First of all, have you visit the Place.

It isnt only just about Luxs, The Complex is about Divesity of Shopping, Learning, entertainment and lifestyle experience which offering to visitor a lot more than just Gucci, Burberry or Jimmy Choo.

There are numerous local brands, Average goods and general stores that Middle class people can affords such as Jaspal, HARNN, GRAYHOUND, FLYNOW or even MK GOLD that lifted up their image from Normal Sukiyaki Place.

It's not just about opening new outlet, It's about repositioning, It's about refocussing and uplifting the coporate images other than just look at the sales target.

Do you think people just gonna walk around the shopping complex and decide that they gonna just pick up some Lamborghini today?, No, but why they open the showrooms there? Ofcouse it's because to manage and spreading the brand knowlegability and connection to those who visit the shops.

Hmmmm.. I am thinking of buying a new Ferrai tomorrow!! :D

For me, after visited there several times, I find it very impressive, not all that great, but impressive.

I'm one of the lo-so middle class Thai and not into those luxurious brandnames and restaurants (You know, most of them I don't even heard of, 555 maybe I'm too lo-so :hahano: and I don't think I can afford)

But, as Chad said about its diversity, I still can find somethind that I can afford among those luxurious things. hehe That's good for me.

I have never tried nor seen Tony Roma in Singapore but i heard their ribs are well known in the farang country. Probably KennyRoger's alike.
Ducati is not hi-so in Singapore. It is more like flashie bikes for trouble-making youngsters. Anyway, they are passe in my country.
Never heard of Jimmy Choo in my life. Not until last nite after touring SOW, my teerak pointed the shop name to me and ask who is he? I have no idea. Anyway, their staffs don lime-green uniform and the shop carries mainly lady bags/purse.

If there is such a big budget for SP, please pay someone to come up with an English - or French or Italian - phrase that actually means something. in my opinion, the Siam Paragon in Bangkok (even with some cheesy English language ads----who writes those ads anyway?!? :gossip: :omg: ) when fully opened will beat the sh*t out of any malls in Singapore (Ngee Ann Takashimaya, Suntec, Raffles, what?) , Hong Kong (Pacific Place, Landmark, Ocean Terminal, what?), Taipei (Living Mall, Taipei 101 Mall, what?), Kuala Lumpur (Suria KLCC Petronas Mall, what?) or Manila (Glorietta, Shangri-La Mall, SM MegaMall, what?) :tongue4: :tongue2: :nuts: :hammer: :fart: I visited ALL of them and more in 2005 :dizzy:

As the plan that I've got from the staffs at Royal Paragon Hall, the Orangery open well escalators would lead up to Royal Paragon Hall information/reception areas, the ones going up infront of Paragon department store (north lobby) would lead you up to Royal Paragon Hall Information 2 (incase they have 2 seperate events going on at the same time) and the one in Exotique Thai would lead you up to SIAM OPERA which would open in 2008 (as i was told by the staff at Royal Paragon) and the one in the star dome (round openwell for the OCEAN WORLD with Small LED Screens and Kinokuniya) would lead you upto PARAGON CINEPLEX box-office and lobby area.

three seperate halls - Paragon HallOne 2300 sqm Height 8M
ParagonHallTwo&Three can be linked together but not 1,2,3 together

Paragon hall 2+3 have a total area of 5500 sqm Height 12.5M - Arranged in Theatre could accomodate 5200 patrons in theatre or 300 exhibits booths

They're also a seperate VIP lift for Royal Paragon/Siam Opera celebrity's uses but, the entrance / access to these lifts remains secret


For the PARAGON CINEPLEX it is designed by Rockwell Groups and does look like the Kodak Theatre : that;s all i can tell you - so stay tuned for PARAGON CINEPLEX opening on the 29th of January and Royal Paragon hall on the 7th of February

เอเอฟพี - การแข่งขันเพื่อชิงความเป็นหนึ่งในด้านสวรรค์ของการชอปปิงแห่งเอเชีย กำลังทวีความร้อนแรงยิ่งขึ้น หลังบรรดาเมืองใหญ่ทั่วภูมิภาค ตั้งแต่กรุงเทพฯ, ฮ่องกง, สิงคโปร์ และกัวลาลัมเปอร์ ต่างเร่งปรับปรุงย่านค้าปลีกชื่อดังของตน เพื่อดึงดูดสินค้าแบรนด์เนม ล่อใจนักชอปกระเป๋าหนักจากทั่วโลก

