An 18-story highrise will be Lund's tallest building. It will be called Innovationernas hus (House of innovations) or Delta 1. Together with Delta 2 and 4 it will cost 1 milliard SEK, the highrise only 500 million sek.
It will be built by Ingmar Kamprad (Ikea)'s property company Ikano.

It will contain a conference center and offices and be the by far tallest building in Lund, at least if you don't count the churches.
Best of all-it will have a rooftop restaurant with a view on the 18th floor!

Luckily it will be situated in the modern business district Ideon.

Lund...A bit OT - I had an oncle in Lund who died a few years ago, and acording to my aunt, who for some reason has maped our entire family, several of my fourfathers were estimed professors at the university of Lund...Not really sure why im writing this....Just in case you were wondering....:)

Yes, it is true that there is a big income difference so that isn't so expensive as it sounds.

@Staff: Yes, but I think this one deserved its own thread because Lund is a separate town and it will be the tallest highrise in Lund so it won't drown in all other posts.

But since all news etc. about Copenhagen with surroundings goes into the CPH Development thread, I think maybe we should do the same with Malmö. :)
