I'll be covering in this thread a second residential district of Tokyo called
Edogawa-ku. It is located about 9 kms from the heart of the city and is a
25-40 mins ride from the main business and entertainment districts. From
what I have gathered, the rent in Edogawa-ku is average for the Tokyo
ward area (about 80000 yens/month for a 30m2 flat) and the neighbourhood
hosts primarily middle-class families. For those visiting this thread with a
North-American or Korean background, Edogawa-ku is to Tokyo a bit what
Brooklyn is to New-York or what Gwanak-gu is to Seoul.