รายงานล่าสุด พบว่า เหล่าดินแดนซึ่งถูกยกให้เป็นฮับของการชอปปิงในเอเชีย ต่างกำลังเดินหน้าเทงบประมาณหลายร้อยล้านดอลลาร์ เพื่อแปลงโฉมย่านค้าปลีกหลักของตน ด้วยหวังว่า จะสามารถช่วยดึงดูดนักท่องเที่ยวให้เดินทางเข้าประเทศได้มากยิ่งขึ้นในอนาคต

เมื่อเดือนธันวาคมที่ผ่านมา กรุงเทพฯสร้างความฮือฮาด้วยการเปิดตัวสยามพารากอน ห้างสรรพสินค้าที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ ท่ามกลางความพยายามในการยกระดับแหล่งชอปปิงของไทย ควบคู่ไปกับวัดวาอาราม และชายหาดต่างๆ เพื่อดึงดูดนักท่องเที่ยวต่างชาติจากแดนชอปปิงคู่แข่งที่มีศักยภาพเหนือกว่าอย่างฮ่องกง และสิงคโปร์

ขณะเดียวกัน รัฐบาลสิงคโปร์ ก็ยังคงอยู่ในช่วงผลักดันแผนยกเครื่องถนนออร์ชาร์ดโรด อันโก้หรูของตนให้กลายเป็น "หนึ่งในถนนชอปปิงที่ใหญ่ที่สุดของโลก" ส่วนบอร์ดการท่องเที่ยวฮ่องกง ได้โหมประชาสัมพันธ์เกาะของตนด้วยการสร้างภาพให้เป็น "สวรรค์ของเหล่านักชอป" ไปเรียบร้อยแล้ว

กระทรวงการท่องเที่ยวแดนเสือเหลือง แถลงว่า เทศกาลลดกระหน่ำ "มาเลเซียเมกะเซลคาร์นิวัล" ซึ่งจะจัดขึ้นครั้งต่อไปในเดือนกรกฎาคม-กันยายนปีนี้ สามารถทำเงินได้ 1,350 ล้านดอลลาร์ เมื่อปีที่ผ่านมา หรือเพิ่มขึ้นจากหนึ่งปีก่อนหน้านั้น 8 เปอร์เซนต์ โดยลูกค้าราวร้อยละ 30 เป็นชาวต่างชาติ ส่วนใหญ่มาจากแถบตะวันออกกลาง

พารากอนฟุ้งนักช็อปเพียบ แห่เข้าทะลุแสนคนต่อวัน

"สยามพารากอน" มั่นใจผลประกอบการเข้าเป้า หลังเปิดบริการเดือนเศษยอดคนเข้าทะลุ 1 แสนคนต่อวัน ชี้รอครบ 6 เดือนฟันธงลูกค้าเป้าหมายตัวจริง ลั่นมั่นใจสิ้นปียอดขายทะลุ 1 หมื่นล้านอย่างแน่นอน เพราะมีปัจจัยบวกเพียบ ขณะที่เศรษฐกิจผันผวนไม่ส่งผลต่อกำลังซื้อกลุ่มนักช้อปกระเป๋าหนัก

นางลักขณา นะวิโรจน์ กรรมการบริหาร บริษัท พารากอน ดีพาร์ทเม้นท์ สโตร์ จำกัด เปิดเผยกับ "ฐานเศรษฐกิจ" ว่า การเปิดให้บริการของสยามพารากอนตั้งแต่วันที่ 9 ธค.ที่ผ่านมาประสบความสำเร็จได้รับความสนใจจากลูกค้าเป็นอย่างดี โดยเห็นได้จากจำนวนลูกค้าที่เข้ามาเดินภายในศูนย์ ซึ่งเฉลี่ยอยู่ที่ 1 แสนคนต่อวัน เป็นไปตามเป้าหมายที่วางไว้ แต่ทั้งนี้ยังไม่สามารถระบุได้ว่าเป็นกลุ่มลูกค้าที่ตรงกับกลุ่มเป้าหมายที่สยามพารากอนวางไว้หรือไม่ จำเป็นจะต้องรอดูและรวบรวมข้อมูลไปอีกระยะหนึ่ง เนื่องจากกระแสการเปิดศูนย์ซึ่งเป็นศูนย์ที่มีขนาดใหญ่และมีส่วนประกอบมากมาย ทำให้เป็นที่น่าสนใจและดึงดูดให้คนจำนวนมากเดินทางเข้ามาดูและซื้อสินค้า

