Robbie Fowler is still GOD. I read in his book (fantastic reading btw) he would taunt the United fans with the 5 European Cups and he did not need many minutes of the pitch to do just that on Saturday. Cheers Robbie :)

Believe it or not Dave there's a few 'faces' from Uniteds 'mob' in there. 'bout time they sat at home doing jigsaws or something, no suprise they got hammered at the Valley, they couldn't have ran if they wanted to!

Once again, lovely stuff Robbie, makes all the shite worthwhile!

Fowler re-signs for Liverpool

Jan 27 2006

by Ian Doyle, Daily Post

ROBBIE Fowler has made a sensational return to Liverpool.

The 30-year-old has completed a free transfer from Manchester City to return to the club where he made his name.

Fowler, who made his Liverpool debut in 1993, left Anfield in 2001 for Leeds United before moving to City.

He scored 171 goals in 330 appearances during his first spell at Liverpool.

Fowler is cup-tied for Sunday's FA Cup fourth round tie at Portsmouth but will come in contention for an emotional return to Anfield in Wednesday's home Premiership game against Birmingham City.

I still can't believe it. God is returning... and for free!

Meanwhile, looks like Cisse's days could be numbered... he's just been cautioned for assaulting his wife.

Even if he never kicks the ball again the buzz this will create will last until the World cup.

Rafa tried to swap Cisse for Defoe....

Yes he was. That's one of the reasons he's hated so much, probably more than Steve McMahon, Ian Rush, McBananaman and Carragher. All boyhood blues. So is that Gerrard bloke. We've all seen the photographic evidence. :)

We hate him partly out of respect of his ability and partly because he was one of us 'turned bad'. And partly because he's a smackhead! ;)

Do any Evertonians actually have any proof that he has been a "Smackhead" or has taken smack in the past?????

I can remember in about 1997 some Evertonian said he was getting blackmailed because someone had filmed him taking smack in a bar which made me laugh - why would he risk his playing career by taking drugs?. Furthermore does anyone actually think he's stupid enough to do it in full view of a crowd of people and someone with a video camera? I put this to him and then he backtracked saying his sister was a smackhead. Yeah OK.

There are random drug tests all the time in football and he's never been found guilty of even taking any "cough mixtures" as Rio Ferdinand or Ben Johnson would call them. He's been able to play at the top level since 1993/1994, i'm no doctor but I think being a heroin addict would severely hamper your ability to play in the Premiership for this amount of time.

Can any Evertonians enlighten me why they constantly refer to him as a smackhead? Are these the same witty Evertonians who called Gerard Houllier a paedophile simply because he was a teacher?

Too right it winds him up - I read his book the other day. Why is he called a smackhead though? He's never touched the stuff!

The problem with Fowler is that he has in the past struggled with his fitness and has been on a lot of money. Reading between the lines, I think Man City are glad to get him off the wage bill. I really don't understand how people can switch allegiance so easily, though. I would class him as a purple nose.

Fowler has always 'performed' for the Everton fans. I think he sees the funny side. Mocking players is part of the game. I don't particularly like Gerrard's goal celebrations at Goodison, but I am big enough to not get upset about it. I think Liverpool fans should accept that Gary Neville was just showing his passion. The game is sanitised enough already, if we can't laugh at this then the alternative is fairly bleak and probably a return to the bad old days.

Liverpool fans haven't had a problem with Nevilles celebration, GMP have.

Unlike Everton fans who reported him to the police.

2 faced?

When Robbie 'snorted' the line at the derby, it was one of THE wittiest and profound reactions to abuse (on and off the pitch) in football ever. Did the 3,000 from the hearts think that? Did they fuck "please officer arrest him he took the piss out of us".

Reds love Fowler because he's one of us, blues hate Fowler bexcause he's one of us.

Come off it Toad, the phone ins were full of Liverpool fans compalining about Neville.Personally i don't mind Neville,he hates Scousers, but at least he's got real passion for his club.Which is more than can be said for the vast majority of players today.

Personally I think Gary Neville is a tit but by doing that he's just made things worse for himself and will be hated even more, I think he revels in the idea of being a Scouser hater and panto villain. All he's done is make himself more hated and risks a beating or stabbing in the future by someone who took real offence to it - more fool him I say.

Liverpool fans were pissed off on Sunday, but its the media who've been banging on about it most.

Phone ins, pubs, message boards etc were full of people angry about it on Sunday night. But when the dust settled I don't think Liverpool fans were bothered, and the anger turned to pity. On reflection I found it very sad that Neville should enjoy it so much.

But the papers and skysportsnews have loved this all week as its given them something to talk about.

Nail on the head.

'fans' on 'phone ins', the same 'fans' who are basically given the agenda by the media. How many 'fans' who use phone ins are fans?

Phone ins are for the insane and unhinged.

Did GMP receive complaints from liverpool fans or did they decide to report him because THEY felt he caused a problem?

Nevilles a tool, the mancs deserve him because he sums them up as a football club, social group and deranged mob in general but show me one Liverpool fan who brought about this FA charge or police complaint. Unlike Evertonians who have a long history of queing up at the police control room - Neville, Ronaldo, rooney, Fowler, Gerrard are all recent examples.

Liverpool keep their 'fueds' and banter where it should be, we give them stick, they throw it back at us as and when they can.

And in Robbie we've got one of the best in the business for answering his critics.

I must say I'm very surprised that Fowler has gone back to Liverpool. I don't think his heart was in it at Leeds or Man City to be honest and he seemed to always be thinking of going back to Liverpool. I think this was demonstrated by his goal celebrations indicating Liverpool's tally of European Cups against United. He is going to have to work very hard on his fitness to get anywhere near his best. Still, I've always considered him one of the best natural finishers in the country and I suppose that ability never goes away.

As for the Neville issue, I don't think that Gary Neville 'hates scousers' in any more than a football sense. As one of the senior members of the England team it wouldn't be appropriate for him to hold such views with several England players being from Liverpool. I really wish that football rivalries could stay within football and not interfere with everyday lives. As a Manchester United fan, I obviously find victories over Liverpool very satisfying and I'm sure Liverpool fans enjoy victories over us. There is always that 'little bit more' and stake in United-Liverpool games. However, a lot of fans, on both sides, take it way too far. I know that the rivalry between the two cities goes back further than the footballing side, but all the same, when it starts turning to violence and talking about 'hating' each other all because of a game, it's ridiculous. I appreciate scousers as people, although there are differences, the people of Manchester and Liverpool have a lot in common. Two great cities with great history. Mostly very nice people in both cities. But you always have the minority of people, on both sides, who will allow rivalry in football to carry over into everyday life. I feel that both sides are equally responsible for this. To say you hate a group of people collectively because of a football rivalry can't be right, particularly when we're all English or British.

BOOOOOOOOOO stop being nice Liam.

Neville does hate scousers, brother Pip said so. I like that.

What I don't get is having Englands best footballer in your side who comes from Liverpool, the beacon for the club, the asset to work off and build a team around and yet thousands of so called supporters spend more time slagging off scousers than backing their own side most weeks. It's on a level with the 70's and 80's racism "but he's OK cos he's my mate".

How much longer will Rooney turn a deaf ear to it all?
