It's pronounced "shy", but NEVER EVER spelled that way. If you do you might as well go ahead and slather your hot dog with ketchup.

"Chi-town" or simply "Chitown" - Pronunciation of this nickname can vary from "TCHI-town" to "SHAI-town" to "CHEE-town."

The way I pronounce it the first way, it sounds like "SHAtown.

LOL, I put ketchup on my hotdogs, I say "sneakers" instead of "tenna-shoes" I say "pop" instead of "soda". I LIKE new york pizza.(But Chi-town style will always rule) I don't know what's wrong with me. me and my parents were both born and raised here.
:hm:

I'd pronounce it like the beginning of chicago, but then it would sound like "shit town" and we can't have that :O

"CHEE-Town"

Chicago is better than NYC and LA, anyone who says otherwise is dumb. :D
