View Full Version : Construction Photos
Pearl of the Gulf December 25th, 2005, 12:42 PM guys i took a few photos of random towers under construction in the seef area, I not sure if any threads were started or whether I should create new ones. I don’t have much information about these small projects or think they will get a lot of interest so I placed them here and we can add more photos.

Pearl of the Gulf December 25th, 2005, 06:36 PM ^^ nice touch
Skyline-BRN December 25th, 2005, 07:47 PM Nice pics...I just wish there would be better planning and higher buildings in the seef area!
B-Patriot December 26th, 2005, 01:16 AM The first picture has a thread...Its the one that the owner is also building another different one near Novotel...!!
B-Patriot December 26th, 2005, 01:19 AM There's one more nice little addition to the seef skyline, opposite to the seef tower....You didn't take a picture of that one i guess...It's 15 stories now, and i'm hoping it'll be a bit more...Like at least as tall as the seef tower, which is 17 sotries, but i think its just 15...
Pearl of the Gulf December 26th, 2005, 01:24 AM ^^ this one BP?

AL QAED TOWER
Pearl of the Gulf December 26th, 2005, 01:26 AM its just that skyline-brn already had a thread for that tower and he placed this picture a week ago..
B-Patriot December 26th, 2005, 01:54 AM He did =S I missed that somehow.. Thanx anyways =)
Qatar4Ever December 26th, 2005, 02:39 AM Great to see the Financial Harboor coming up so fast. But I think they need to stop building these 20 or so high towers in the seef area. This place has so much potential.
Skyline-BRN December 26th, 2005, 02:48 AM Earlier this year they mentioned something about zoning and better planning in the seef area. They mentioned something about a new commercial strip in the area...I think that this is the road that streches from between meridian and seef. Can anyone confirm this?

and I still don’t know what this project is??
Pearl of the Gulf December 26th, 2005, 03:01 AM that’s the Ritz Carlton in the corner..
Elmahri December 26th, 2005, 10:18 AM that’s the Ritz Carlton in the corner..
the one which circled in the picture is not the Ritz Carlton, Ritz is just a bit on the left side
Pearl of the Gulf December 26th, 2005, 12:00 PM Sorry I didn’t mean the upper corner. The red circled is the unknown project and the Ritz is in the big photo on the left side.
Bahraini Spirit December 26th, 2005, 01:50 PM Great to see the Financial Harboor coming up so fast. But I think they need to stop building these 20 or so high towers in the seef area. This place has so much potential.
I agree, nothin less than 40, they should have a rule. They can keep those midrises for sanabis.
That project in the red circle, hmm I need to think about what that is cause I have no idea at the moment. Maybe cafes next to the sea, just a wild guess.
Pearl of the Gulf December 27th, 2005, 12:09 AM ^^ it can't be just cafes or restaurants the scale of the reclamation is too big for that sort of project. i guess we just have to wait and see..
Skyline-BRN January 18th, 2006, 04:05 PM Look at how massive these beasts are...I got this photo from Chan'ad Bahraini (http://chanad.weblogs.us/) :eek2:
http://chanad.weblogs.us/img/0601/445/640/100_6848.jpg
Natural Bahraini January 19th, 2006, 12:27 AM yeh i guess every 1 agrees with BS about the "nothin less than 40, they should have a rule"
hmm and the unknown project...it probibly is cafes and stuff...how big is it in size? mayb thats the new commercial area ?
Moody January 19th, 2006, 10:09 PM That circle, hmm i saw it and was wondering about it..
I saw it from the Ritz, its very close to its beach, so i guess a new massive resort hotel, i beleive something related to Ritz! a new Ritz? a new ??? whatever the case is, this has a relation.
Elmahri February 11th, 2006, 11:51 AM I took these pics yesturday. the pics are for a new tower in seef area

B-Patriot April 14th, 2006, 01:54 PM I don't think there's a thread for this one.... Its the building opposite to Dana Mall, on the Sanabis side...
The picture was taken a couple of days ago..

TampaMike May 1st, 2006, 11:20 PM Just wondering, does anyone have any renderings of all the buildings u/c on this thread and all that is proposed and approved?
Skyline-BRN May 2nd, 2006, 02:39 AM the buildings on this thread are smaller projects that dont really ave that much publicity so its very hard to find a rendering aprart from the ones posted on the display boards of some of the projects.

no one ever replies in those threads and they get lost in the back pages; i think this way is easier. plus they are all photos no real news for these..

i'm really starting to like this tower, but there is noo way its worth BD 8million.

yeah i know, but people do actually check the threads out u can tell from the view count...Anyway I think we need to do some advertising in other Bahraini forums to get more members to join!!
and yeah I love al qead1 .... the shape actually kinda reminds me a bit of best western baisan in hoora but with a more modern and commercial twist!
Skyline-BRN May 11th, 2006, 05:37 PM btw rcsi and salam bank are located where exactly? i havent been to bahrain in like a year! so im getting unfimilliar with these smaller projects :S
Pearl of the Gulf May 11th, 2006, 05:58 PM ^^ while going on the road between seef and almoayyed tower heading in the direction away from city bank, after passing the seef expansion you continue straight instead of going under the flyover. That will take you to al salam bank, but the area is mixed residential and comerical that why there is a high limit on these building.
Adel May 13th, 2006, 09:20 AM Ok the first pic which you called Qaed2 is Doha Plaza, it has the first car lifts in Bahrain. The unknown pic is the KFH twin towers, and the one you called Qaed1 is Walled Al Rishood Building which he sold to International United Bank for BD 8Mill ,and I agree with you it's not worth that much.He must have made a least 4Mill profit on it.

