baria you and I don't speak on the same page......always seems like I go west, you go east, I'm looking for queen Elizabeth........you're looking for eskimos

I'm not talking about dalat growing or not growing
I'm talking about the architectures of Dalat......and if for 1 second you think Dalat is beautiful in term of architecture then you should learn more of the history of architectures and Dalat the city itself
and 17yrs ago is about the late 80s-to early 90s not the 70s

take a famous and experience architect around Dalat now and tell him Dalat architecture is beautiful. He will choke U to death.

tube houses every freaking where......dirty kiosks and shops every freaking corner, go to Webshots and search for pictures of Dalat and tell me Dalat is beautiful in general aside from the remaining few buildings left by the French...the universsity, church, etc...

of course they should expand, but if they don't know what they're doing they're chopping off all the trees and natural resources for urbanize......there are still lots of wasted land in the inner city....I know this , I explored the place on foot for days.....there are emtply spaces in the inner city that people use it for garbage dump..

horse carriages that you see around "than tho" are for tourists
the horses carriages that I saw when I was there in the 80s were the main transportation of the city, women used it to bring their maerchandise to markets, students used it to go to school , people used it to get from 1 poin to another, that was why Dalat was green and free of car poluttion.

A number of Danish firms are to team up with Vietnamese partners to develop one of the Asia’s largest safari complexes at Binh Chau-Phuoc Buu natural sanctuary in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau.

Green City Denmark (GCD), an internationally-recognised firm with 260 affiliates operating in environment, energy, tourism and agriculture sectors, has been reported to be in the advance planning stage to form a joint venture with two Vietnamese firms to develop the Binh Chau Safari.
The joint venture is to have a legal capital of $30 million, with GCD contributing $20 million and the two local firms, namely Dong Bac Urban Investment and Tourism Company and Saigon Environmental Technical Service and Technology Company (Edico), the balance.
“The venture will be established and submitted to the Ministry of Planning and Investment for consideration and approval after a master plan for the park is completed by the first quarter of 2006,” Hai said.
Le Cong Hai, an official from the provincial department of tourism (DoT), confirmed to Vietnam Investment Review last week that the 500-hectare complex will consist of a modern safari park with various species of rare tropical animals, plants and botanical gardens.
Other facilities such as water palaces, luxury coastal and lakeside villas, resorts, a studio and recreational facilities will also be built in the complex to serve tourists.
The location [to build the safari park] is considered one of the most unique in Asia as it has low natural hills, big lakes, a long range of coastal land and tropical seaside. It is also near the industrial urban areas of southern provinces and Trans-Asia route, suitable for developing modern and ecological tourism.
Apart from GCD, other five Danish firms are also showing keen interest in this project. They have sent their experts to Vietnam to do research and work out a master plan for the project.
“Due to the large scale of the project, many support choosing foreign consultants to help us build the complex,” said an executive from Edico.
He said that Denmark’s Odense Zoo and Skaarup & Jespersen – which is now in charge of conducting a master plan for Phu Quoc Island – will be invited to plan and design the architecture for the project.
The Binh Chau Safari project was initiated two years ago and has already received the government’s in-principle approval. It is a model of high-end tourism development, so big money will be needed to develop modern infrastructure, to import and raise animals in accordance with international standards and also to ensure environmental and technical conditions.
According to the feasibility plan, the Binh Chau Safari project will have a total capital of $210 million, with $100 million to be contributed by Vietnamese and Danish partners in the project and the rest $110 million coming from bank loans, non-refundable official development assistance (ODA) capital by Denmark government and other sources.
The joint venture partners plan to develop the project in four phases, with the first two phases focusing on preparing the masterplan, park design, basic and logistic infrastructure for the project and the other two phases finishing the main facilities for the safari park and auxiliary facilities for tourists.
The project is expected to be fully operational by 2012 and targets local and foreign visitors, especially those from northern Europe who often like to travel to tropical coastal places, and researchers.

Bang, how does the first (old) Dalat photo correspond to the second and third? Is that the same place? I can't find anything that corresponds... can't find the old building of the second and third pic in the first pic.

Banning cars from the center of the city, pedestrianizing those streets, would have been a logical move. Hundreds of European towns have pedestrian zones. And they live off tourism. But who would have thought 15 years ago that Vietnam would become any kind of tourist destination? The only solution now is to make fake-old resorts around Dalat; this is what is indeed happening.

I think Dalat does have a pedestrian zone for some certain hours of the day, and certain days of the week, but not sure where or when. Anybody know?

Developers are flocking to Binh Thuan province with plans to develop tourist resorts, turning the area into a popular seaside destination, eager to market the area for its picturesque beaches and not just its famed fish sauce.

When Daniel Arnaud first set foot in the sleepy seaside town of Phan Thiet over a decade ago, little did he know he was laying down the foundations to develop the area into a coastal resort.
After deciding to leave his position with the chain of Hilton Hotels and venture out on his own, French-born Arnaud essentially kick started a resort construction boom in the coastal town.
Upon arriving in Phan Thiet, the small town was still a sleepy untouched paradise in comparison to more popular destinations like Phuket and Bali.
While these famous counterparts were internationally known and attract a large volume of visitors each year, Phan Thiet was still struggling to gain recognition as a beachside holiday destination.
Arnaud himself is even guilty of failing to recognise the natural beauty of Phan Thiet, actually passing the town on his way to Nha Trang and neglecting to even notice the place.
While searching the area a few months later for a location, Arnaud eventually chanced upon Mui Ne Bay and fell in love with the place instantly.
“It was a real holiday postcard,” exclaimed Arnaud.
Mui Ne reminded Arnaud of the western coast of Kho Samui in Thailand, offering vast stretches of white sand, clear blue skies and a plentiful supply of coconut trees.
Situated just a short distance from Ho Chi Minh City and its international airport, the area boasts an ideal location that would make it easy to tap into the Asian resort market.
“I was looking for that type of place and I just happened to find it,” said Arnaud.
Arnaud eventually opened CocoBeach in 1995 during a critical time in the nation’s economic development and also become the first resort in Phan Thiet.
A the time Vietnam was poised to develop into Asia’s latest tiger economy after the lifting of the US embargo, resulting in many foreign investors crowding for the chance to grab a slice of the pie.
Just like most projects trying to find their feet, CocoBeach had its own share of ups and downs during the initial development phase.
Although Arnaud was confident about the eventual success of the development, he did plan for a couple of tough years during the initial stages, especially since the area was known as the fish sauce making capital.
Another problem faced by Arnaud was the lack of infrastructure to accommodate the development of tourism, especially since the road from Phan Thiet to Mui Ne was merely a narrow stretch of sandy bitumen, and there was no electricity supply or telephone lines
“We actually thought it would take between three to five years before we could actually welcome foreign tourists,” he said.
However, to Arnaud’s surprise, three months after CocoBeach was opened, tourists flocked to Phan Thiet to see a once-in-a-lifetime total solar eclipse.
Ever since this surprising turn of events, the once hidden oasis that was Phan Thiet soon flourished into a highly desired tourist destination.
Some additional small hiccups were encountered on the way, with the Asian economic crisis of 1997 slowing down development, however, Phan Thiet’s tourism once again took off a year later.
Once considered an untouched backwater, Binh Thuan is emerging as a resort hub with new developments opening every month, not only in Phan Thiet, but also in other regions.
“Competition is getting tougher and tougher due to the opening of new resorts,” said Tran Ngoc, general manager of Saigon Mui Ne, a 75-room resort next to CocoBeach.
Saigon Mui Ne opened six years ago in Binh Thuan as the area’s fifth resort, and developers are still coming, with numerous large-scale resorts and tourism projects planned for the future.
“We have already completed 78 tourism projects, and most of them are resorts,” said Nguyen Van Thu, vice chairman of Binh Thuan Provincial People’s Committee, which recently held the Green Convergence Festival to promote local tourism.
Thu said the province has lured 337 projects with registered capital of $600 million so far, yet this just seems to be the start of something bigger as the real growth is still to come.
While Binh Thuan has yet to transcend the status of its counterparts, resorts are continuously springing up alongside the fishing villages, sand dunes and unspoiled beaches, helping the province achieve its target of building 200 to 250 resorts by 2010, more than double the current number.
Despite Nha Trang, Hoi An, Danang and Phu Quoc still holding the potential to house resorts in ideal year-round conditions, more new projects are finding their way to Phan Thiet.
Once such example is a new French-Vietnamese joint venture planning to open the Princess Annam Resort with 58 luxury villas by mid this year, joining the recently completed Pandanus, Rock Garden Spa and Sea Horse.
American company South Fork Development is also hoping to promote Phan Thiet as Vietnam’s Hawaii, planning to build a Disneyland-styled complex with five luxury resorts and two golf courses on 600 hectares at an estimated $1 billion.
South Fork management said Phan Thiet is considered the prime area for resort development in Vietnam, and is rapidly becoming a vital tourist and commercial destination for people around the world.
Vietnam last year attracted 3.4 million foreign visitors, and the number is expected to double within the next five years, and resort developers are hoping numbers will also increase in Phan Thiet.
Foreign tourist figures in Binh Thuan have steadily grown to reach 150,000 in 2005, and rooms have grown in line with demand.
The province now has 3,000 hotel rooms and this figure will grow significantly in the near future since a handful of new resorts are under construction.
Tourism in Binh Thuan posted an annual growth of 30 per cent, earning revenue of $30 million last year. However, Vietnamese tourists remain the main feeder market for the expanding number of resorts in the province.
As living standards improved on the back of a national economy growing at an average 7.5 per cent over the last five years, hordes of tourists are willing to drive for five hours from Ho Chi Minh City to Binh Thuan for a weekend holiday.
The province attracted over 1.6 million Vietnamese tourists last year, becoming the hottest tourist destination in central Vietnam and outperforming rivals Quang Nam province, Hoi An and My Son.
“I had no idea that the overall development of roads, telephone lines, hotels, and resorts would happen so fast, and that Phan Thiet-Mui Ne would so smoothly gain international recognition as a famed tourist destination,” said Arnaud.
Nothing would have been possible if not for the willingness of provincial authorities to give Phan Thiet a chance to develop its tourism potential.
Vice chairman Thu said the province would focus on the construction of infrastructure for Phan Thiet town, investing in a transport system, electricity and a water supply as well as protecting the environment.
Thu said Binh Thuan was determined to improve its foreign arrival numbers as international visitors only account for 10 per cent of total tourist volume in the province.
“We plan to enhance the quality of services, accommodation, tour programs and entertainment facilities in order to increase the number of foreign arrivals,” said Thu.
Arnaud agreed with Thu’s sentiments, adding that the main goal for CocoBeach resort within the next two to three years was to upgrade and refurbish all rooms and position itself as the leading international boutique in the region.
The only other plans in the pipeline are Arnaud’s intentions to convince the local partner Binh Thuan Tourist Company to sell their half of the investment, making CocoBeach a 100 per cent foreign owned venture.
Arnaud also expressed his desire to stay in Binh Thuan to experience and enjoy the forthcoming tourism boom, and watch the once sleepy oasis continue its growth as a holiday destination.

no they are different....it's very hard to find pictures of dalat in the early 90s because most tourists at the time only been introduced to vn by the big main cities like Sg and HN
and I believe they did have a pedestrian zone for dalat for few weeks, then the area became so dead, because no one venture inside after few days of curiousity....bussinesses couldn't operate, so they turned everything back.

