Does your city have any modern skyscrapers that have been inspired by the New York Art Deco era?

Anyway, here's one in Hong Kong,

The Entertainment Building (Central)

There are plenty of other examples in this "other" city of Art Deco buildings. ;)

I have heard that Michael Graves was inspired by the ESB when he built 425 5th Ave.

Parkview Square Singapore certainly is very much inspired by the Chanin Building in NYC :-)

KBC Tower, Antwerp(Belgium)
height: 97.75 m

Well, it isn't modern as it's one of the first skyscrapers in Europe but hey, it looks good to me. But I really dislike the roof.:(

There's also another Art Deco style scraper in HK which is in Causeway Bay (Russell St.) It's right across Times Square

Here's a couple from Chicago:

AT&T Corporate Center: Built in 1989 but oozes art deco

NBC Tower: Built it 1989 as well, also resembles an older art deco style building

To me the Art Deco era was the Golden Age of skyscrapers. The period between 1900 to
the 1930s.
We could include the 50s to 70s as a revival, however nothing will beat the grandeur and beauty of these majestic buildings. The entire skyscraper was to be a piece of art, inside out, architects probably had the best time of their lives.
But then again, I'm talking bullcrap

the only thing i like about the building are the statues. the faceless ghosts starring at the city. every time i pass i cant stop watching in them.

They're the guardians just like the gargoyles in The Chrysle.

those were my thoughts, but alot of people in SF dislike the statues.

Parkview Square has an Art-Deco feel in it but the other one doesn't!