Adel do u have any idea how tall KFH twin towers is and i cant really tell from the picture where the location is exactly?
Pearl of the Gulf May 13th, 2006, 11:55 AM ^^ thanks for the info I’ll edit the names.
Adel May 13th, 2006, 12:15 PM KFH only 11F each unfortunatly, and it's near the new petrol station in Seef .

Maybe the 8 million includes the land, right...?
I'm not familiar with prices and costs of towers, and what's worth what... But it is in a prime location...!!
Great pictures btw, keep up the good work :)
There is a little tower coming up near the fish market, and lulu centre, it looks good... Also, that area, right before the Diplomatic, and Sanabis, could use a few more towers... It looks good, though a bit lonely... U see it as u cross the flyover, past Pearl roundabout, on to King Faisal Highway.... It's still underconstruction, and i think its at 15 or 16 floors.... It'll probably be a 16-18 floor tower, which is not bad :) I mean its nothing to be excited about, but i hate it when they have short buildings in such good locations, which they do a lot...
Skyline-BRN May 14th, 2006, 05:27 PM sounds good...and u know what we will expect u to do :D
Despite all these short towers in seef I still think there is alot of potential for a decent skyline...I mean lets not forget the area is quite big in its self.
And with Manams limited size and Bahrainis high demogrpahic growth skyscrapers will soon tranfrom from an option into a necessity!!!

new tower going up in Juffair, i think around 25 floor..
New tower on the way
http://gulf-daily-news.com/source/xxix/056/images/tower.jpg
More than 200 people attended a welcome dinner held at the Ritz Carlton Bahrain Hotel and Spa to introduce potential clients and private investors to the BD7-million Marvida Tower project. The 18-storey building in Juffair will feature one, two and three bedroom freehold apartments as well as a fitness centre, recreational club, business centre and entertainment facilities. Construction work is scheduled to begin within three months and will take 18 months to complete.
Left, Landmark director Mohammed Younis Shafi, second from left, with project investor Khalil Chaudhary, third from left, and other senior officials at the launch.
Pearl of the Gulf May 15th, 2006, 04:25 PM ^^ only 18-storey! i guess it was wishfully thinking on my part for it to be 25 floors. :)
anyways it will look great with these, but not really sure how close they are.

Skyline-BRN May 30th, 2006, 07:13 PM this is a cool tower and I guess the height will complement the ciy centre towers opposite...i still wish they built taller towers on the highway side before space runs out!!

from your mouth to god’s ear, and boy does he work fast. lol
that whole area has a lot of towers under construction, this is a new tower pretty close to al-ebrahimia tower. this one is 22 stories, so both should look good next to each other.

This is the new Ritz Carlton.
There was a nice TV show about bahrain and they had an intriview with the Ritz manager who said that the new Ritz is on an Island next to the existing Hotel and will be ready by 2008. they also showed a new shot for the island which looks amazing
Natural Bahraini June 10th, 2006, 04:29 PM Will the New Ritz be connected with the old ritz? or two different managements?
Elmahri June 10th, 2006, 05:31 PM Will the New Ritz be connected with the old ritz? or two different managements?

These are really cool...!!!! I think they're taken from on-top of the pedestrian bridge... I wanted to do this... i went a few steps up the pedestrian bridge in Al Fateh highway, and i started freaking out... =S
I have a sort of a fear of heights.. and the bridge isn't soo high, but the idea of cars speeding under, it just freaked me out... i thought i could, but.. what to say... its sorta embarassing, lol....
Soo these photos llook very fresh, i mean look at the BWTC, u can see they just started to put the 'crown' part on top.... there's a skeleton thing... Finally...!! I hope they don't take forever to put the rest on...!
Elmahri June 11th, 2006, 08:36 AM anyone know if this is a hotel? and if so is it going to be managed by novotel?

B-Patriot June 27th, 2006, 08:32 PM I thought it was supposed to be 25... its dissappointing =/
Pearl of the Gulf June 27th, 2006, 08:36 PM it still is 25 story.. i think
Skyline-BRN June 28th, 2006, 01:31 AM ya thats why i asked because i counted like 17 floors in the render (beofre the round part) and its meant to be like 25 floors...so im not sure if the render or floorcount is accurate
Pearl of the Gulf June 28th, 2006, 01:58 AM i looked through my camera and found another pic of trust tower
http://static.flickr.com/51/176652863_933e6858e8_o.jpg
look how tall AL-EBRAHIMIA TOWER became
http://static.flickr.com/70/176652862_f7fbe3b807_o.jpg
Pearl of the Gulf June 28th, 2006, 01:59 AM the core of trust is still 4 floors higher than the building so i think it will be 25-story.

There is something wrong with this tower, this tower is supposed to be double of the hight of Batelco's building.
Batelco is at hight of 10 stories ( lets say 12 as the reception is higher then the other floors),however till now this tower looks like only couple of floors higher :weird:
YeMeNi_guy June 28th, 2006, 12:43 PM maybe there are some floors underground
Bahraini Spirit July 2nd, 2006, 08:55 PM You might be right yemeni. Let it finish and then we'll see.

Bahraini Spirit October 7th, 2006, 12:08 AM Ya I do agree, many are coming along nicely but we need higher towers especially in the seef area.
Elmahri October 7th, 2006, 03:32 PM I heared from someone who works in Al Hamad Construction that a new tower 78 floors is coming soon in Seef area...
Pearl of the Gulf October 7th, 2006, 09:35 PM ^^ that’s good news, also when i went to take photos of city centre i saw a site next to it (nearer to city bank) belonging to ahmed al zamil. they already finished the piling work and the tower is going to be 21 floors.

B-Patriot November 14th, 2006, 11:43 PM I'm not sure what these are... They're in Juffair near the residence...
I couldn't find a notice thing which says how many floors it'll be...
But the core looks big, and from my limited experience, towers with big cores tend to be quite tall...