Interesting! A growing city of 2006 has to keep 1980's atmosphere and the primative mode of transportation. So interesting!! New York's streets were originally built for horses and carriages, now we only find a few carrying tourists around Central Park starting from Park Plaza! Bad New York! Shame on New York!!!

One horse carriage goes one way; another goes the other way. That makes it a two-way street! A glass is half full, and a glass half empty. That makes different views. I don't feel uncomfortable while in VN, and that's why I keep comming back. I don't go to the places that I don't like the people or the place itself. Thank God, I still have the choice!

where did New York came in the picture? unless I advocate for horse buggies in Sg like the colonial times then yeah bring in New York..New York is a mega metroplis of 10 million, Dalat is a town of 300-400 thousands.....even bigger city of Can THo only avknowledge to become city in 2003.

Let me say again I'm still talking about the architecture. Horsey thing is just an elaboration. and the horses carriages in Dalat now are "coach" western style carriages.......the horse carriages I'm talking about is more like a horse wagon, the indonesian style that been introduced to VN in the 18-19 century.

there's no place in VN that has that unique legacy of horse carriages that linger on until the 90s not even Sapa. Dalat , Sapa, Hoian, they are small towns and resorts, they are only a fraction of major cities like saigon and Hanoi that's why we want to keep it unique and we can afford to do that....and only Dalat has the tittle "honey moon city" in VN
......if things should go modern like what you say then Hoian shouldn't lit all those Chinese and Japanese lanterns and become the first pedestrian city in VN and all those old CHinese and Japanese houses. that's bizzare and disrespect to the Vietnamese culture......those houses are old ...so so old pull them down, build something big and modern.

I don't know what I looked for, like you said. But I do look for a realistic situation.

You can't have everything like in a perfect world, my friend! You can't have progress without touching anything. You can't have factories providing jobs without seeing them! You can't have a 21-year-old, 6-feet-6 son, who can do everything an adult can do, but, yet, you also want him to keep a 5-year-old personality, just because you don't want to loose him as your baby!

Architecturally, I think we must keep what is deemed to be significant to national history, not to a person or a group of persons.

It is just that everything about VN got to be so negative for you. While the rest of the world are not so perfect, Vietnam is very unlikely be. If I want a picture of a pile of dirt or trash, I don't have to go very far from where I live to come up with a picture of an even better heap of trash.

"...Peace has not been kind to Dalat. Developments have run amok, spoiling the once pristine city. The government has turned the beautiful "central park" named Doi Cu which occupies half of the city into a fenced-in golf course, catering to tourists with plenty of cash and little regard for its effect on this once bucolic destination where the average Vietnamese could escape from the heat and the rapid pace of Saigon and elsewhere.

Doi Cu is a great place where local and tourists came for an evening break.....flying kites, lying along the slopping hill and watch the world goes by......I have a picture taken there in the early 80s..........just thought I came back during my previous visit to see the old place......who knew they fenced up the entire area,

and the thing is.......no one was inside playing golf

You may be right, I don't know a dang thing about architectures and urban planing. It is just you who knows about it, amongst everything else.

Vietnam is a developing country, but everything happens there must be right, or, at least to satisfy you. Now, who is being hard on himself? Ask yourself this question: Am I perfect? If not, don't expect everything around you to be.

I'm not looking for Batman or Robin, like you said. I am just looking for reasonable thoughts.

wow this is Da lat in the early 90s? man it's so bad that most of these buildings are gone...

my quick opinion on this...even when we talk about progress...the destruction of too many buildings like these as the consequence then we are doing more harm then good
we are virtually destroying the urban fabrics of these cities as well as its characteristics.....this would be so much more difficult to recover if not impossible when we realized later on that all we have are modern buildings...
of course there are always be some compromises in the name progress...but as all of the examples cited ealier...the price is too costly.

Well those tube houses are slowly being eradicated, and in place will be spacious office highrises and condominium. We have a tube house in Saigon and I feel very oppressed living in it, with the whole house's land space little more than our house's master bedroom back here in Australia.

yes versasin that's dalat not very long ago.

i still recall the first time arrived to Dalat bus station and saw horses carriages standing uniformly await for passengers.
and those horsey carried us up and down the winding and slopping hills under the early morning fog.....and the architectures they are so different from SG you could acctually felt Dalat......
now they're just many highrise tubehouses.

I think right now they try to restrict the height of buildings to "preserve" dalat.

see the thing is.....if you know your stuff, Dalat could build 10-15 storeys apartments that could incorporate well with the local environment without hesitation...there are many elevation , slops, hills..that allowed you to fabricate the buildings and tuck away the height....this is another story but if you're an architect student you understand what i'm talking about.

and no I don't want tall apartment buildings in Dalat, but a dozen or two like that could clean up the tubehouses and the city a little

HANOI (AFX) - The world's largest chipmaker Intel has asked the Vietnamese government for a license to build a chip plant worth 605 mln usd in Saigon Hitech Park - Ho Chi Minh City, a government official said.

Under Vietnamese regulations, the project needs authorisation from several ministries before being submitted to the prime minister for a final approval.

Intel officials declined any immediate comment.

According to the daily Tuoi Tre newspaper, the plant will cover 46.7 hectares and employ 2,000 local workers.

In late 2003, Intel signed an agreement with FPT, a semi-private Vietnamese IT company, to be its first original equipment manufacturer (OEM) in Vietnam.

Under the agreement, Intel sells central processing units, main boards and other components to FPT at preferential prices for the manufacture of desktops, laptops and servers under the Vietnamese company's Elead brand.

Last June, Intel president Paul Otellini said his company was already enjoying growing sales in the communist nation, the fastest growing PC market among the 10 members of the Association of South-East Asian Nations.

Intel Corporation's project costing US $605 million to build a chip-manufacturing factory has been licensed into HCMC's Saigon High-Tech Park, an official from the Ministry of Planning and Investment said.

Minister of Planning and Investment Vo Hong Phuc has signed the license for the most capital-intensive information technology project in Viet*nam, and the license will be handed to the investor, said Nguyen Doc Lap, secretary to the minister.

Intel will organize a special function at the Reunification Palace in HCMC on Tuesday to receive the license.

The corporation will estab*lish the Intel Products Viet*nam to execute the project.

The license was issued fol*lowing the approval by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Khoan last Friday. In his note of approval, Khoan also asked the authority of the southern hi-tech park to provide some special incentives for the in*vestor.

Pham Chanh Truc, head of the authority, told the Daily yesterday Intel would be en*titled to the most preferential policies.

Under the license, the U. S.-headquartered Intel will invest a hefty US$605 million in the factory in the park to produce chips for export. The project is registered by Hong Kong-based Intel Asia Holding Ltd.

Intel will employ some 2,000 workers for its wholly-owned factory, which will undergo phased development. The factory will cover nearly 47 hectares in the park, and will have an operational period of 50 years.

Intel has spent a long time negotiating the project with Vietnamese authorities after its Chairman Craig Barret had met With Deputy Prime Minister Vu Khoan at the Vietnamese em-basi in Washington DCinmid-20—over the corporation's in-ten of investment.

Dubai Real Estate Group of the United Arab Emirates has won a bid to build a bridge in Vietnam’s historic Hoi An town linking two provinces.
The Cua Dai suspension bridge, to link the central Quang Nam and Thua Thien Hue provinces, was expected to cost some VND400 billion (US$25.2 million) and would be built under the BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) system, the Quang Nam People’s Committee said Wednesday.

The bridge over the Thu Bon River will span some 1.3 kilometers.

The committee said it would facilitate an early start to the project.

Hoi An is one of Quang Nam’s two UNESCO-listed ancient towns, the other being the Hindu relic site, My Son.

A leading US real estate and investment firm Platinum Dragon Empire Incorporated (PDE) has tabled plans to develop a Disneyland-style theme park and an aquarium complex in the coastal town of Vung Tau, a popular tourist destination 129 kilometres southeast of Ho Chi Minh City.

The company submitted its plans to Ba Ria-Vung Tau province authorities when a delegation, led by chairman and CEO William Lee, visited the Sea Festival 2006 in Vung Tau last week. It also assigned Good Choice Imports-Exports & Investments, Inc (GCII), one of PDE’s affiliates, to proceed with the two projects, with a combined investment capital of up to $550 million.
One of the proposals includes a theme park project, named ‘Wonderful World’, which will cover nearly 200 hectares in the Vung Tau’s Bau Trung area and feature an amusement park modelled on Disneyland with entertainment for children and adults.
The giant park will also house a “Wonders of the World” site, where spectators will find replicas of the Eiffel Tower, Golden Gate Bridge, the Egyptian Pyramids as well as an international conference centre, shopping malls, internationally-standardised hotels and restaurants, 3D cinemas, and open-air stages. The cost for the project is estimated at $300m.
“But the sum will possibly be higher or lower depending on the land area the Ba Ria-Vung Tau province allocates to us to implement the project,” GCII’s president Hanh Duong told Vietnam Investment Review in an exclusive interview last week.
The GCII’s second project is an aquarium complex in Nghinh Phong Cape in Vung Tau coastal town. The multi-storey Vung Tau Aquarium will be modelled on the largest aquarium in the coastal city of Monterey in northern California, USA. The project will be comprised of large aquariums displaying various marine life as well as fastfood restaurants, bars, souvenir shops, booking counters, waiting rooms and showrooms featuring coral, marine plants and information on oceanography.

The estimated capital for the project is up to $250m.
According to Duong, the two projects are to be designed by Gary Olson, an internationally-reputed chief architect and the designer of a number of theme parks in the world.
“Construction on the two projects will begin at the same time and right after the investment license is awarded,” Duong said, adding that the local government has provided them with full support.
“The provincial authorities are all very supportive. They promise to make land available for our projects and help us solve investment procedures under the ‘one-door’ mechanism, even convincing the Vietnamese governmental agencies to approve the projects,” he said.
The two projects are scheduled to finish in two-and-a-half years, but Duong said he wanted them to be operational as soon as possible to cash in on arising opportunities for Vietnam’s tourism industry, particularly as coastal resorts in some regional countries were devastated by the Asian Tsunami in 2004.
“Our ambition is to revitalise the tourism industry in Vung Tau, which has many advantages in terms of location, scenery, beaches and environment but has been neglected by domestic and foreign tourists in recent years due to a lack of attractive tourist products and recreational facilities,” he said.
He is supported by statistical figures, showing that Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province now has only two hotels meeting four-star standards with 185 rooms, equaling 2.7 per cent of the number of four-star rooms in the country. The province does not have any five-star hotels.
PDE’s chairman and CEO William Lee, in a meeting with the Ba Ria-Vung Tau province authorities last week, said he and other American investors wanted to boost tourism development in Vung Tau and transform this coastal city into a world-class tourist destination.
Lee is a Vietnamese American who has strong ties to many Vietnamese businessmen and government officials.
He is also in association with other developers to build a number of projects for the Vietnamese community in the US, including the Little Saigon Plaza and the “V” Heritage Plaza in Bakersfield, California.
He said apart from the two projects, PDE and its affiliates were attempting to become involved in many other projects in industrial infrastructure development, waste water treatment and training sectors in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province under direct investment or technological transfer modes.

