In fact the population of Islamabad is one million. Population of twin city Rawalpindi is two million. Combined population of Islamabad and Rawalpindi is three million.

The city is new and it entertainment is still being established!

You have to remember that the population of Islamabad is at 700,000 so you cant expect much of a identity from such a small number. And entertainment is widely available in Rawalpindi which is a large city less than a mile away from Islamabad.

Islabad is pretty and not crowded. I wish to take my army (when I form one) and conquer that paradise and spread my doctrine. Thanks for those pics, never seen that part and hardly hear of it.

islamabad is a fairly new city....built in the late 1960's. thats why it does not have cultural old buildings like lahore or anyother city of pakistan which represent the pakistani tradition....but the city is growing very fast and the demand for housing is puring out of the cup...btw thanks for all of your comments....btw gregory pakistan has a lot more to shock you from beautiful landscapes to beautiful girls lolzzz. :)

Very green, some of the architecture looks a little dated but you say it was built around 1960 so I guess that's expected. I like the main mosque there. :)

The main mosque was built by Turkish Architect Vedat Dalokay. This mosque is a symbol of the friendship between Turkey and Pakistan.

I like Pakistan and Islamabad very very much.

Yes...

that was because the earlier capital Karachi, was too vulnerable because it was a sea port. Lahore was also very vulnerable being close to the border with India. Islamabad is a nice central location a little bit up to the North.
