meow January 16th, 2006, 12:55 PM mandalay bay is quite attractive as if it's made rom gold
paris, new york, venetian and mirage are very cool either
hella good January 16th, 2006, 08:05 PM vegas has a lot of very good architecture. new york new york, and the bellagio are especially nice. but i have always felt that vegas lives off the landmarks of other cities. it dosent have a proper skyline - its own skyline.
Rene Nunez January 16th, 2006, 09:19 PM ^^ I agree.That makes it genuinely unorginal.
Sexas January 16th, 2006, 10:32 PM Vegas not try to be original, it is a theme park for grow up, compare it with Blackpool, Atlantie City. Personally I think Stratosphere and Fremont Street Lightshow are original landmark.
Don Pacho January 17th, 2006, 05:26 AM My favorites are Venetian, NY NY and Paris
:)
cphdude January 18th, 2006, 12:19 AM architectualy they all look pretty sad, but i guess the venetia is my favorite...
spyguy January 18th, 2006, 03:28 AM I like Bellagio the most. It's a bit more refined, and the fountains are always cool to look at. Luxor would be my 2nd favorite, and then Circus Circus for that old school charm.
BoCHK January 18th, 2006, 03:31 AM Luxor.

That's what I was thinking too, I'm surprised it wasn't on the list. I'd really like to go there sometime, but I'm sure it costs a tonne of money
asohn January 20th, 2006, 08:57 AM Defiantely Wynn.
Manila-X January 20th, 2006, 01:04 PM The last time I was in Vegas, I didn't see the Wynn or it's probably not yet completed! Sucks that I didn't include it on the list!
spicytimothy January 20th, 2006, 08:05 PM in terms of interior I picked Venetian...
in terms of outdoor entertainment nothing comes close to the Bellagio fountain... trust me u HAVE to experience it to see how great it is...
Wynn is nice too :-) all the gambling machines have LCD screens :-D
John-Claude January 20th, 2006, 08:52 PM I've always liked the Luxor Hotel because it's original and the black pyramid looks really sleek.
The top of the Luxor has the world's brightest man-made light beam. In a clear night, you can even see it from the airspace above Los Angeles!
Dor. IL January 20th, 2006, 09:13 PM NY NY
Monkey January 21st, 2006, 09:19 PM The Bellagio. It's the classiest and the fountains are incredible. I really admire Las Vegas.
jbkayaker12 January 21st, 2006, 09:41 PM The Wynn has a show at the lounge, outdoor seating is permitted only if you buy drinks otherwise you can watch it inside by the bar although it is best viewed outdoors of course. The subtle play of light on water in the show is nice. The show changes every half an hour if Im not mistaken.
Caesars is the cream of the crop of all Vegas hotels.

Tazmaniadevil January 22nd, 2006, 04:25 AM Inside, I like Caesar's the best, especially with the Forum Shops connection.
Outside, I lean toward Paris because it's so wonderfully kitchy. But you cannot take Las Vegas seriously. The architecture is to attract gamblers and tourists. And it is working.
jbkayaker12 January 22nd, 2006, 08:16 AM Mandalay Bay is nice indoors, high ceiling and spacious. Not cramped at all and you can't smell the smoke from cigarettes due to the high ceiling. Kitsch, hehehe, over 40 million visitors and more are visiting so I guess a lot of people are kitschy, hahahaha!

Avatar January 22nd, 2006, 01:20 PM Easily Mandalay Bay.
I stayed in the Mandalay Bay while in vegas last and all I can say is... what a great choice I made. It's an awesome hotel. I am not sure about the extension they look to have added though - it's just not the same.
1. Mandalay Bay (awesome in reflective gold)
2. Luxor (love that retrofuturism)
3. Caesers Palace (love the kitsch)
Last of all the hotel I place the Bellagio - i hate it, it's damn ugly.

FREKI January 23rd, 2006, 12:41 AM The Venetian based on the lovely "mall" inside...
But Luxor also owns a special place in my heart... after all the damn money I lost there :sleepy:
New York New York has a killer night club...
Ahh... I meiss that place... (only 5 months till June  )
ReddAlert January 23rd, 2006, 01:58 AM the Venetian. People label Las Vegas as cheesy and crap...but that couldnt be farther from the truth. While this structure isnt orginal, its the next best thing to actually going to Venice. They did extensive research and studied in Venice itself to create this resort--which is one of the most beautiful places I have visited. The artwork within is more expensive than the entire resort itself--which is unbelievable.
BobDaBuilder January 23rd, 2006, 02:05 AM Whats the name of the casino with the waterfall running from the top of the building? I caught a glimpse of it walking past a tv set recently. Is it just a tv special effects job?
Last visited Vegas in 2000. It is interesting to compare the old mob hotels like Circus Circus, with the new Corporate fancy ones. With the old ones, you can just feel the crime history. I liked the Venetian because you could score free beer(provided you tip the waitresses, so it wasn't really free). Bellagio was pretty good, just for the fountains out the front. The windows in the hotel were dodgy in appearance.
The joint I stayed at, the Clondike, was like the setting out of From Dusk till Dawn.
Boris550 January 23rd, 2006, 02:16 AM It's all about the Luxor man!

Venetian pipes in too much air freshener in the casino. Too much really, its nauseating!
philip January 26th, 2006, 02:53 AM My favorite hotel room so far is Mandalay Bay's. Its standard room is significantly larger than those of any other hotels on the strip. It has a beach and 6 swimming pools. If you eat at the buffet, you will be able to have a great view of the beach and the palm trees which makes you feel like you are in Hawaii.
But the most beautiful hotel has to be the Bellagio.

I have also stayed at Wynn Las Vegas. If you stay there during weekdays, the price is actually not too outrageous. I stayed on the 52nd floor for only $179 per night. This hotel is very beautiful as well.

jbkayaker12 January 26th, 2006, 01:13 PM Next round of development in Vegas will cost between 2-5 billion dollars each. Vegas has got a lot of aces up its sleeves!
seatown February 20th, 2006, 04:57 AM My top 5 list of hotels in order are:
http://www.*******************/north-america/us/nevada/las-vegas/images/s/wynn-las-vegas-exterior.jpg
1- Wynn Las Vegas (http://www.*******************/north-america/us/nevada/las-vegas/wynn.php) - The size of the hotel its compact so there's not alot of walking around and the european pool at the wynn (http://www.*******************/north-america/us/nevada/las-vegas/wynn-pool.php) is nice...
2- Palms Las Vegas (http://www.*******************/north-america/us/nevada/las-vegas/palms.php) - Has a great nightlife
3- Mandalay Bay (http://www.*******************/north-america/us/nevada/las-vegas/mandalay-bay.php) - Has the best pool in Vegas (http://www.*******************/north-america/us/nevada/las-vegas/mandalay-bay-pool-1.php)
4- The Venetian (http://www.*******************/north-america/us/nevada/las-vegas/venetian.php) - The rooms are great, restaurtants are excellent, the nightlife is a bit slow.
5- The Hard Rock Hotel (http://www.*******************/north-america/us/nevada/las-vegas/hard-rock-casino.php) - A great hotel for the party crowd. The Hard Rock pool (http://www.*******************/north-america/us/nevada/las-vegas/hard-rock-pool.php) and people are there to be seen,
Well thats my 2 cents but I prefer pools and clubs.