อย่างไรก็ดีคาดว่าจะใช้เวลาประมาณ 6 เดือนในการรวบรวมข้อมูล ซึ่งบริษัทเชื่อว่าจุดแข็งเรื่องของทำเลที่อยู่ใจกลางเมือง ทำให้สะดวกในการมาซื้อสินค้า และมีเส้นทางการจราจรที่สะดวก จะทำให้จำนวนลูกค้าที่เข้ามาซื้อสินค้ามีความถี่มากกว่าห้างอื่น

"การเปิดให้บริการของสยามพารากอนถือว่าอยู่ในช่วงเทค ออฟ อีกทั้งการเปิดให้บริการยังไม่ครบถ้วน 100% เพียงอีกแค่ไม่กี่วันก็จะเปิดให้บริการครบ ซึ่งเวลานั้นจะทำให้สยามพารากอนเป็นศูนย์การค้าที่ครบครันมากที่สุด และจะสามารถรองรับลูกค้าในกลุ่มระดับกลางขึ้นไปถึงระดับบน โดยเป้าหมายของกลุ่มลูกค้าของสยามพารากอนเราไม่ได้ตั้งเป้าที่ลูกค้าระดับพรีเมี่ยมเพียงอย่างเดียว แต่เราต้องการกลุ่มลูกค้าที่หลากหลายรวมถึงกลุ่มระดับแมสขึ้นไปด้วย โดยคิดเป็นสัดส่วนระดับแมส 40% และพรีเมี่ยม 60% ซึ่งลูกค้าของสยามพารากอนจะมีทั้งคนไทยและต่างประเทศ ในสัดส่วน 70 : 30" นางลักขณากล่าวและว่า

สำหรับยอดขายในช่วงแรกจนถึงเดือนมกราคม 2549 คาดว่าสยามพารากอนจะมียอดขาย 900 ล้านบาท ซึ่งใกล้เคียงกับเป้าหมายที่ตั้งไว้ ในปีแรกจะมียอดขาย 10,000 ล้านบาท โดยแต่ละแผนกจะมีการจัดกิจกรรมส่งเสริมการขายเพื่อกระตุ้นยอดขายอย่างต่อเนื่อง ไม่ว่าจะเป็น พารากอน กรูเม่ร์ มาร์เก็ต ที่จัดแคมเปญแรก "ช้อปรับโชค" เพื่อร่วมฉลองเปิดสยามพารากอน ทำให้พารากอน กรูเม่ร์ มียอดขาย 55 ล้านบาท สูงกว่าที่คาดการณ์ไว้ ทำให้บริษัทมีแผนที่จะขยายแคมเปญออกไปอีกเป็นครั้งที่2 รวมถึงการจัดซีซั่นนอล แคมเปญ ตามเทศกาลต่างๆ อาทิ เทศกาลตรุษจีน วาเลนไทน์

ทั้งนี้ในช่วงไตรมาสแรกของปีนี้ คาดว่าจะมีกิจกรรมส่งเสริมการขายมากกว่าทุกๆปี เพราะผู้ประกอบการต้องการเร่งทำยอดขายให้เต็มที่ ขณะที่ปัจจัยเรื่องของกำลังซื้อเชื่อว่าจะไม่ส่งผลกระทบต่อยอดขายของศูนย์เพราะกลุ่มเป้าหมายของลูกค้าที่เข้าศูนย์เป็นกลุ่มที่มีรายได้ประจำ ทำให้ไม่ชะลอการซื้อ อย่างไรก็ดีเชื่อว่าในไตรมาสแรกจะมีผลประกอบการดีตามเป้าหมายที่วางไว้

Massimo Dutti opens its first stores in Thailand and Singapore

First openings in the Asia-Pacific area of a concept of the Group other than Zara