Credit Suisse and Indochina Land will take over a mammoth entertainment complex in Saigon South after the project has stood still for three-years.
An insider said at April 17's meeting between the concerned parties that HCM City vice chair Nguyen Huu Tin had agreed to Credit Suisse and Indochina Land developing the 46.7-hectare SaigoMax.
The complex in the outlying Binh Chanh District is considered one of the largest entertainment centres in the country, the source said. SaigoMax will have recreation parks, restaurants, shops and other facilities.
The complex will include the Techno Max area for introducing new scientific inventions and the latest technologies, the Ride Max featuring some 20 fun fair rides, the Splash Max water park and the Movie Max with an open-air cinema and a modem theatre.
City authorities believe that the two new developers, with their financial capacity and experience in developing real estate projects in Vietnam, will begin construction soon. Besides giving the green light to Credit Suisse, a member of Credit Suisse Group, and Indochina Land, city authorities also agreed to provide five more hectares in an add-on residential area in Saigon South for these developers to build houses, apartment blocks and trade centres.
The move aims to help authorities recover investment funds paid for SaigoMax. SaigoMax' previous developer will also pay a compensation to the city government and agencies for not carrying out any work on the leased land.
Work on the project was to start in early 2003 under SaigoMax Joint-Venture Co, a 70-3 0 joint venture between Saigon Entertainment Park Holdings Ltd of Singapore and Saigon South Development Corp.
In 2004 Saigon Entertainment Park asked to take over the project, making it a 100% foreign invested one, and increase the total capital from US$120 million to US$220 million.
Despite the Ministry of Planning and Investment's approval, the project did not get off the ground.

Aren't there projects and developments in the Mekong delta region? What about Chau Doc, Can Tho, Kien Giang, Ha Tien etc? Not neccessarily just highrise buildings but also industrial, manufacturing, tourism and cultural projects.

last time I when to Ho Nai, it felt like I'm in North America, they got all these overpasses, highways and the sloping streets going up and down like Dalat. During rush hours it was so busy, at night it was dead, but very bright with lots of street lights just like north america....I hate it

SHTP, Vietnam, Nov. 10, 2006 – Intel Corporation announced today that it will increase the size of the assembly and test facility it is building in Vietnam from 150,000 square feet to 500,000 square feet and raise its investment from the USD$300 million announced in February to USD$1 billion. Intel decided to increase the size of the facility after an internal study determined that 500,000 square feet was the most efficient size for assembly and test facilities.

Speaking at Intel's ceremony to announce the expansion, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung hailed foreign investors in Viet Nam, including Intel, and called on Vietnamese businesses and local authorities to support Intel's project.

US Ambassador to Viet Nam Michael Marine said the chip assembly and testing plant was the US's largest project in Viet Nam to date and the first project in the field of semiconductor technology in the country.

He said, the plant demonstrates Viet Nam's success in attracting hi-tech projects.

The new Vietnam facility will be the largest single factory within the Intel assembly and test network. With the additional capacity plans, construction is now expected to begin in March. Production will begin in 2009 and could eventually employ as many as 4,000 people.

2 tỉ euro cho “Hòn ngọc châu Á” tại Phú Quốc

TT - (TP.HCM) Tập đoàn ủy thác Trustee Suisse (Thụy Sĩ) vừa có văn bản gửi UBND tỉnh Kiên Giang và làm việc với một số bộ, ngành đề nghị được đầu tư vào đảo Phú Quốc một dự án với qui mô vốn lên đến 2 tỉ euro.

Dự án có tên gọi “Hòn ngọc châu Á” sẽ được qui hoạch xây dựng tại khu vực Rạch Tràm (phía bắc đảo Phú Quốc) với một khu trung tâm tài chính, khu phức hợp đô thị và du lịch, bao gồm khu khách sạn, nhà vườn... với tổng diện tích khoảng hơn 200ha. Trao đổi với Tuổi Trẻ, Chủ tịch UBND tỉnh Kiên Giang Bùi Ngọc Sương đã xác nhận thông tin trên và cho biết tỉnh đã ký thỏa thuận đồng ý về mặt chủ trương, cho phép nhà đầu tư được khảo sát đầu tư vào khu vực trên. Hiện nay, tập đoàn này đang ráo riết khảo sát và hoàn tất các thủ tục để trình hồ sơ xin phép đầu tư lên các cơ quan chức năng.

Trước đó UBND tỉnh Kiên Giang cũng đã chấp nhận cho Công ty Rockingham Asset Management LLC (Mỹ) đầu tư vào dự án phát triển quần thể du lịch, giải trí, nghỉ dưỡng tại bãi Vòng - bãi Sao, đảo Phú Quốc với số vốn 1 tỉ USD.

I went to can tho when i was in Vietnam and i've only visited a park with the ho's statue and the mall with air conditioning, i dont know its it s mall or not, or a supermarket it sells food tho. then i took the ferry home. i dont see any high rises there.

US firm wants casino added to billion dollar tourism complex

US-based Winvest Investment LLC has asked the government for permission to add a casino to its planned tourism complex, a move that would more than triple the company’s investment in Vietnam to over $1 billion.

Last year, Winvest LLC obtained a license from Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province government to build the US$300 million five-star Saigon Atlantic tourism complex at Cua Lap, about 6 km east of Vung Tau city.

The project includes a five-star hotel, villas, recreational facilities, shopping centers, restaurants and an entertainment park.

The project is to be built in three phases over five years.

The first phase will start with the construction of the $150mil Saigon Atlantis Hotel.

The second phase will follow with work on building restaurants, a golf course, around 75 villas, gardens, a helicopter landing pad and a bank.

Swimming pools, a water park, a boat-racing zone, a theater, a trade center, duty-free shopping and an exhibition space will come in the last phase.

The US group is the project’s sole investor. The current project license will last 50 years, however the company plans to ask for a 30-year extension.

Winvest has already submitted another $300 mil tourism proposal to Lam Dong Province authorities in the Central Highlands.

In the first two months of this year, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province has already licensed four foreign direct investment (FDI) projects worth $272 million in total, a 45.3 percent increase in value over the same period of last year.

The province is also promoting six other investment projects worth a total of $945 million.

The Boston-based Winvest owns and operates The Super 88 Market, the leading Asian supermarket chain in New England, Chau Chou City Restaurant, Evergreen Import & Export, and a real estate development group.

Nghe nói Chính quyền thành phố Cần Thơ không có ý xây dựng nhà cao tầng trong thành phố mà giới hạn độ cao tối đa là 10 tầng. Hơn nữa đặc điểm địa chất của Cần Thơ là đất phù sa bồi đắp và đất ngập lũ chắc cũng không thích hợp cho nhà cao tầng. Nhưng sao khi đọc tin có hình tòa nhà đôi Phú An ở trên, tôi nghĩ chắc chính quyền đã đổi ý. Đường link dưới đây từ trang ttvnol (trái tim Việt Nam online) sẽ cho các bạn bức tranh rõ hơn về Cần Thơ. Có tất cả 6 trang gồm nhiều hình thành phố (dù chưa phải là toàn bộ vì tôi thấy không có hình cái siêu thị METRO to đùng của Đức xây gần bệnh viên đa khoa mới và một số công trình khác như Công Viên nước và khu biệt thự Cồn Khương cũng như Trung Tâm thương mại Cái Khế). Tôi cũng như Bang đang chờ để thấy những công trình này hoàn thành.

CT)- Ông Masami Miyauchi, Giám đốc Liên doanh 3 nhà thầu Taisei - Kajima - Nippon Steel (TKN), đơn vị đảm trách thi công gói thầu chính (gói thầu số 2) cầu Cần Thơ, cho biết: Đến thời điểm này, cầu Cần Thơ đã xây dựng đạt 53% khối lượng công việc, đảm bảo tiến độ xây dựng chung của công trình này (nhanh hơn so với hai gói thầu số 1 và số 3). Đặc biệt, hai trụ tháp của cầu đã hoàn thành được 100m đầu tiên, đây là mốc quan trọng của quá trình xây dựng cầu Cần Thơ. Với tiến độ như hiện nay, đến tháng 10-2007 sẽ hoàn thành 64,8m còn lại của 2 trụ tháp này.
Ngoài ra, 44 trụ và mũ trụ trên suốt tuyến thân cầu chính cũng cơ bản hoàn thành. Một số đoạn cầu bờ phía Bắc (thuộc huyện Bình Minh-Vĩnh Long) giáp với đường dẫn đã bắt đầu triển khai gác dầm. Theo các nhà thầu, điều kiện thời tiết hiện nay rất thuận lợi cho công tác xây dựng. Hai gói thầu còn lại gồm gói thầu 1 đường dẫn phía Vĩnh Long và gói thầu 3 đường dẫn phía Cần Thơ cũng cơ bản đạt khối lượng thi công cũng như giá trị giải ngân của hợp đồng.
Theo kế hoạch, cầu Cần Thơ sẽ hợp long trong tháng 10-2008 và tháng 12-2008 hoàn thành đưa vào sử dụng.

Công ty J-POWER đề xuất đầu tư dự án Nhà máy nhiệt điện đốt than tại huyện Tân Thành
Ngày 24-5, Công ty J-POWER của Nhật Bản đã đề xuất với UBND tỉnh việc đầu tư một nhà máy nhiệt điện đốt than tại huyện Tân Thành. Lãnh đạo J-POWER cho biết sau khi tìm hiểu, khảo sát địa điểm để xây dựng dự án, công ty nhận thấy có hai địa điểm thuận lợi là xã Phước Hoà và xã Tân Phước (huyện Tân Thành).
Dự kiến Nhà máy sẽ được xây dựng với công nghệ tiên tiến nhất đang áp dụng tại Nhật Bản, bảo đảm các tiêu chuẩn về môi trường. Công ty J-POWER cho biết, có 2 phương án xây dựng nhà máy và công suất của nhà máy phụ thuộc vào diện tích đất được tỉnh cấp. Phương án 1, sẽ xây dựng nhà máy trên diện tích 50 ha, công suất đạt 1.200 MW; phương án 2, xây dựng nhà máy trên diện tích 100 ha, công suất đạt 2.400 MW. Nguồn nhiên liệu than cung cấp cho nhà máy sẽ được nhập khẩu 100% từ Indonesia hoặc Australia. Tổng vốn đầu tư cho nhà máy này từ 1,2 –tỷ 2,4 USD (phụ thuộc vào công suất của nhà máy).

