Phobos January 1st, 2006, 12:58 AM São Bento Station is located in the historic heart of Porto and it was built in a place previously occupied by a mannerist monastery.Ground breaking of the structure started in 1904 and the building was inaugurated in 1915.The panels located in the station's concourse are a masterpiece of Portuguese tiles art,and evokes scenes of the city's history.
