In my opinion it just makes the development sound second hand/fake/unoriginal and distance itself from being South African. To the tourist there's nothing exotic to it. Now think 'Zimbali', 'Melkbosbaai' or any other SA name...doesn't it just sound more magical and exotic? So many of them are so scared to go beyond the proven formula of creating little Mediterranean utopias.. But like you Dysan, I also like the fact that it's on a marina and all sorts.