Chủ đầu tư của dự án này là 3 bên gồm Công ty Keppel Land Limited gọi tắt là Keppel Land (45% cổ phần), liên doanh với Hợp Tác Xã Dịch Vụ Nông nghiệp Đồng Nai và Công ty Liên doanh Quản lý Quỹ đầu tư chứng khoán Vietcombank (55% cổ phần). Đây chỉ là một phần của kế hoạch phát triển một khu đô thị mới trên diện tích 509 ha tại tỉnh Đồng Nai, cách TP HCM 28 km về hướng Đông Bắc của 3 liên doanh này.

Dự án có diện tích 193 ha với tổng kinh phí đầu tư ban đầu ước tính khoảng 357 triệu USD, được chia thành nhiều giai đoạn. Theo thỏa thuận, đối tác Việt Nam đóng góp đất còn Keppel Land sẽ chịu trách nhiệm thi công xây dựng công trình.

Khu đô thị Đồng Nai hướng tới đối tượng khách hàng thuộc tầng lớp trung lưu. Nơi đây gồm những căn hộ ven sông đi kèm dịch vụ thương mại và tiện ích công cộng sẽ chiếm diện tích khoảng hơn 2,6 triệu m2 sàn. Giai đoạn đầu tiên dự kiến sẽ triển khai vào năm 2009.

Về hạ tầng, dự kiến Keppel Land sẽ xây dựng giai đoạn 1 của sân bay quốc tế mới vào cuối năm 2007 và hoàn thành vào năm 2011. Đây sẽ là khu đô thị thứ hai của Keppel Land tại Việt Nam, sau dự án Saigon Sports City, kết hợp giữa nhà ở, khu thương mại và trung tâm thể thao tại Phường An Phú, Quận 2, TP HCM.

Nhà thầu liên danh Công ty Xây dựng thủy lợi Lâm Đồng và Công ty Thành Đạt TPHCM đang triển khai gói thầu số 2, trong 5 gói thầu xây lắp sửa chữa nâng cấp hạng mục đầu mối công trình hiện đại hóa hệ thống thủy lợi Dầu Tiếng (ảnh).

Công ty cổ phần dịch vụ hỗ trợ và phát triển đầu tư (IOC) vừa động thổ xây dựng khu du lịch Novotel Imperial Hội An Resort tại bãi biển Cửa Đại (Hội An), với tổng vốn đầu tư khoảng 300 tỷ đồng.

Các cổ đông chính góp vốn xây dựng là Công ty CP sân golf ngôi sao Chí Linh, ngân hàng Dầu khí Toàn cầu (G.P Bank) và ngân hàng Đại Dương (OCEAN Bank).

Khu du lịch có diện tích 4,3 ha, do tập đoàn khách sạn Accor quản lý, điều hành xây dựng trong 18 tháng và sẽ hoạt động vào cuối năm 2008 với 200 phòng nghỉ và khu biệt thự, hệ thống nhà hàng, bar, sân tennis, spa, hồ bơi, bãi biển riêng, các cửa hàng lưu niệm, hồ nuôi sinh vật biển… đạt tiêu chuẩn 4 sao.

Ông Trần Văn Thanh, phó giám đốc Sở Tài nguyên - môi trường tỉnh Sóc Trăng, cho biết Chính phủ vừa phê duyệt dự án xây dựng nhà máy xử lý chất thải rắn tại TP Sóc Trăng (tỉnh Sóc Trăng) với tổng vốn đầu tư 6.051.000 USD.

Trong đó, vốn vay tín dụng của Chính phủ Na Uy là 4.963.000 USD, còn lại là vốn đối ứng từ ngân sách của tỉnh.

Theo ông Thanh, kế hoạch trước đây dự án sẽ được triển khai tại bãi rác P.7, TP Sóc Trăng. Tuy nhiên, do khu vực này có rất đông dân cư và gần quốc lộ 1A thuộc tuyến đường tránh TP Sóc Trăng nên để tránh gây ô nhiễm môi trường, UBND tỉnh Sóc Trăng đã quyết định điều chỉnh qui hoạch. Theo đó, dự án sẽ được dịch chuyển ra khu vực giáp ranh huyện Mỹ Tú trên diện tích 7ha.

Ngày 27-7, ông Đinh Quốc Thái, Phó chủ tịch UBND tỉnh và đại diện một số sở, ngành liên quan đã tiếp đại diện Tập đoàn Jbic (Nhật Bản) về dự án đường cao tốc TP.Hồ Chí Minh - Long Thành - Dầu Giây. Sau giai đoạn khảo sát và tiến hành các thủ tục liên quan, đến nay dự án đường cao tốc này đã vào giai đoạn chuẩn bị giải phóng mặt bằng (dự kiến tiến hành giải tỏa mặt bằng vào tháng 8-2007). Đường cao tốc này có tổng chiều dài 55,5 km. Điểm đầu tại vị trí giao giữa đường Lương Định Của với đường trục Đông-Tây (phường An Phú, quận 2, TP.Hồ Chí Minh), điểm cuối tại khoảng lý trình km1829+800 quốc lộ 1A, cách ngã ba Dầu Giây khoảng 2,7km (hướng ra Hà Nội, thuộc xã Xuân Thạnh, huyện Thống Nhất, tỉnh Đồng Nai).

Dự án được tiến hành qua 2 giai đoạn. Giai đoạn 1: đầu tư xây dựng quy mô 4 làn xe với chiều rộng nền đường từ 25,5 - 27,5 mét, kinh phí đầu tư là 9.890,62 tỷ đồng. Giai đoạn hoàn chỉnh: có quy mô 8 làn xe, chiều rộng nền đường là 52,5 mét (đoạn qua Long Thành - Dầu Giây có 6 làn xe với chiều rộng mặt đường là 35 mét) với kinh phí đầu tư 18.884 tỷ đồng. Đầu tư chi phí cho giải phóng mặt bằng (đoạn qua địa phận Đồng Nai) là 446,69 tỷ đồng. Tổng công ty đầu tư phát triển đường cao tốc dự án TP.Hồ Chí Minh - Long Thành - Dầu Giây làm chủ đầu tư.

The building of part of the hydro-electric power plant, the construction of preventive flood walls, has been completed and is now ready for flood alerts and river water quality control, said Mr. Nguyen Trung Nhuong, Deputy Director of the corporation, in an interview by a Sai Gon Giai Phong reporter.

The plant, located in Dak Nong Province, is expected to produce 641.1 million kWh per year, with a total capacity of 144MW. In addition to its main dam, the plant also has three secondary dams and one canal.

Using water from Dong Nai River and other rivers and streams in the region, DakR’Tih will supply both electricity and water for thousands of hectares of vegetable farms, contributing greatly to the economic and social development of the Central Highlands area.

The Dakr’Tih project has a total investment capital of US$200 million provided by Construction Corporation No. 1, the National Development Support Fund and two French banks, BNP Paribas Private Banking and the Societe Generale Bank.

Mr. Nhuong said that by the end of March 2010, the project will be completed and will provide electricity for the national grid.

Tối 8.8, tại TP.HCM, 3 công ty TNHH Bờ Biển Dài, Miền Nhiệt Đới và Đông Nam Á đã cùng ký kết hợp tác đầu tư dự án xây dựng khu nghỉ dưỡng 5 sao Tropicana Island & Spa trên đảo Phú Quốc, Kiên Giang. Tổng vốn đầu tư của dự án là 68 triệu USD. Dự án sẽ hoàn thành vào cuối năm 2010, góp phần đưa đảo Phú Quốc trở thành trung tâm du lịch sinh thái tầm cỡ quốc tế.

Ngày 8/8, tại TP HCM, liên doanh ba công ty Long Beach Corp, ESACO và Tropicana đã công bố dự án đầu tư xây dựng khu nghỉ dưỡng cao cấp theo tiêu chuẩn 5 sao lớn nhất Việt Nam trên đảo Phú Quốc.

Dự án có tên gọi Tropicana Island Resort & Spa với tổng vốn đầu tư khoảng 68 triệu USD, tọa lạc trên khu đất rộng 30 ha tại mũi Đất Đỏ, ấp An Thới, huyện đảo Phú Quốc. Khu resort gồm hơn 100 villa và 250 phòng nghỉ cao cấp nằm trên sườn núi lẫn trên mặt nước hướng ra biển và mang đậm dấu ấn văn hóa Việt Nam.

Công trình sẽ được khởi công vào ngày 18/9 và hoàn thành vào cuối năm 2010.

TT (ĐỒNG NAI) - Chiều 23-11, UBND tỉnh Đồng Nai đã trao giấy chứng nhận đầu tư cho tám công ty trong và ngoài nước với tổng số vốn đầu tư đăng ký lên đến trên 1 tỉ USD.

Trong đó có những dự án lớn như dự án khu đô thị, du lịch (200ha) của Công ty cổ phần Vina Đại Phước có vốn đầu tư 400 triệu USD, Công ty TNHH Hưng Nghiệp Formosa (Đài Loan) tăng vốn đầu tư thêm 260 triệu USD, đưa tổng vốn của công ty này lên trên 950 triệu USD.

Công ty cổ phần Taekwang Vina Industrial (Hàn Quốc) xây dựng khu đô thị, dân cư có vốn đầu tư 290 triệu USD. Một công ty trong nước là Công ty Thành Hưng đầu tư 1.100 tỉ đồng xây dựng và kinh doanh nhà ở Nhơn Trạch.

Ngoài ra còn có một số dự án khác về xây dựng sân golf, thực phẩm, xây dựng cơ sở hạ tầng... Với số vốn mới này, từ đầu năm đến nay Đồng Nai đã thu hút được trên 2,3 tỉ USD vốn đầu tư trực tiếp nước ngoài.

New urban area for Binh Duong.

BINH DUONG — GuocoLand Binh Duong Property Co. Ltd, a wholly-owned subisidiary of the Singapore property developer GuocoLand Limited, broke ground yesterday on its maiden development project in Viet Nam.

The project, called The Canary, located on a prime 17.5 ha site in front of the Viet Nam-Singapore Industrial Park, some 17 km north of HCM City, is the first fully integrated development in Binh Duong Province.

The project will be divided into three phases, with the first phase attracting the total investment capital of US$58 million.

The Canary is slated for development of 1,200 apartments in a secure gated community, a trendy shopping mall, a hotel, an international school and other educational facilities. There would also be supporting commercial components, a sports complex and a host of recreational amenities.

Nguyen Hoang Son, chairman of the Binh Duong People’s Committee, said as the first integrated development in the province, The Canary’s presence would add to the prosperity of Binh Duong.

Lawrence Peh, General Manager of GuocoLand Viet Nam, the immediate holding company of GuocoLand Binh Duong Property Ltd, said: "With this positive experience, GuocoLand is committed to developing The Canary into a landmark development, which will transform the landscape of Binh Duong Province."

