Last time I was there, it smelled like shit. It was literally jsut a mound of raw sewage. I've seen ads saying this is complete, so I'm guessing they have all the buildings and most landscaping done.

Thank god they did something with this, though. It had been idle for about 15 years.

I think its like 90% complete, maybe the houses to be done? Last time i saw a few months back most of the towers seemed almost complete and like nikko said, the ads have been running so i think its almost all done? Also should this be in the regional section.

The buildings on the north side are done, just the south side to be done now.

Ephraim Island was first created artificially when the Queensland Government dug out the Gold Coast Seaway. They created Wave Break Island and retained it as Crown Land and they created Ephraim Island and gave it to the GCCC. The GCCC built a bridge across there, but nothing was proposed for the site until around 2003.

If it was closer to downtown Surfers and not soo pricey I'd seriously consider moving there

ephraim sounds like something nast that happens in your bottom... like, i was on the toilet, pushed too hard and had an ephraimism.

just my thoughts.

i reckon its quite awesome and unique, living on a near private island... apparently the lifestyle there is fantastic...
