Never been to Sheffield and never had any great desire to frankly but my mind has changed. Pre-this thread the most exciting thing for me would have been a visit to Park Hill/Hyde Park for a dose of sheer brutality.

Its amazing how British cities all look fantastic as soon as the sun is shining!

Nice pics, the Lyceum is a lovely building, as a side note I always thought Sheffield was better than Leeds, nicer buildings etc

those are really good pics, showing the place in a great light. my only experience of sheffield is being a complete mess in gatecrasher a few years back. and being in the station a lot.

Just read the reply, sorry if I offended I did not intend to, I was just saying I prefer Sheffield to it's more celebrated yorkshire neighbor Leeds, I could of said York or Bradford but Leeds is more comparable with Sheffield.

I like your big silver balls. So to speak.

I also like the big silver balls, and you got some good photos of them there. I was a bit skeptical about them when I first heard of them as I seen quite a few other big balls (or more commonly ball) in other places and they often looked tatty but these ones look good and I especially like the shimmering effect.