The Canary will soon launch the first phase of its residential component, which will soon be followed by the development of the first phase of the retail mall.

When The Canary is completed in the third quarter of 2009, it will add vibrancy to Binh Duong Province, which is a leading recipient of direct foreign investment among Viet Nam’s provinces, said Son. — VNS

Ngày 20-11, Công ty TNHH Bất động sản GuocoLand Bình Dương đã khởi công xây dựng khu đô thị liên hợp cao cấp The Canary tại khu công nghiệp Việt Nam-Singapore (VSIP).

Cách TP. HCM 16km, Khu đô thị The Canary được xây dựng trên diện tích 17,5 ha. Trong giai đoạn đầu, Khu đô thị này gồm ba cụm chung cư cao từ 8-12 tầng với khoảng 1.200 căn hộ cao cấp. Vốn đầu tư ban đầu cho dự án là 58 triệu đô la Mỹ.

Trong giai đọan tiếp theo, nhà đầu tư sẽ tập trung xây dựng một trung tâm thương mại hiện đại, khu thương mại bán lẻ, khách sạn tiêu chuẩn quốc tế và các tiện ích cơ sở hạ tầng phục vụ giáo dục như trường học quốc tế, tòa nhà văn phòng và khu liên hợp vui chơi giải trí thể thao hiện đại.

(TBKTSG Online) - Ngày 1-5, Liên hiệp hợp tác xã dịch vụ nông nghiệp Đồng Nai (DonaCoop) đã cùng các đối tác nước ngoài khởi công khu đô thị sinh thái Hưng Long tại huyện Long Thành, tỉnh Đồng Nai.

Ông Bùi Thanh Trúc, Chủ tịch HĐQT DonaCoop, cho biết dự án bao gồm khu đô thị sinh thái, khu tái định cư, cụm khách sạn và du lịch, các công trình công cộng; được thực hiện với nhiều giai đoạn.

Trong giai đoạn đầu cần khoảng hai tỉ đô la Mỹ, nhà đầu tư sẽ tập trung vào xây dựng tuyến đường Long Hưng-Phước Tân với tổng chiều dài gần 5,5 km, cầu An Hòa và đường Hương lộ 2 với chiều dài 6,4 km. Các công trình được xây dựng tiếp theo gồm khu tái định cư cho các gia đình bị ảnh hưởng của dự án và khu đô thị sinh thái mà DonaCoop sẽ phối hợp với các đối tác trong liên doanh gồm Công ty cổ phần An Phú Đông, và hai nhà đầu tư nước ngoài là Keppel Land và VinaCapital.

Hai nhà đầu tư nước ngoài sẽ góp khoảng 50% vốn cho dự án, và phần vốn còn lại sẽ do Công ty An Phú Đông và tất cả các thành viên của DonaCoop đóng góp.

Ông Trúc cho biết thêm là các thành viên của DonaCoop đã đồng ý nhượng lại phần đất nông nghiệp có năng suất thấp của họ theo giá thỏa thuận, và phần đất này chiếm 70% trong tổng diện tích 1.171 héc ta dành cho dự án.

Theo dự kiến, khu đô thị này sẽ được hoàn thành trong thời gian 15 năm và cần khoảng 10 tỉ đô la Mỹ để thực hiện toàn bộ các hạng mục. Dự án này nằm bên sông Đồng Nai, giáp với quận 9 (TPHCM) và gần với khu vực sẽ xây dựng sân bay quốc tế Long Thành trong tương lai.

Ông Linson Lim, Giám đốc đại diện của Keppel Land tại Việt Nam, cho biết Keppel Land đang mở rộng đầu tư vào Việt Nam. Hiện tại, doanh nghiệp Singapore này đã đầu tư khoảng ba tỉ đô la Mỹ vào 16 dự án về văn phòng, trung tâm bán lẻ, căn hộ cao cấp và khu đô thị tại các tỉnh, thành phố lớn như Hà Nội, TPHCM, Vũng Tàu và Đồng Nai.

A joint venture between Dong Nai-based Donacoop and its local and foreign partners yesterday began work on a billion -dollar property project consisting of a modern township in Long Thanh District, Dong Nai Province.

DonaCoop Chairman Bui Thanh Truc told the Daily after the ground-breaking ceremony that the property project by the Dong Nai River would be developed in phases within an expected period of 15 years, with nearly US$2 billion needed for the first phase.

Truc said the project comprised of an ecological township with friendly-environment buildings and houses with gardens, a resettlement area for affected families in Long Hung Commune, hotel and tourism facilities, and public works.

Truc said initial resources would focus on building An Hoa Bridge and Road No.2 of over 6,410 meters long and 60 meters wide, and Long Hung-Phuoc Tan Road with more than 5,480 meters long and 60 meters wide, and the resettlement area for the affected families.

Construction continues to move on other facilities of the project that DonaCoop develops with its joint venture local partner An Phu Dong Joint Stock Co. and foreign investors including Keppel Land's subsidiary Portsville Pte. and VinaCapital.

Truc said DonaCoop had selected Keppel Land and VinaCapital from more than 10 candidates as they had strong advantage of and experience in property investments, particularly in residential areas.

The foreign partners will contribute 50% of the projected capital, and the local partner and all DonaCoop members would cover the remaining investment of the property development covering more than 1,170 hectares of land and water areas.

Truc said DonaCoop members had agreed to contribute up to 70% of the total area of the project. He added that most of the land reserved for the project is low-yielding agricultural land on which local farmers can grow only one rice crop a year.

He estimated total investment capital of US$10 billion would be needed for the whole property project, which is located next to District 9 that is home to HCM City's Hi-Tech Park, and near the future Long Thanh International Airport in the southern province of Dong Nai.

True described the township as modern as or even better than the new urban town Phu My Hung in HCM City's District 7 once the township is in place in Long Hung, which is one of the poorest communes in Long Thanh District.

"We and our partners strive to build the township at least as modern as Phu My Hung because we develop the township later than the new urban town in HCMC, and take into account this town and other residential projects when making preparations for our project," True said.

Linson Lim, representative of Keppel Land in Vietnam, said the company would make use of its expertise in developing waterfront homes and large-scale townships, and combine local knowledge to turn the township in Dong Nai into a waterfront property landmark.

Urn said participating in the property project made another milestone of Keppel Land in Vietnam. He said Keppel Land had invested almost US$3 billion in 16 projects in different areas including offices, life-style retail development and quality apartments in Hanoi, HCM City, Vung Tau and Dong Nai.

He told the ground-breaking ceremony that Singapore-based Keppel Land would continue to explore opportunities and cooperation with many partners to expand investrnent in and further contribute to the development of Vietnam.

Vo Van Mot, chairman of Dong Nai Province, said the property project Long Thanh District would help develop infrastructure and establish links with other neighbouring localities.

He noted the non-State sector contributed much to the economic growth of 15.1% that the province registered last year.

I work in a Communication (PABX, Data networking, IPTV, etc) and Security (CCTV, Access Control, etc) provider/distributor/integrator.

I am looking for referrals who to contact in all these ongoing constructions. Of course, whenever I get the project, there's always a referral commission (to be discussed personally).

- Thông tin từ Bộ Kế hoạch - Đầu tư cho biết, có thể trong năm nay, một dự án đầu tư nước ngoài (FDI) 10 tỷ USD từ liên hợp các nhà đầu tư Mỹ và Canada sẽ được cấp phép. Đây có thể là dự án FDI lớn nhất từ trước đến nay của Việt Nam.

Theo ông Trương Văn Đoan, Thứ trưởng Bộ Kế hoạch - Đầu tư, các nhà đầu tư Mỹ và Canada sẽ góp vốn để đầu tư chủ yếu vào đảo Phú Quốc để thiết lập hạ tầng như đường, cảng... đồng thời đầu tư xây dựng hạ tầng một số khu vực ở Đồng bằng sông Cửu Long.

Hiện nay, về cơ bản, dự án này đã được Thủ tướng Chính phủ đồng ý, Bộ Kế hoạch - Đầu tư cũng đã đồng ý. Phía các nhà đầu tư cũng rất mong muốn sớm triển khai dự án. Nếu sớm hoàn tất các thủ tục, dự án được trình trong năm nay và sẽ triển khai ngay một số phần của dự án, như các tuyến đường, cơ sở hạ tầng ở Phú Quốc.

Trong khi đó, một dự án khác có số vốn đầu tư cực lớn là Dự án Khu du lịch Hồ Tràm tại Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu do Asian Coast Development Ltd (Canada) - gồm nhiều nhà đầu tư đến từ Mỹ và Canada - có số vốn đăng ký là 3,5 tỷ USD.

Dự án này cũng đã được cấp phép để xây dựng khu du lịch nghỉ dưỡng, các khách sạn 5 sao, khu thương mại, trung tâm hội nghị quốc tế, văn phòng - căn hộ, biệt thự cao cấp, sân golf, khu vui chơi giải trí có thưởng dành cho người nước ngoài... Dự kiến, dự án sẽ được khởi công trong tháng 5 này.

Bên cạnh hai dự án trên, trong buổi làm việc mới đây với đoàn 23 DN lớn của Mỹ, các nhà đầu tư Hoa Kỳ cũng mong muốn sớm được kinh doanh trong Dự án Nhiệt điện Mông Dương 1.000 MW. Nhà đầu tư mong muốn được phê duyệt dự án trong tháng 6 này để chuẩn bị, khởi công vào tháng 2 năm tới và cấp điện vào 2012.

Về dự án trên, Bộ Kế hoạch - Đầu tư cho biết, chắc chắn sẽ cấp phép trong năm nay và hy vọng đây là dự án có ý nghĩa trong việc khắc phục tình trạng thiếu năng lượng tại Việt Nam hiện nay.

TTO - Quyền chủ tịch UBND thị xã Bảo Lộc Nguyễn Văn Triệu đã xác nhận việc sẽ cho đập bỏ toàn bộ khu chợ chính tồn tại trên 40 năm ở giữa lòng thị xã này và thay thế bằng khu thương mại hiện đại, rộng trên 5ha.

Ông Triệu cho hay vào đầu tháng bảy tới, khu thương mại sẽ được khởi công xây dựng ở vùng đồi trà Hà Giang cách trung tâm thị xã chừng 1km với kinh phí đầu tư 50 tỉ đồng. Nhà đầu tư là Công ty Vinaconex 17 (TP.HCM).

Thỏa thuận giữa chính quyền với Công ty Vinaconex 17 là nhà đầu tư này phải bố trí lại 550 tiểu thương/550 sạp hàng bán buôn ở chợ cũ được vào thuê mặt bằng ở khu thương mại mới khi khu thương mại này hoàn thành sau hai năm (năm 2010).

