Something new aboard your bus
In 2006, the STM will gradually replace the fare box in each bus with a new generation of equipment. Indeed, the type of fare box still being used - after almost 100 years of loyal service - no longer meets today's requirements in terms of security and efficiency.
With these new fare boxes, the STM will lessen revenue shortfalls resulting from insufficient payments, fraud and theft.
If you pay your fare with a ticket or with cash, these changes concern you.
