Plani urban i Prishtinës, unazë e re 40 kilometra

Lulzim Nixha, drejtor i Drejtorisë për Urbanizim në komunën e Prishtinës, tha se paraqitja e planit urbanistik tani për tani është vetëm pjesë strategjike që ende nuk është përfunduar sepse nuk janë saktësuar të dhënat demografike


Në planin strategjik - urbanistik të Prishtinës 2004-2020 parashikohet të përfshihen hapësira të reja banimi, zona industriale, unaza rrugore përreth Prishtinës, që do të jetë e gjatë 40 km e përcjellë edhe me dy qarkore më të vogla, rrjete hekurudhore apo tren që do të lidhin aeroportin, Fushë-Kosovën dhe Prishtinën. Kjo u tha gjatë prezantimit të planit strategjik të Prishtinës 2004-2020 nga Drejtoria për Urbanizim e Prishtinës dhe ekspertë të huaj. Lulzim Nixha, drejtor i Drejtorisë për Urbanizim në Komunën e Prishtinës, tha se paraqitja e planit urbanistik tani për tani është vetëm pjesë strategjike që ende nuk është përfunduar, por që duhet të përfundohet pasi që të bëhen të dhënat demografike të sakta. “Ne këtë plan e kemi bërë me një metodë shumë të përshpejtuar që Prishtina ta ketë një bazë për të ardhmen”, - tha Nixha. Ai tha se në këtë projekt janë përfshirë lagje të reja të banimit, hapësira të reja industriale, që është edhe bazë për realizimin e këtij projekti, si dhe do të ketë hapësira të reja të gjelbërimit etj. Kurse do të tentohet që ndërtimet kapitale të fillojnë pikërisht në atë hapësirë, pasi edhe atje është paraparë të ndërtohet presidenca, universiteti amerikan, fshati ndërkombëtar etj. “Zhvillimi urban i qytetit është proces i vazhdueshëm, i cili kërkon përspektivë të qartë në mënyrë që të krijohet një qytet i gjallë i suksesshëm me banim të duhur dhe kushte të mira jetësore”, - tha Nixha.
Sipas ekspertit ndërkombëtar nga Instituti për Hulumtime Zhvillimore, Uve Volkov, plani është përgatitur për një popullsi prej 800 mijë banorësh, sa edhe supozohet se do t’i ketë Prishtina deri në vitin 2020. “Kërkesat për banim do të rriten, ndërsa parashihet që deri në vitin 2020 Prishtina të ketë 15 m katrorë për banor”, - tha Volkof. Ai ndër të tjera shpjegoi se plani i ri i Prishtinës parasheh edhe gjelbërimin e qytetit e me më shumë orientim në pjesët rurale të qytetit, sidomos nga pjesët malore si Gërmia apo pjesa jugore e qytetit. “Kemi paraparë hapjen e shkollave të reja në tërë Prishtinën, spitalin komunal, një spital kombëtar, pastaj furnizimi me ujë do të jetë perfekt dhe energjinë elektrike do ta ketë secili banor pa probleme”, - tha Volkov. Trafiku në Prishtinën e ardhshme apo deri në vitin 2002 do të jetë pothuajse tërësisht i ndryshuar. Parashihet që rreth Prishtinës deri në qendër të jenë tri unaza rrugore, që do të lidhen njëra me tjetrën dhe që do të shkarkojnë gati tërësisht qendrën nga veturat e tepërta, ndërsa me rrugën qarkore do të ketë edhe hapësira të reja për banim. Planin strategjik urbanistik të Prishtinës e përshëndeti edhe kryetari i KK të Prishtinës Ismet Beqiri, i cili fillimisht i falënderoi të gjithë ata që kanë punuar në këtë plan. Ai tha se Prishtina e meriton të jetë një metropol evropian dhe sipas tij në këtë edhe do të punohet gjithmonë.

