there was going to be so little water?

thats buiness bay water canal. they probs havent let the water in yet. you can tell by the logo on the bricks

Last i heard was August 2007 - so - now!

I have heard the new date is Dec 2007-Jan 2008

They look just as bad as the initial renders.... maybe worse. These things are hideous.

They look great.. very emaar (in a good way)

Just as well they are hidden at the back of the Burj... They look like they belong in Sharjah or some other third World country. Yuck.

Yep, all towers are numbered, entrance halls furnished and security gates manned, but I hear handover still another two months.

I was going to purchase a two bedroom in South Ridge and I was told by the real estate agent that the service fees with chiller is around 25 Dirhams per sqare feet.

Those who have taken possession of flats - can they advise as to what are the other payments to be made at the time of taking possession and whether you have to register with land department before taking possession of the flat.