Ông Triệu cũng cho biết chính quyền tỉnh Lâm Đồng đã chủ trương giao trọn mặt bằng rộng 1ha của khu chợ Bảo Lộc cũ sau khi đập bỏ cho Vinaconex 17 xây dựng một tòa tháp cao 15 tầng (công trình kiến trúc cao nhất thị xã) có công năng là khách sạn, văn phòng cho thuê với nguồn vốn đầu tư trên 200 tỉ đồng...

TP Cần Thơ: Chưa giải quyết cao ốc xây dựng sai qui hoạch

TT - Chiều 21-5, trong cuộc họp nghe báo cáo việc kiểm tra xây dựng công trình trung tâm thương mại dịch vụ tài chính và căn hộ Tây Nguyên (Tây Nguyên Plaza), ông Trần Thanh Mẫn - chủ tịch UBND TP Cần Thơ - vẫn chưa đưa ra kết luận xử lý sai phạm đối với công trình này.

Tuy nhiên, ông Mẫn đã chỉ đạo chủ đầu tư (Công ty TNHH Long Thịnh) "tự kiểm điểm" về những sai phạm, trong vòng 10 ngày phải có văn bản giải trình toàn bộ sự việc. Sau đó, UBND TP Cần Thơ sẽ có cuộc họp liên tịch với Thành ủy và HĐND TP để xem xét xử lý. Trước đó, trong cuộc họp ngày 16-1, ông Võ Thanh Tòng - chủ tịch UBND TP Cần Thơ lúc bấy giờ - cũng chưa đưa ra được hướng giải quyết tháo dỡ hay cho tồn tại đối với công trình này.

Công trình Tây Nguyên Plaza tọa lạc lô số 1 khu dân cư 11D (khu đô thị mới nam sông Cần Thơ, P.Phú Thứ, Q.Cái Răng). Công trình gồm hai khối cao ốc: khối A cao 18 tầng, khối B cao 15 tầng. Một khối đế kết nối giữ hai tòa cao ốc làm trung tâm thương mại, khu sinh hoạt công cộng, dịch vụ, bãi đậu xe. Tổng diện tích xây dựng là 5.196m2.

Tuy nhiên, khi chủ đầu tư xây dựng hai tòa cao ốc thì đơn vị quản lý (Ban quản lý khu đô thị nam Cần Thơ) đã phát hiện sai phạm. Cụ thể, xây dựng sai với qui hoạch được duyệt: mật độ xây dựng được duyệt cho khu dân cư 11D tối đa là 35% nhưng dự án lại xây dựng đến 55%, khoảng lùi xây dựng công trình được duyệt tối thiểu là 10m nhưng công trình xây dựng khoảng lùi chỉ 6m, xây dựng công trình chưa hoàn chỉnh hồ sơ pháp lý...

Ban quản lý khu nam Cần Thơ đã có nhiều công văn yêu cầu ngưng thi công (lúc này công trình đã bốn tầng) nhưng chủ đầu tư vẫn "ngó lơ”, đến khi Sở Xây dựng TP Cần Thơ trực tiếp kiểm tra thì công trình này đã "mọc" thêm bốn tầng nữa. Còn hiện tại, báo cáo trong cuộc họp chiều 21-5 công trình đã lên tới 12 tầng. "Mỗi khi kiểm tra thì công trình cao lên bốn tầng, chủ đầu tư đã "thoát ly" sự quản lý của cơ quan nhà nước. Nếu đập bỏ thì nhiều người cho rằng lãng phí lớn, nhưng theo tôi, mất niềm tin lại càng lãng phí hơn" - bà Trần Thị Kim Một, phó chủ tịch HĐND TP Cần Thơ, nói.

Phát biểu tại buổi Lễ, ông Thái Văn Mến cho biết Tập Đoàn Tân Tạo đã hoạt động tại TP.HCM trong gần 12 năm qua, trong lĩnh vực đầu tư kinh doanh cơ sở hạ tầng các khu công nghiệp, đô thị. Vào tháng 6/2007, Tập đoàn đã đến tỉnh Kiên Giang tìm hiểu cơ hội đầu tư, được sự quan tâm hỗ trợ, giúp đỡ của lãnh đạo Tỉnh ủy, UBND, các Sở ngành và địa phương các dự án: Trung tâm nhiệt điện Kiên Lương công suất 4.400MW, Khu đô thị công nghiệp Kiên Lương với diện tích 3.000 ha và dự án lấn biển đảo Hải Âu đến nay đã được Tỉnh chấp thuận. Tập đoàn Tân Tạo tập trung để triển khai xây dựng và phát triển thành công các dự án trên nhằm góp phần vào quá trình xây dựng và phát triển tỉnh Kiên Giang cũng như cả nước.
Ông Thái Văn Mến, Tổng giám đốc Tập đoàn Tân Tạo, phát biểu tại buổi Lễ.

Ông Mến cũng cho biết: “Cơ sở hạ tầng trên đảo Hải Âu được thiết kế, xây dựng theo tiêu chuẩn tiên tiến nhất phù hợp với khu đô thị, dịch vụ, nghỉ dưỡng cao cấp. Các tuyến đường giao thông được thiết kế bám sát hình dáng khu đất với bán kính cong hợp lý, tạo hình dáng các con đường uốn lượn mềm mại. Nguồn nước thải được đưa về nhà máy xử lý nước thải tập trung trước khi xả ra biển. Đối với các công trình dịch vụ công cộng được xây dựng kiên cố, màu sắc các công trình kiến trúc tạo điểm nhấn mỹ quan đô thị, đơn giản, hiện đại. Dự kiến sau chín năm dự án sẽ hoàn thành”.

Dự án Đảo Hải Âu (phường An Hoà, TP Rạch Giá, tỉnh Kiên Giang) nằm trong quy hoạch phát triển đô thị lấn biển của tỉnh Kiên Giang, được phê duyệt quy hoạch chi tiết xây dựng 1/2000 theo quyết định số: 1161/QĐ-UBND ngày 9/5/2008 của Ủy ban Nhân dân tỉnh với quy mô là 199,7ha vốn đầu tư cho xây dựng kè, san lắp và xây dựng cơ sở hạ tầng dự kiến là 1.488 tỷ đồng. Trong đó, vốn đầu tư xây dựng kè là 650 tỷ đồng, vốn đầu tư cho san lấp là 424 tỷ đồng.

Đảo Hải Âu xây dựng cách bờ kè hiện hữu thuộc khu đô thị mới lấn biển mở rộng thành phố Rạch Giá từ 172m đến 2.100m trải dài từ trục đường Lạc Hồng (nối dài) đến đường Phan Thị Ràng (nối dài). Đảo được thiết kế tạo dáng hình chim hải âu dang rộng đôi cánh bay hướng ra biển rộng. Nơi đây sẽ thu hút nhiều du khách đến TP Rạch Giá, với tiện ích công cộng phục vụ cho lễ hội, văn hoá du lịch, nghỉ dưỡng, dịch vụ thương mại và nhà ở cao cấp. Dự kiến quy hoạch của Đảo như sau:

- Đất khu nhà ở: 53,69ha, tỷ lệ 26,89%.

- Đất công trình dịch vụ công cộng: 58,49ha, tỷ lệ 29,29%.

- Đất công viên cây xanh, CLB, TDTT 33ha, tỷ lệ 16,52% .

- Đất giao thông: 53,09ha, tỷ lệ 26,58%.

- Đất công trình kỹ thuật đầu mối: 1,43ha, tỷ lệ 0,72%.

Dự kiến quy mô dân số trên đảo là 4.000 người, bình quân tiêu chuẩn đất ở là: 136,9m2/người

Nó nằm cuối đường Nguyễn Tất Thành - con đường trung tâm hành chánh của Phan Thiết và cả Bình Thuận. View xuống biển, khúc Đồi Dương. Bên kia đường là khu resort và khách sạn Novotel (nơi ông Nguyễn Tấn Dũng ở khi đến Bình Thuận). Nói chung khu này đẹp và thuận tiện giao thông. Tuy nhiên chạy xuống Mũi Né phải mất 22 km.

Phú Yên sẽ là cửa ngõ phát triển vùng Tây Nguyên

Từ nay đến năm 2020, Phú Yên, với nhu cầu vốn đầu tư khoảng 238 ngàn tỉ đồng, sẽ phấn đấu trở thành trung tâm du lịch, dịch vụ lớn trong khu vực và cả nước, là cửa ngõ mới ra hướng đông để phát triển vùng Tây Nguyên, đồng thời là một điểm nhấn quan trọng trong liên kết phát triển vùng giữa các tỉnh Tây Nguyên và duyên hải miền Trung.

Theo quy hoạch tổng thể phát triển kinh tế -xã hội tỉnh Phú Yên đến năm 2020 vừa được Thủ tướng Chính phủ phê duyệt, tỉnh duyên hải Nam Trung bộ này có một thành phố, hai thị xã và chín thị trấn.

Phú Yên sẽ tăng nguồn vốn đầu tư cho công nghiệp, ưu tiên phát triển các ngành công nghiệp có lợi thế, có hàm lượng kỹ thuật và công nghệ cao, giá trị gia tăng lớn để tạo bước phát triển đột phá, thúc đẩy nền kinh tế phát triển nhanh như: điện tử, lọc dầu, hóa dầu, đóng tàu, chế biến nông thủy sản, sản xuất điện, nước. Trong đó đặc biệt chú trọng dự án nhà máy lọc dầu công suất 4 triệu tấn/năm và các nhà máy hóa dầu.

Tỉnh sẽ hình thành cụm đầu mối giao thông đường sắt, đường hàng không, đường bộ Đông-Tây và là đầu mối giao thông lớn của khu vực duyên hải Nam Trung bộ và Tây Nguyên.

Tuyến đường sắt Phú Yên-Tây Nguyên qua Campuchia-Lào-Thái Lan sẽ được nghiên cứu xây dựng, tuyến đường sắt cao tốc Bắc-Nam giai đoạn 1 qua khu kinh tế Vân Phong (Khánh Hòa) đến Phú Yên sẽ là đầu mối tuyến đường sắt đi Tây Nguyên.

The topping out of the first building in Mapletree Logistics Park also saw Mapletree signing Letters of Intent (“LOI”) with six logistics customers for space in the soon to be opened park. As the only comprehensively planned logistics park in Binh Duong Province, Mapletree Logistics Park will house both non-bonded and bonded warehouses in a free trade zone. The first phase of Mapletree Logistics Park comprising 65,000 square metres of non-bonded warehousing space will be ready in November 2008. Hoa Sen Đại Phước tọa lạc tại khu đô thị mới Nhơn Trạch, có diện tích 200 ha, tổng vốn đầu tư trên 400 triệu USD. Dự án nằm trong tổng thể khu đô thị du lịch sinh thái Đại Phước, thuộc phần đất nam Cù lao ông Cồn, xã Đại Phước, cách trung tâm đô thị mới Thủ Thiêm, Quận 2 khoảng 10 km.

