Lots of construction workers on the roof!, and they only have 2 more rooms before they are done topping off the 5th floor!

At least they are working on it.

^^^ Im with you there Street. I really want Met 3 to start, just to know that it will actually be built. I wont believe it until they start on it. Roark any word on sales there? It was posted on another thread that sales were not going well.

I think the claim about the sales was unsubstantiated. I added that according to a Pittsburgh Post-Gazette article, dated March 2005, reported that the project was one-third sold at that time. And the context of the article being that a Whole Foods on the ground floor was a virtual guarantor of success, as witnessed in other similar projects.

Still, we need to get Chuck on the case.

I take it Met 1 has some lofts? It seems to be going up rather slowly. There really needs to be an 866 foot building in the background there...nice lady?

Met 1 is just super fast right now, these guys are putting colums, pouring, putting the lumber all in the same day!. ALLREADY FINSHED THE 6TH FLOOR ON THE BACK OF THE BUILDING!. Kudos to the construction crew, met 1 will be done in no time at this rate.

after they pass the 7th floor they should speed up considerably,since the floor heights are quite smaller after 7th floor

When will Met Square begin?

6th floor allready taking shape!. Just 2 more rooms left to put up the colums and then the concrete will start getting poured!.

As you can see all the way in the back-right side of the building they are pouring in the concrete which means 6th floor will most likely be completed in 1-2 days.
Remember what hatter says, after the 7th floor Met 1 will be speed trough to the top.

Nothing changed, I have the feeling yesterday was the last day for construction. I guess the construction workers have the rest of the week off.

It is Christmas man :). Merry Christmas to everyone by the way. Oh and there is a worker with a cement truck on the corner of the building there.

On a related note, Met 2 will go before the Planning Board seeking to modify its MUSP to the new Office/Hotel configuration on Jan. 4th.

Lol great surprise, no progress what so ever. Atleast they will be getting to work now, I want to see Met 1 finsh these last 2 floors for it can speed on to the top when it gets to the small floors.

Wow all the updates thus far are fantastic. It's been a little while though, has there been any progress since? I live in GA right now so I can't just stop by and see how things are coming...these pics help a lot. Anyone got anything on the Met1 tower? I'm moving into the top loft so it's really exciting to see it take shape...

How much is a top loft in the Met1 anyways? Do you know the prices in the Met buildings?

It is actually the second from the top. The top is the lanai floor. I did not want to be on the pool level. Bought it in the 400's and already up. The lofts sold fast, but I got in at ground level

Thanks so much for the pics and updates. I haven't seen it since December when it was nearly flat. But I'll be by this weekend to see it with my own eyes :cheer:

This is what I like to see. When do you all think completion will be, granted we don't have a hurricane season that postpones anything??? They say next June, which is exactly 1 year from now. Also, I begged the construction manager to take me up to my loft and he agreed to it in two weeks when the framing is more complete. I will take pictures and post them for you all when I go up there. Go cranes. By the way, Neo Vertika is terribly designed.

Well guys, I just got the letter and materials to choose my finishes in my unit. I have until th 23rd. I'm psyched. :)

I had to pick my cabinets and countertops at 900 in April. I am just as excited as you!!! I had almost bought at Met 1, but they had sold out of the unit I liked. I think you are going to love it there!!!

What kind of Unit did you purchase? Also if you don't mind how much did you guys pay? I bought one recently at 50 Biscayne I can hardly wait for it to be complete!

channel side- I bought a 2/2 loft at ground level. I paid 390k and have added another 20k of alterations (ie. jacuzzi tubs, double sinks upstairs and down, etc. ). I have been told that my unit would now sell at almost double (well...in the 700's).

rider- Yes, I live in Sunny Isles Beach
