They enclosed it for a surprise development that will happen this year. A multi tower soon to rise courtesy of Alveo. hehehehe

Na share na bai.. mao na sya..This will be the site of the Three tower Alveo Cebu.. which will be patterned similar to the Two Serendra project in Fort Boni, Taguig.

The first tower which is reputed to be one of a kind among current Alveo projects nationwide will be launched by September...

Avida will be in August..

and Ayala Premier will be by December..

^^pwede raman i ipon bai pero mag libog na ko:lol: Another thing sad, Lapu Lapu is too far from Cebu City unlike Mandaue nga sumpay ra so usa ra gyud ang skyline.

Cebu has 2 distinct skylines gyud nga dili masumpay in a normal angle labi na from the sea angle, "Mactan Skyline" and "Cebu Mandaue skyline". Although maapil ra gihapon gamay kung tua ka's bukid pero layo gihapon ang distance...:yes:
Ang total sa duha, i-add nga mahimong total sa Cebu... :okay:

Daghan pa kaayog naas drawing board nga wapa na reveal... ingun tag more than 10 pa before the year ends...:cheers:

yep, 84 is a very much shaky number. its far from final. more surprises pa sa among wa kahibalo anang mga projects na nasa drawing board. :lol:

i wonder if there is such an angle to get one continuous pano from cebu south to mandaue? i think that could only be achieved with a flying platform.

ang Emporis kay wala na gyuy update. 24 ra kabu-ok gihapon sa ilang list ang high rises sa Cebu. SSC Manila already have their own list. I hope makuha nato ang height sa kada usa ka high rise diri sa Cebu para ma kompleto atong list. Kay wala gyuy bisag usa nga nag himog list of high rises diri sa Cebu, murag kita ra'y gi huwat. :ohno:

And about sa list sa u/c, it's only my interest also about high-rises.
It's my only way to take note of Cebu's high rise under constructions. Others also have their own ways of compiling our u/c high rises. :yes:

btw, Summit Circle IMo is only 9 floors...:yes:

^^ahahaha, actually overdue na gani kaayo ni kay mga 2009 pa to gi hatag ni @Resty ang list if high rises sa Cebu through excel. Pa pun-an para naa ta'y complete list of high rises sa Cebu.:yes:

one of them are www.emporis.com ... naa gyud unta'y representative nga local nga gi assign sa emporis nga mo update sa kada city around the world, unfortunately, wala na nag update ang sa Cebu. Ang SSC Manila, yup naa sila'y own list nila, dunno lang kung asa nila gibutang, murag naa to sa ilang site.:yes:

Para nako, kinahanglan nasad og list ang Cebu... IMO, may karapatan or may K na din ang Cebu for high-rise compilations.:okay:

CEBU CITY, Cebu, Philippines – In a move to strengthen its visibility in the Visayas, the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) announced it will be opening a marketing office in Cebu this September, its first outside Metro Manila, to increase local participation in the country’s stock market.

“We hope to raise the awareness of companies outside Metro Manila to enlist themselves in the PSE and more so for the investing public to participate in the stock market,” said Kathleen Therese Buenaobra of the PSE Marketing Education Department.

“Cebu is an important market for the PSE and we want to get as much involvement from companies here. Cebu’s business community is home to some of the most successfully run businesses in the country,” Buenaobra told Cebu reporters during a recently concluded PSE Familiarization Tour.

PSE has 249 listed companies; top Cebuano companies listed in the country’s stock exchange are Aboitiz Power, Aboitiz Equity Ventures, Cebu Holdings Inc., Cebu Property Ventures Development Corp., and Waterfront Philippine Inc.

The PSE office here will be located at the Cebu Business Center in the Cebu Business Park. Unlike the PSE offices in Ortigas and Makati, the Cebu branch will only conduct profiling, investor campaign and education.

Even as the office here will not be a trading facility, Buenaobra said it will house brokers who will help educate potential investors on the benefits of trading in the country’s stock market. “The facility will be retail-investor-friendly,” she assured.

Buenaobra noted that the growth potential of the country’s trading market is still high, but sadly, only a few companies take advantage of the stock market as a main source to increase capitalization.

In previous PSE roadshows held in Cebu, the PSE urged companies here to examine properly the benefits they can get from entering into Initial Public Offerings (IPOs), rather than holding on to the impression that doing so requires a lot of requirements.

Buenaobra estimated only 600,000 investor accounts, which is only 0.05 percent of the country’s 90 million population.