Massimo Dutti has just opened in Bangkok and Singapore its first stores in the Asia-Pacific area. The outlet in Bankgok, located in the Slam Paragon shopping area – just off the well-known Siam square, one of the busiest places in central Bangkok – is also the first store opened by the Inditex Group in Thailand. Zara will launch its first store in Thailand at the same location shortly. As for Singapore, the site selected for the opening of the first Massimo Dutti store has been Orchad Road, the major shopping street of the capital. The new store is located at Liat Tower building, next to the second Zara outlet opened in Singapore in 2003. Inditex has been present in the Asia-Pacific area since 1998, when it launched its first outlet in Tokyo. In addition to Japan, Zara is present in Hong-Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines.

Like the ad in the pic..The old style is like a canvas being attached on the wall.But,I saw new type ad screen at Major ratchayothin.it looks like LCD or Plasma ad screen.The Old type is being replaced by the new one which is like a ad screen at siam center.

I went there yesterday with my friends, just take a look.
It's awesome. I really like the Box Office.
But, IMO, there's nothing special about Karaoke and Bowling.

Store decorations continue to impress but I expected something more from the cineplex... don't know what. I know it's unrealistic to expect everything in Siam Paragon to be the best in the country, but it looks a little too ordinary. A panorama window to the world outside would be cool.. or dark colors with atmospheric lighting :)

I find that Siam paragon has a bunch of Fine Coffee shops such as Starbuck at Q concept,Orangery bar , Jaymart (Coffee shop Feat.Hair salon),Hay Ice cream,Kinokuniya (Good view),Whittard of chelsea,Paragon department store etc.This one at true is totally Kick ass.Especially,The seats with IPOD connector..awesome.One thing i don't like which is shop loosing a space for nothing.For example, Floral zone or IT selection area.It could be a space for TRUE service center or whatever.

นายวีรศักดิ์ ชุณหจักร ผู้อำนวยการฝ่ายทรัพยากรบุคคล โรงแรมโอเรียนเต็ล กรุงเทพฯ เปิดเผยกับ "ฐานเศรษฐกิจ"ว่า ทางโรงแรมมีนโยบายในการขยายธุรกิจ ด้านอาหารและเครื่องดื่ม ภายนอกโรงแรมเพิ่มมากขึ้น เนื่องจากต้องการเพิ่มรายได้ให้ธุรกิจ และการสร้างแบรนด์โอเรียนเต็ล ให้มีความใกล้ชิดและบริการลูกค้าเพิ่มขึ้น โดยในปีนี้ จะมีการขยายกิจการธุรกิจการขายอาหารแบบคอฟฟี่ ช็อป ซึ่งล่าสุดได้ไปลงทุนเปิดร้านอาหาร ชื่อ "เลสปาซ เดอ โอเรียนเต็ล" ภายในศูนย์การค้าสยามพารากอน ซึ่งจะเป็นร้านอาหารที่อยู่ท่ามกลางร้านค้าแบรนด์เนมต่างๆที่อยู่ภายในศูนย์การค้า ที่จะแตกต่างจากร้านอาหารทั่วไปที่จะตั้งอยู่ภายในโซนศูนย์รวมอาหาร

ส่งผลให้โรงแรมมีการให้บริการด้านอาหารเพิ่มขึ้น นอกเหนือจากที่เปิดร้านอาหาร ในสไตล์คอฟฟี่ ช็อป ชื่อว่า "ซาลอน เดอ โอเรียนเต็ล" ไปแล้วก่อนหน้านี้ที่ศูนย์การค้าเอ็มโพเรียม ซึ่งอาหารที่ขายรวมถึงมาตราการบริการ ก็จะเป็นแบบ 5 ดาว เพราะใช้พนักงานและการทำอาหารของโรงแรมโอเรียนเต็ลทั้งหมด ซึ่งธุรกิจของร้านอาหาร 1 แห่ง ก็จะมีขนาดของรายได้พอๆกับห้องอาหาร 1 ห้องภายในโรงแรม เนื่องจากลูกค้าที่มาใช้บริการร้านอาหารจะเป็นกลุ่มกำลังซื้อสูง ทำให้การเลือกทำเลในการเปิดร้านอาหาร จะมองไปว่าจุดที่เป็นย่านการช้อปปิ้งสำหรับกลุ่มลูกค้าที่กำลังซื้อสูงทั้งคนไทยและต่างประเทศ