Theo thiết kế, Đại Phước là khu biệt thự hạng sang, resort, chung cư cao cấp, trung tâm thương mại và cao ốc văn phòng. Dự án cũng sẽ có các dịch vụ công cộng như trường học, nhà trẻ, bãi đậu xe, công viên cây xanh và sân golf 18 lỗ do một công ty Hàn Quốc làm chủ đầu tư.

Khi được vận hành, dự án sẽ kết nối với hạ tầng hiện đại của thành phố mới Nhơn Trạch, sân bay Long Thành, cũng như tiếp cận hệ thống cảng sông trong khu vực vùng kinh tế trọng điểm phía nam.

Hiện tại, dự án đã hoàn tất khâu đền bù và đang tiến hành san nền. Tháng 2/2008, Hoa Sen Đại Phước đã chính thức khởi công, thời gian hoàn tất án dự kiến là năm 2016.

Keppel Land has entered into a joint venture to develop a residential township on a 509-ha site in the fast growing Dong Nai Province, located just 28 km to the northeast of Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC).

The development will be Keppel Land’s second township in Vietnam, after the 64-ha Saigon Sports City in HCMC’s prime An Phu Ward district.

Leveraging the two-km frontage to the Dong Nai River, the vision for the site is that of a waterfront residential township comprising about 10,434 homes.

Targeted at the middle to upper-middle home buyers, the waterfront homes together with supporting commercial and public amenities will have a potential gross floor area of about 28 million sf.

The Dong Nai Township development is located next to District 9, where HCMC’s Hi-Tech Park, home to Intel’s new US$1 billion facility, is currently being developed. stop dreaming, i have not seen a single picture of the construction side of the new airport = 2011 is absolute unrealistic, they will start soonest 2015 when the EW highway is completed AND funds disbursed.

Thủ tướng vừa cho ý kiến về dự án Thành phố Sáng tạo Nam Tuy Hòa (tỉnh Phú Yên), theo đề xuất của Công ty Galileo Investment Group Inc (Hoa Kỳ).

Dự án có tổng diện tích đất sử dụng khoảng 7.656 ha, quy hoạch dọc hai bên bờ sông Ba với mục tiêu trở thành siêu đô thị năng động, hiện đại, hoạt động trong nhiều lĩnh vực công nghệ cao, đào tạo nguồn nhân lực chất lượng cao, phát triển các lĩnh vực điện ảnh, công nghệ thông tin, giáo dục.

Hình thức đầu tư dự án là 100% vốn nước ngoài, tổng vốn đầu tư khoảng 11,4 tỉ USD, được phân kỳ theo ba giai đoạn, chủ yếu đầu tư phát triển cơ sở hạ tầng, làm đòn bẩy để thu hút các nhà đầu tư, doanh nghiệp.

Thủ tướng hoan nghênh ý tưởng và tầm nhìn dài hạn của nhà đầu tư. Tuy nhiên, theo Thủ tướng, dự án cần được chuẩn bị lại theo hướng: thời hạn hoạt động 50 năm phù hợp với quy định của pháp luật hiện hành, nội dung đầu tư chủ yếu hướng vào phát triển cơ sở hạ tầng khu trung tâm thành phố, khu thung lũng điện tử và một số hạng mục công trình phụ trợ đến năm 2015, với quy mô đầu tư khoảng 2 tỉ USD.

Trường hợp nhà đầu tư chấp thuận đầu tư thực hiện dự án theo nội dung và quy mô nêu trên, Thủ tướng đồng ý chủ trương cấp giấy chứng nhận đầu tư. Việc tiếp tục xem xét cho phép mở rộng quy mô đầu tư theo đề xuất của nhà đầu tư sẽ căn cứ trên cơ sở đánh giá, tổng kết tính khả thi và hiệu quả đầu tư dự án giai đoạn 1.

Singapore's Banyan Tree (BANY.SI), a developer of luxury resorts, said on Saturday it will build a large resort near the historical Vietnamese city of Hue at an estimated cost of $900 million.

When fully developed, the 280-hectare beachfront resort will comprise seven hotels with a total of 2,000 rooms, a golf course, residences and convention facilities.

The resort is about one hour's drive from Hue, an ancient imperial capital in central Vietnam and a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) heritage site.

The first phase of the project, comprising two hotels, the golf course and residences, is expected to open in 2012 and will cost around $200 million, the Singapore firm said in a statement.

It added that the development will be funded by the $283 million Banyan Tree Indochina Hospitality Fund which was set up last year. The fund was successfully closed in June this year.

Banyan Tree manages or owns 26 hotels and resorts in Asia, most of them under the Banyan Tree and Angsana brandnames.

The firm has been expanding aggressively in recent years and is in the process of opening resorts in Bali, Indonesia; Hangzhou, China; Acapulco, Mexico; and Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates.

TT - Bộ Xây dựng và nhóm chuyên gia tư vấn đến từ Hoa Kỳ vừa đề xuất quy hoạch đảo Phú Quốc với nhiều thay đổi so với trước đây. Liệu quy hoạch lần này có xáo trộn các dự án được tỉnh chấp thuận trước đó? Trao đổi với Tuổi Trẻ, ông Bùi Ngọc Sương - chủ tịch UBND tỉnh Kiên Giang - cho biết:

- Chính phủ xác định Phú Quốc sắp tới là khu hành chính đặc biệt, điểm du lịch sinh thái tầm cỡ khu vực và quốc tế, có vị trí đặc biệt trong quốc phòng và an ninh. Vì vậy, quy hoạch trước đây (năm 2005) đã lạc hậu. Quan điểm điều chỉnh lần này với tầm nhìn dài hạn có tính chất hàng trăm năm, vì vậy Chính phủ giao trách nhiệm cho Bộ Xây dựng, UBND tỉnh Kiên Giang thuê nhà tư vấn nước ngoài làm quy hoạch đảo Phú Quốc đến năm 2030 và tầm nhìn sau năm 2030.

* Cụ thể đơn vị tư vấn đề xuất quy hoạch khác với trước thế nào, thưa ông?

- Đơn vị tư vấn thiết kế WATG (Hoa Kỳ) đưa ra đề xuất quy hoạch Phú Quốc thành năm khu chức năng chính: khu đô thị, khu rừng quốc gia, rừng phòng hộ, khu du lịch, giao thông. Trong khu đô thị (ba khu) được quy hoạch thì khu thành phố Dương Đông (thị trấn Dương Đông hiện nay) có quy mô lớn nhất 2.115ha.

Khu này tập hợp các công trình xây dựng mật độ “nén”, cao tầng nhằm tạo quỹ đất các khu còn lại, tạo sự cân bằng lâu dài giữa các khu vực xây dựng và không gian mở, góp phần giữ lại đất nông nghiệp và nông thôn. Các khu du lịch đa số được quy hoạch tại các vị trí “vàng” của đảo như khu vực bãi Trường, bãi Vòng, bãi Dài, bãi Sao, bãi Thơm. Các công trình khác như cảng, khu công nghiệp, sân golf, casino... cũng được đặt tại nhiều vị trí khác nhau trên đảo dựa trên cơ sở phân khu chức năng. Quy mô dân số theo quy hoạch dự kiến là 540.000 dân.

* Việc điều chỉnh quy hoạch lần này có ảnh hưởng như thế nào đối với các dự án đang triển khai trước đó?

- Mức độ ảnh hưởng đối với các dự án hiện nay là có nhưng không nhiều. Hiện có một số dự án tỉnh đã chấp thuận chủ trương, có dự án đã cấp phép đầu tư rồi và trong số ấy có những dự án đang triển khai. Rất may các dự án đang triển khai hiện nay chủ yếu là các dự án nhỏ, còn các dự án lớn họ đang chờ cơ sở hạ tầng. Khi nào cơ sở hạ tầng hoàn chỉnh thì các dự án lớn của Tập đoàn Tructsse (Thụy Sĩ), dự án Công ty TNHH Starbay VN (thuộc Tập đoàn Starbay Holding Ltd, Vương quốc Anh)... mới tiến hành.

Theo đề xuất của nhà tư vấn, sẽ sắp xếp lại các khu chức năng hợp lý: khu vực nào dành phát triển du lịch, khu vực nào dành để vui chơi, khu vực nào dành cho các nhà đầu tư nhỏ... Vì vậy căn cứ vào tính chất và quy mô của từng dự án, nếu dự án nhỏ chúng tôi gom lại, các nhà đầu tư lớn thì đưa vào khu vực hợp lý.

* Phú Quốc nổi tiếng với tiềm năng rừng và biển, những thế mạnh này được “đối xử” như thế nào trong quy hoạch tổng thể của đảo?

- Phú Quốc hiện nay quý nhất là hệ sinh thái biển, rừng và cảnh quan thiên nhiên. Hiện rừng, biển cũng có khoanh vùng bảo tồn. Cái chính hiện nay chúng tôi lưu ý chuyên gia tư vấn là quy hoạch làm sao để những khu vực bảo tồn ấy cũng có thể “ngắm” được. Chẳng hạn đối với rừng có thể cho khách tham quan vào ban ngày, biển thì cho du khách lặn ngắm... Quan điểm của tỉnh là có những khu vực bảo tồn có thể khai thác du lịch, nhưng dứt khoát không được làm tổn thương!

* Trong quy hoạch lần này đã xuất hiện một số ý kiến khác nhau về việc chọn địa điểm xây dựng casino trên đảo, quan điểm của tỉnh như thế nào?

- Theo đề xuất của đơn vị tư vấn, Phú Quốc sẽ có một casino, vị trí đặt ở bãi Trường. Tuy nhiên qua ý kiến của nhiều nhà khoa học, nhà đầu tư thì khu vực này đặt casino không hợp lý. Chúng tôi sẽ làm việc lại với đơn vị tư vấn xem vị trí đặt casino nơi nào cho hợp lý hơn. Phú Quốc có được phép mở casino hay không thì tỉnh cũng đang chờ xin thêm ý kiến các bộ, ngành. Hiện mới có Bộ Quốc phòng và Bộ Xây dựng đồng thuận cho phép mở casino. Trong tuần tới tỉnh sẽ làm văn bản xin ý kiến Bộ Tài chính, sau đó trình Thủ tướng quyết định. Quan điểm của tỉnh là Phú Quốc cần có một điểm casino để làm phong phú thêm sản phẩm du lịch.

* Có thông tin hiện đã có nhiều nhà đầu tư xin được đầu tư casino, thưa ông?

- Đúng là nhiều nhà đầu tư đã có văn bản gửi tỉnh xin được đầu tư casino. Phần lớn là những nhà đầu tư nước ngoài, họ đều là những tập đoàn có tiềm lực kinh tế mạnh. Có nhà đầu tư đã cam kết nếu được chấp thuận họ sẽ bỏ tiền đầu tư hạ tầng điện, nước từ đất liền ra đảo. Tuy nhiên, chúng tôi chưa thể hứa hẹn với họ điều gì vì phải chờ Thủ tướng quyết định.

* Hiện công tác xây dựng hạ tầng của đảo đã được triển khai đến đâu, thưa ông?

