For the people that enjoyed the movie "Syriana" i certainly did. Here is an interview with the ex CIA agent whom the movie was based on:

Mobile, Ala.: What does "Syriana" actually mean? Is it a place, real or fictional?

Robert Baer: It's a fictional place, a term used inside the Beltway, to describe redrawing the borders in the Middle East to suit our interests. It's a made-up name. :eek2: For example, Iraq is very much an artificial country and that is one reason we're having so many problems there because the Iraqis are not a people with a common identity.

Iraq was made up by the British from three Ottoman provinces after WWI but history tells us the British were unable to unify the Iraqis. :bash:

haven't seen the film, but read some reviews on it. seems like a typical stereotype of arabs.

its showing in the US right now, i dont know about europe. And it does not really focus on arabs that much its more of mixture of events that will connect some how at the end. ofcourse its based on oil and arabs happen to have more than 70% of it so it has to focus on them. if you want the right discription, i would say its dirty oil business thriller.