อีกทั้งในปีนี้ทางโรงแรมกำลังอยู่ในระหว่างการปรับปรุงร้าน " โอเรียนเต็ล ช็อป "ซึ่งเป็นร้านขายเบอร์เกอรี่รี่ ไวน์ เนื้อ แฮม บริการซักรีด และของใช้ภายในโรงแรม เช่น เสื้อคลุมอาบน้ำ ที่ในขณะนี้มีอยู่ 4 สาขา ได้แก่ สาขาที่อิเซตัน ศูนย์การค้าเซ็นทรัลเวิล์ด, ศูนย์การค้าเซ็นทรัล ชิดลม,ศูนย์การค้าเอ็มโพเรียม ,ศูนย์การค้าสยามพารากอน โดยจะมีการปรับปรุงบรรยากาศภายในร้านใหม่ เพื่อให้ทันสมัยเพิ่มขึ้น และจะมีการเพิ่มประเภทการขายของสินค้าภายในร้านให้มีความหลากหลายมากขึ้น อาทิ การเพิ่มสินค้าประเภทตกแต่งบ้าน ซึ่งขณะนี้อยู่ระหว่างการออกแบบ คาดว่าจะเริ่มดำเนินการได้ในเร็วๆนี้

นายวีรศักดิ์ ยังกล่าวต่อว่า สำหรับงานด้านการผลิตบุคคลากรเพื่อป้อนโรงแรมและอุตสาหกรรมท่องเที่ยว ภายใต้การดำเนินการของโรงเรียนวิชาการโรงแรมแห่งโรงแรมโอเรียนเต็ล(โอแฮป )นั้น ทางโรงเรียนจะมีการเปิดรับสมัครนักเรียนรุ่นที่ 16 ตั้งแต่วันนี้-26 พ.ค.นี้ โดยหลักสูตรของโอแฮป จะมีใน 6 สาขาวิชา ได้แก่ สาขาพนักงานต้อนรับส่วนหน้า สาขาการปฏิบัติการฝ่ายแม่บ้านและซักรีด สาขาการปรุงอาหารนานาชาติ สาขาการครัวไทย สาขาการทำขนมและขนมปัง สาขาการปฏิบัติการห้องอาหารและการผสมเครื่องดื่ม โดยหลักสูตรจะมีตั้งแต่ 6 เดือน-1 ปี ค่าธรรมเนียมจะอยู่ที่ 40,000-50,000 บาท ซึ่งจะมีการรับสมัครสาขาละไม่เกิน 12 คนเท่านั้น เพื่อให้บุคลากรมีคุณภาพ และคนที่มาเรียนส่วนใหญ่จะเป็นคนที่จบในระดับปริญญาตรี บางคนก็จบมาจากเมืองนอก ทั้งที่กำหนดคุณสมบัติผู้สมัครไว้ที่การศึกษาขั้นต่ำมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลายหรือเทียบเท่า

นอกจากนี้ยังได้มีการเปิดหลักสูตรบริหารการครัวไทย ที่จะมีการเปิดรับสมัครในวันที่ 1 ก.พ.-20 มิ.ย.นี้ ซึ่งจะใช้เวลาเรียน 3 เดือน โดยหลักสูตรนี้จะเป็นการสอนให้คนมาเป็นหัวหน้าพ่อครัว เนื่องจากเป็นที่ต้องการของธุรกิจร้านอาหารไทยในต่างประเทศ และถือเป็นหลักสูตรเดียวในไทย ที่สอนให้มีการควบคุมต้นทุน และการบริหารงานครัว ไม่ใช่การสอนการทำอาหารให้มาเป็นพ่อครัวเท่านั้น และทางโรงแรมยังมีการเปิดหลักสูตรเรียนทำอาหารไทยสำหรับชาวต่างประเทศด้วย ซึ่งการดำเนินการดังกล่าวถือเป็นการส่งเสริมการผลักดันนโยบายครัวไทยสู่โลกของรัฐบาลด้วย
