What do you guys think of naming all these new developments after existing, well known places and/or latin names? In my opinion it just makes the development sound second hand/fake/unoriginal and distance itself from being South African. To the tourist there's nothing exotic to it. Now think 'Zimbali', 'Melkbosbaai' or any other SA name...doesn't it just sound more magical and exotic?

How many more St Tropez's, Mykonos and the like will they make us put up with! I agree with Harkerb...sa developers need to think local, or even just think a bit more about the names of their projects...

But this dev could be quite nice in the middle of that marina...

So many of them are so scared to go beyond the proven formula of creating little Mediterranean utopias.. But like you Dysan, I also like the fact that it's on a marina and all sorts.
