I got a friggin numb body after being out today.. I was primarily doin some last minute Christmas shopping, so thought I may as well use my only day off to explore whats happening in the lil town with big ambitions, lol.. I took loads of pics but due to me being cold, the weather being drizzly and dire and me being in a rush, they're all shit... But here's whats worthy of a picture post.. Enjoy :)

Modus - Grand Arcade Shopping Centre (Under Construction).

In a perfect world, I would own this land and property, and give it a kick ass renovation, surely someone must do soon, its going to be surrounded by developments and new builds, it is crying out for usage!!)

Trencherfield Mill, the main mill to be redeveloped as part of the newly established Heritage Quarter

On the outskirts of the heritage redevelopment is this, Vulcanite.. Its terracota facade is fowl, but its a hell of a lot better than the dirty building there before it..

Our new Police HQ (The old HQ site is set for a 'large mixed used development)

Finally, A blurred picture of the JJB from afar. Wigan, home to BOTH Super League and Premiership Football!!

Didn't take any pictures of the town centre itself, cos it was too crowded and frankly too many Chavs eyein up my already fallin apart camera.. So this is just the outskirts of town, the soon to be 'Heritage Quarter' and other misc..

I like this building especially, it is too good a building to be left empty.

It really isn't a building anymore, mainly just the wall.. Here is a poor quality pic of the back.

Thing is this back view faces the main dual carraigeway that leads through wigan, so a terrible eye sore to the town.. Basically I would LOVE to build some glass building into this, so that the streetscape above is remained intact, whilst the carraigeway got views of a modern structure that would blend in with the sight of the new grand arcade, the two proposed residential towers and the rumoured redevelopment of Wigan international swimming pool..
