Since 2005 is ending and marking the first half of the first decade of the 21st century, post your predictions how Saigon and Vietnam overall will turn out by 2010! :)

In term of what? Social, political, economic or skyline wise?

Skyline wise.

Saigon and Hanoi will be so different in 5 years time, considering the ten dozens of projects underconstruction and those approved and projected to be completed by 2010.

Hope this construction boom will be sustainable and won't be disrupted by another economic crisis.

thu thiem will be half way completed, that means there will be the new commercial district complete.
the meto system is technically supposed to be completed by 2010 by we havent seen them start doing anything, well besides drawing the routes.
Because of the metro sytem and the new thu thiem saigon will grow lik CRAZY. binh thuan (is that hwo u spell it?) will be developed because of its proximity to thu theim and district 1....

Most of the infrastructure projects are completed by 2010....so Vietnam will be good equipped...bridges like Vinh Thuy, Thu Thiem,...aiports be build/upgrading at Hanoi Noi Bai, Phu Quoc, HP Cat Bi, Lao Cai, Da Nang, Long Thanh (!!!)... new subways, trams, high-ways, sky-trains,...and many more.

...so the masterplan of government to become a industrial country by 2020 is half be done, too.


Vietnam Airlines will rank hopefully same high with Thai and Singapore Airlines!!!

Talking about dreams, guys, i would dream the poor people's lives will get better, average working people will have better clothes and meals, that there will be no more slums, that the streets will be cleaner, not by increasing the number of sweepers but because ppl knows that littering is as bad as spitting in front of your girlfriend. I would dream that ppl minds will be changing, positively, espcially the young ones, that the world needs peace not war, that creativity is better than learning by rode....I would dream that the government areas will truly serve its people as it means to be....

That's all.


But besides...more materialistic dreams :)