- Chính phủ và tỉnh đang tập trung nguồn vốn tiến hành làm sân bay, đường giao thông trên đảo và hàng loạt công trình hạ tầng khác. Cụ thể sân bay Dương Tơ (khởi công tháng 11-2008) đang thi công san nền khối lượng đạt gần 50%. Dự kiến có thể đưa vào khai thác giữa năm 2012 hoặc quý 3-2012. Các đường xuyên đảo, quanh đảo cũng đang tiến hành làm. Còn tuyến trục chính bắc - nam đảo, đây là tuyến xương sống của đảo cũng dự kiến làm trong năm 2009, các đường nhánh sẽ làm sau đó. Nguồn điện thì Chính thủ đã đồng ý cho Tập đoàn Than và khoáng sản làm nhà máy nhiệt than hiện đang chuẩn bị đầu tư; tuyến cáp ngầm xuyên biển Hà Tiên - Phú Quốc cũng sẽ triển khai sau dự án nhà máy nhiệt điện than...

Nhà đầu tư PoloBeach International Ltd (Mỹ) đã chính thức đề xuất Dự án khu đô thị du lịch Cali biển, với tổng vốn đầu tư khoảng 4,5 tỷ USD lên các cơ quan chức năng của Việt Nam để xin chủ trương đầu tư. Theo kế hoạch, PoloBeach sẽ triển khai dự án khu đô thị du lịch biển phức hợp, với nhiều hạng mục như khu vui chơi giải trí, khu nghỉ dưỡng, nhà hàng, khách sạn… tại xã Hòa Thắng, huyện Bắc Bình, tỉnh Bình Thuận trên diện tích đất khoảng 943 ha.

Được biết, PoloBeach đã chuẩn bị dự án này từ cách đây hai năm. UBND tỉnh Bình Thuận cũng đã chấp thuận về chủ trương cho PoloBeach thực hiện dự án này, tuy nhiên yêu cầu nhà đầu tư khi xây dựng dự án phải quan tâm tới đặc điểm khí hậu và điều kiện tự nhiên của khu vực này, đặc biệt là việc cung cấp nước cho dự án. Cùng với đó, phải nghiên cứu cụ thể kiến trúc, mặt bằng dự án sao cho hài hòa, gắn kết quy hoạch chung của khu vực và cộng đồng dân cư, tránh ảnh hưởng tiêu cực đến cảnh quan, kiến trúc của các dự án khác.

em cũng nghe thấy lần đầu đó,không biết anh kiva search đâu được dự án lớn thế,cái này nằm gần saigon,sẽ dễ update hơn,hehe,nói là khởi công trong tháng này,nhưng không biết có tiến triển nhiều không,chỉ mong đừng giống như hưng điền new town là được,dù sao đồng nai có dự án lớn như thế là điều đáng mừng^^ vậy là vũng tàu,đồng nai,bình dương,tp.hcm đều có những dự án cực lớn,hehe:cheers:

Dự án đô thị Đông Sài Gòn tọa lạc tại trung tâm đô thị mới Nhơn Trạch, nằm cạnh các trục đường giao thông chính của vùng như đường cao tốc TPHCM - Long Thành - Dầu Giây, cầu đường quận 9 (TPHCM) – Nhơn Trạch, đường cao tốc Biên Hòa - Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu, các đường 25B, 25C nối trung tâm thành phố Nhơn Trạch với với sân bay quốc tế Long Thành trong tương lai.

Ông Nguyễn Hiếu Lộc, Giám đốc công ty cho biết trong giai đoạn một, khu đô thị Đông Sài Gòn có diện tích 759 héc ta, trong đó đã đền bù và nộp tiền sử dụng đất 568 héc ta.

Khu đô thị này sẽ có nhiều loại hình nhà ở, các cơ sở y tế, giáo dục, công trình thương mại, dịch vụ... được xây dựng đồng bộ, hoàn chỉnh, có quy mô dân số 150.000 người. Tổng vốn khi dự án đầu tư hoàn chỉnh là 6 tỉ đô la Mỹ, trong đó 220 triệu đô la đầu tư hạ tầng.

Tại lễ động thổ, Công ty cổ phần đầu tư Nhơn Trạch đã ký với Ngân hàng Dầu khí toàn cầu (GP Bank) phát hành trái phiếu doanh nghiệp đợt đầu trị giá 1.000 tỉ đồng để thu hút vốn cho dự án. Ông Tạ Bá Long, Chủ tịch GP Bank cho biết ngân hàng của ông còn cam kết tài trợ vốn trong quá trình thực hiện dự án.

Sau khi hình thành Khu đô thị sinh thái Nam Tam Phú - Giai đoạn 1 sẽ: Phục vụ tái định cư cho các hộ bị giải tỏa do ảnh hưởng bởi các dự án đầu tư xây dựng các công trình cơ sở hạ tầng kỹ thuật và hạ tầng xã hội trên địa bàn thành phố, đáp ứng nhu cầu nhà ở cho người dân TP. Tam Kỳ và tỉnh Quảng Nam, thiết lập các mảng xanh thiên nhiên, góp phần cải thiện đời sống người dân qua việc chuyển dịch kinh tế, tạo nhiều công ăn việc làm mới, tạo động lực phát triển nhanh toàn bộ khu vực phía đông bắc đô thị Tam Kỳ về phía sông Bàn Thạch và biển Đông. Đồng thời, là khớp nối hạ tầng kỹ thuật các dự án quy hoạch có liên quan trong tổng thể thành phố Tam Kỳ hiện tại và Khu đô thị sinh thái Nam Tam Phú trong tương lai.

Cái này chắc xây ở đường Trần Hưng Đạo, đường này là trung tâm hành chính, kinh tế của TP Phan Thiết.

Như vậy là sau Diamond Hotel, Phan Thiết sẽ có thêm 1 tòa nhà nữa cao hơn 10 tầng.

Ngày 9/9, Tập đoàn Phú Cường khởi công dự án thành phố biển Phú Cường với tổng giá trị đầu tư trên 11.500 tỷ đồng.

Ngày 9/9, tại khu vực IV và V khu lấn biển thành phố Rạch Giá, tỉnh Kiên Giang, Tập đoàn Phú Cường khởi công dự án thành phố biển Phú Cường với tổng giá trị đầu tư trên 11.500 tỷ đồng.

Ông Nguyễn Việt Cường, Chủ tịch Hội đồng quản trị, kiêm Tổng Giám đốc Tập đoàn Phú Cường cho biết, khi hoàn thành, khu đô thị mới phức hợp rộng 146ha ven biển này sẽ là khu đô thị cao cấp, gồm các khu thương mại, dịch vụ công cộng, phục vụ nhu cầu tại chỗ của các khu biệt thự nghỉ dưỡng và du khách đến Kiên Giang.

Đây cũng là nơi hội tụ nhiều tiềm năng phát triển về kinh tế, nông lâm thuỷ hải sản, văn hóa du lịch; kết nối với Phú Quốc, Hà Tiên, hình thành trục tam giác kinh tế quan trọng của Kiên Giang và cả nước.

Dự kiến, đến năm 2015 dự án sẽ hoàn thành.

Nhân dịp này, Tập đoàn Phú Cường hỗ trợ tỉnh Kiên Giang 50 tỷ đồng để xây dựng tuyến đường mang tên Anh hùng liệt sỹ Phan Thị Ràng tại huyện Hòn Đất.

Sacom thuê Swiss-Belhotel quản lý khách sạn

Sáng ngày 2/10/2009, CTCP Cáp và Vật liệu viễn thông (Sacom - mã CK: SAM) chính thức ký hợp đồng thuê Tập đoàn Swiss-Belhotel International Hotels & Resorts (Hồng Kông) quản lý hai khách sạn tiêu chuẩn 5 sao và 4 sao thuộc dự án Sacom Resort do Sacom làm chủ đầu tư tại Khu du lịch hồ Tuyền Lâm (Đà Lạt).

Sacom Resort được xây dựng trên diện tích 270 héc-ta tại khu vực trung tâm của Khu du lịch hồ Tuyền Lâm.

Ông Đỗ Văn Trắc, Tổng giám đốc Sacom, cho biết, dự án Sacom Resort đang được triển khai đúng tiến độ, hiện đã hoàn thành 7 lỗ golf và dự kiến đến đầu năm 2010 sân golf bắt đầu bán thẻ và có doanh thu. Ông Trắc cũng cho biết, HĐQT Sacom đã thống nhất thành lập CTCP Sacom-Resort Đà Lạt với vốn điều lệ 500 tỷ đồng, trong đó Sacom chiếm 51%; Công ty Giày Thái Bình chiếm 10% và 39% còn lại do các cổ đông khác đóng góp.

Về tình hình sản xuất - kinh doanh, ông Trắc cho biết, 9 tháng đầu năm 2009, Sacom đạt 230 tỷ đồng lợi nhuận trước thuế và dự kiến lợi nhuận cả năm có thể đạt 270 tỷ đồng (so với kế hoạch 140 tỷ đồng). Sacom cũng vừa thông báo tạm chia cổ tức đợt 1/2009 là 10%, thời gian chi trả đầu tháng 11/2009.

Đồng Nai cấp phép dự án xây khu đô thị 2 tỉ đô la

Theo Giám đốc Sở Kế hoạch và Đầu tư tỉnh Đồng Nai Bồ Ngọc Thu, dự án nói trên là dự án xây dựng khu trung tâm thành phố mới Nhơn Trạch, được cấp giấy chứng nhận đầu tư sau khi Thủ tướng Chính phủ đã chấp thuận chủ trương cho Công ty Berjaya Leisure (Cayman) Ltd đầu tư 100% vốn.

Dự án có vốn đầu tư khoảng 2 tỉ đô la Mỹ này sẽ được triển khai trên diện tích khu đất rộng 600 héc ta của các xã Long Tân, Vĩnh Thanh, Phước An của huyện Nhơn Trạch.

Đây là dự án đầu tư thứ hai của Berjaya trên địa bàn tỉnh Đồng Nai được cấp phép và cũng là dự án đầu tư có vốn nước ngoài lớn nhất ở Đồng Nai tính từ đầu năm đến nay.

Cách đây hơn một năm, Công ty TNHH Berjaya D2D - một liên doanh giữa Berjaya Leisure Cayman và một công ty trong nước - Công ty Phát triển Đô thị Công nghiệp 2 (D2D) đã khởi công dự án bất động sản lớn trị giá 100 triệu đô la Mỹ tại thành phố Biên Hòa, tỉnh Đồng Nai. Dự án bao gồm một khách sạn 5 sao, 22 tầng, 263 phòng, một cao ốc văn phòng 20 tầng, một cao ốc chung cư cao cấp 20 tầng với 448 căn hộ và một trung tâm thương mại 3 tầng.

Bên cạnh hai dự án nói trên, Berjaya hiện cũng là chủ đầu tư của các dự án bất động sản lớn khác tại TPHCM và Hà Nội.
