View Full Version : Widening Tuen Mun Road hkth January 18th, 2006, 05:22 PM You may see the news from News.gov.hk (http://news.gov.hk/en/category/infrastructureandlogistics/060118/html/060118en06006.htm). :| spicytimothy January 19th, 2006, 12:57 AM is there still the need? I remember them talking about it back in the late 90s a lot, but i thought they say it's impossible, how one side u got the mountains and the other side is like Shum Chen or sth? iono... in any case, the West Rail is opened already... is there still a need to widen the road? sfgadv02 January 19th, 2006, 01:46 AM Problem is barely anyone takes the KCR West Rail from what I heard. The location of the station sucks so bad. Especially Tsuen Wan West. That station is so isolated out-of-nowhere. spicytimothy January 19th, 2006, 05:03 AM well thaz just coz the gov't forced the 2 railways to stop selling above-station property... there are a lotta room for more buildings around the new stations... i think it just takes some time for the green minibuses and stuff to reroute to the stations... aren't ppl fed up with the Tuen Mun Freeway? I hate it... superchan7 January 19th, 2006, 07:18 AM Tuen Mun Road needs wider SHOULDERS. So many accidents because of a blind curve and a broken-down truck sitting on the shoulder, causing deadly accidents because of the high speed. |