To attract potential foreign investors, PSE also bared the extension of trading hours starting October. The move is meant to increase trading volumes and match the hours of other Southeast Asian exchanges it will be linked to next year.

On Oct. 1, trading will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. instead of the current schedule of 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon. On Jan. 1, 2012, trading will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon and then from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

CEBU, Philippines - Despite threats of massive protests, Talisay City administrator Richel Bacaltos said the government will close the Tabunok Public Market on Aug. 28.

"It's going to push through. By Aug. 23, we'll be sending dump trucks to help the vendors transfer their goods to the new market in Lagtang.

On Aug. 28, as agreed, the city will close the Tabunok Public Market," said Bacaltos in an interview.

Bacaltos said this will be implemented despite possible rallies and any forms of protest actions that some vendors are cooking up just to foil the government's plan.

The vendors had earlier warned that they will not leave their stalls at Tabunok Public Market just like what their counterparts in Minglanilla town did when the municipal government there urged them to leave the old market building.

Tabunok stallholders also warned they would not leave their stalls even if the government would close the old market, the same tactics that the Minglanilla vendors used then that led to the alleged termination of the planned transfer.

But if the officials of Minglanilla was easily swayed, Bacaltos said Talisay will stick with its plan.

"We've already won in the case. Wala nay rason pa nga i-cancel napud nato ang transfer," he said.

Bacaltos said that by Aug. 28, the entire Tabunok Public Market will be fenced, power and water supplies will also be cut.

"Unsa man pud ilang mabuhat sa sud (Tabunok Public Market) nga gawas sa koralon ni, putlan napud ni’g kuryente ug tubig?" he said.

He said there are still old vendors who refuse to join in the raffle for the stalls at the Lagtang Public Market, hence, their supposed slots were given to new applicants. These vendors have forfeited their chance to do business at the facility, he said. - THE FREEMAN

Samot kasamok ang South area kung madayon nag tukod ang Ayala sa Talisay.
Kung i kompara nako ang north Metro Cebu (Consolacion -> Lilo-an -> Compostela ->Danao) og ang south Metro Cebu (Talisay -> Minglanilla -> Naga -> Carcar), mas urban pa ang south kay 4 lanes pero traffic gihapon compara sa 2 lanes Lilo-an to Danao, ok ok ra ang traffic... plus there are more subdivisions in the south than in the north. Ang sa south from Talisay to Naga, wala na kaayo kay makita nga pat ak pat ak nga forest area along the high way kay puro na mga balay og establishments nga ning kalit rag turok unlike sa Consolacion to Danao nga daghan pa kaayog forest area along the road. Ang luoy kay ang mangagi sa N Bacalso ave. ig peak hours labi na daghan kaayong taga south nga mo trabaho sa Cebu City.

North Cebu City is commercial district, South Cebu City is residential. Big contras gyud. Mas daghag namuyo sa South Cebu City than in the North Cebu City nga almost all residents kay mga dato coz they want to be within the commercial districts. South district or Cebu City south is residential - reason nga way dagkong establishments ang gi tukod sa south district. Maynalang ppud kay kung naa, samot ka traffic. Not livable in a sense...

but again, we're talking about south Metro and north Metro, not Cebu City...:yes:

salig ko sa Ayala mohandle sa traffic problem..:D

I don't know kung pila ang lot area sa Tabunok Public Market let's just hope it can provide a big area for a terminal. Maka handle ang Ayala sa traffic no doubt pero sa duol na guro sa area. Pero ang pagpadung pa didto. Kay coming from the Pardo traffic naman gani from Prince Warehouse going to Tabunok. Ambot lang sad kaha if you're coming from SRP or if you're coming from Minglanilla, ok ra cguro...

Aw mahibaw-an ra bitaw ni puhon :)

^^ immediate need gyud sa Talisay City is to widen the RABAYA STREET, that road which connects Tabunok to the South Coastal Road (SRP)...perte'ng gamaya sa da'n..hapit na lang mora'g one lane...pang tricycle ra gyud ni nga road....kuwang gyud sa plano atong LGU sa-unang mga panahon...dili gyud motan-aw sa future sa lungsod

lisod na i.widen ang rabaya st. since it is a long narrow stretch starting from Barangay Tabunok up to Barangay San Roque. if possible gani ang road widening, there would be several houses and establishments that would be displaced. IMO, talisay city is one of the few cities in cebu that has narrow roads and networks. tinood ang gisulti ni @diehardbisdak nga pang one lane jud ang road nga capable ra sa mga tricycle and horse-drawn carriages. I hope masulosyonan ni sa Talisay City LGU's.