This is great for Pristina. I don't know a lot about the city, but here on SSC it doesn't have the reputation as the most beautiful city around.
Anyway, the population figures are incredible, but nothing too surprising.
It happened all over the Balkans, and that's a problem that's been plaguing a lot of cities, and that the Soviets thought they could remedy by building whole new cities by changing the urban plan. Cities like Athens or Sofia were small towns of less than 20000 when they became capitals, and all of a sudden industrial progress came, people from all around the region moved for work, etc. and just like Manchester was famous for its change in the 19th century, the same happened, where people moved in faster than the government could handle them.
Same happened in Africa, I remember doing a bit on Ouagadougou once.
Well basically, it's humans and how we change the environment :P

Believe it or not there is flights from tirana to pirshtina, i think thats even closer than to sofia. But your right, Kosova is not well connected with bulgaria. They would have to go through macedonia.
ANother possibility is sometimes Airlines rent planes from other airlines for a certain time to move people from airports

Prishtinë, Jan 17, 2006 - The privatization of the largest Socially Owned Enterprises in Kosovo (SOEs) Grand Hotel, Peja Brewery, Rahoveci Winery, for which large competition was expected, seems to have failed. KTA has postponed the deadline for pre-qualification and bid opening for the Peja Brewery, Grand Hotel and Iliria Hotel to February, due to a lack of bids for these enterprises.

Ahmet Shala, KTA Deputy Director, said that the postponement has occurred because of few bids submitted for the pre-qualification deadline.

Although many foreign investors have visited the Grand Hotel during the last months, only the company Euro Drini from Tirana did bid finally, in co financing with the management of the hotel. In the meantime, there were less than three bidders for the two other enterprises. KTA officials said that the sale of these enterprises has not failed. “We have had investors interested in the companies. Pre-qualified bidders have requested more time because of the end of year holidays, the time was short”, said the Chief of the KTA Information Office, Renate Schmidt. She also stated that the bid opening the enterprises to be sold through special spin-off would be postponed for one month. “On February 15 we will have the first bidding round, while on 22nd the second round”, said Schmidt.

The Director of the Grand Hotel and the Catering Company “Kosova” Zeke Ceku, said that he did not expect only one company to bid after all those parties interested. “We expected at least four companies to bid”, said Ceku. One day earlier he told Koha Ditore that many companies were interested, including Factor Bank from Slovenia, and World of Wonders from Turkey.

i hope prishtina gets a master plan as good as tirana did. then we would have two great albanian cities (in majority of people not who owns the land so i dont affend anyone) in a construction boom.

The reason why the population has gotten so big right after the war is because, when people returned to Kosova after the war. alot of pople from small townas and villages moved to Prishtina where they were provided an appartment.


I highly doubt the accuracy of the population figures liburni. I go to Pristina often enough in the last years and it is not very large. There is just no space for up to 420.000 people at the moment as your source claims, and that is obvious. I hope there will be a census soon in Kosovo. I'm sure that many people moved/returned there after the war, but we are talking about almost doubling the population in the last 6 years. Even cities that prosper as Shangai don't double their population in 6 years.

We should perhaps make a thread about the population/area/density/lenght/width etc figures of the Balkan cities. But with real numbers not Tirana is 1.000.000, Belgrade is 2.5 million etc......

Hemus Air flies even to Skopje. But they only deal with cargo flights. There is no railway connection from Sofia to Pristina. The only way is to go through Nish probably which is outside of the way. The railway from Skopje to Pristina was reopened 2 weeks ago, and was shut down since the war. But Macedonia and Bulgaria are not connected with a railroad at all so............. The only way is through the roads, and the fasters way is through Skopje. I think it is about 350km Sofia-Pristina if you take the Skopje route.

yes only a census will make things cleare, and that is going to happen this year, however there is talks that the city has 600, 000. You gotta remember this is not talking just about the city, this is talking about its surrounding area as well, the whole municipality.

I could not agree anymore. Only official gov. numbers, or numbers that can be supported by more than one source. I am tired of reading Tirana has 1.000.000 or 300.000 when it is clearly stated in the municipal website as 560 thousand something.

I checked the Hemus air website,and believe it or not there is regular flights between Sofia and Prishtina.So I guess there is a demand for such flights.
I think Prishtina is developing fast,and that new masterplan is really good.
