I just went to a holiday party last weekend in the house with the "B" scupture in front (in the garden tour photo toward the bottom). There's some sort of space/time portal because it's ginormous inside. You just keep walking through room after room and you never get to the back of the house and then you're four years old and can read minds. Then suddenly you're back in the living room holding a martini. It's weird.

I know the guy that lives in the house in frame 34. It's awesome, he gave me a tour one time. In the back, he has an old stable house with a revolving floor so that you could turn your carriage around after you brought it in and unhitched the horses. His attic was almost big enough to play hoops. When he renovated it, he found a few things like frieplaces that had been walled off. He restored the whole place. I think he paid 140 k for it originally. Here in San Francisco, that is a 2.5 million dollar house.

Are you talking about this house?

That is stunning. Is it a single family though? It looks like it's been transformed into a duplex?

That is it- it is single family. Isn't that crazy? I'd move back for a place like that.

Actually, now that I think of it- you are right, there was a small separate apartment there too. There was a little old lady that lived in it. When he bought the house, he agreed to let her stay there for as long as she wanted. She was very old, so it probably wasn't going to be a long time. He said he actually liked having her there because she made no trouble, helped pay the mortgage and and kept an eye on the place when he and his wife were away. I think he planned to not rent it out once she wasn't there anymore. He was going to just incorporate it into the place.

Damn though, that is like, the perfect house.
