uptownliving January 19th, 2006, 05:36 AM Nice to see that type of development in Greenville...it is definately becoming quite nice there.
Raleigh-NC January 19th, 2006, 04:03 PM Congratulations!!! Always to hear about nice developments going to our downtowns :okay:
triadcat January 20th, 2006, 01:15 AM Damn, the Carolinas are on a roll!
Great for Greenville!
krazeeboi January 20th, 2006, 01:44 AM Greenville has a TON of things going on right now. Check here (http://www.urbanplanet.org/forums/index.php?showforum=257) to learn more.

uptownliving January 20th, 2006, 03:30 AM So are these projects already under construction or are they just proposals?
StevenW January 20th, 2006, 04:17 AM I like the design of the Pinnacle but the Camperdown has the MUCH better view going on. :)
Good news indeed. Hope more taller buildings get built in Greenville. :D
g-man430 January 21st, 2006, 12:10 AM Almost all of the projects listed on that website are proposals but most are expected to start construction by the end of 2007. Also, construction on the Camperdown is supposed to start later this month and the Pinnacle on Main is going to start construction after a few more presales.
StevenW January 21st, 2006, 04:35 PM Wasn't there a proposal for a twenty-something story tower a few years back that never got a second look? :? Pretty sure I heard it was in Greenville. THink it was a mixed-use tower of some sort downtown. Anyone know what I'm refering to?
g-man430 January 21st, 2006, 05:38 PM Yeah, it was the tower at falls and broad. http://www.thetoweratfallsandbroad.com/
-It's still scheduled to be built but has been delayed due to construction costs that went up after Hurricane Katrina hit.
StevenW January 22nd, 2006, 08:46 PM Cool, thanks, g-man430. :)
I really like this tower and hope it does get built. At 350 ft. tall, it will be South Carolina's tallest building, one ft. taller than Columbia's tallest. :D
The Tower at Falls & Broad will be rising soon from the site of Mr. Bill Bouharoun’s 32-year-old family-owned business. The high rise will measure 20 stories, totaling 350 ft. in height, making it Greenville’s tallest building. On the first and second floors, The Tower has space designed for a bank, with a drive through window and ATM availability incorporated into the first level of the project’s 3 story-parking garage. Additionally, the main level contains some retail space. Also, on the second and third floors are office condominiums, ranging in size from 1,050 to 4,150 sq. ft. There is 20,000 sq. ft. of office space on both the fourth and fifth floors available for lease. Each floor six through thirteen contains four office condominiums, ranging in size from 1,750 to 1,800 sq. ft. Four residential condominiums occupy each floor fourteen through eighteen. These residences range from 1,750 to 2,000 sq. ft. and offer spectacular views of Greenville from terraces as large as 650 sq. ft. The nineteenth and twentieth floors are reserved for a 2-story penthouse. Destined to be one of Downtown’s most recognized landmarks, The Tower at Falls & Broad will take property ownership in Greenville to unprecedented heights.

g-man430 January 23rd, 2006, 12:24 AM Yes, I hope it gets built too, however they are changing the rendering of it so it will not look like this if it gets built.
weill January 23rd, 2006, 01:57 AM awesome can somebody show me on a map where these will be located?

How did you find this out? :?
When you say, "changing", do you mean the design itself or the scale of it? :?
StevenW January 23rd, 2006, 03:37 AM I think the look is very different/unique. I hope the design isn't changed much. Plus, do you know if and when this project may get started? :?
Thanks. :)
g-man430 January 23rd, 2006, 05:45 AM Yes, I mean the design is changing. Somebody told me off of urbanplanet.org that the designed was being changed. I have no idea if this is true or not and what it will look like if it is true. Right now it's hard to say if this project will get started. It is sort of in a lull right now until construction costs go down.

Well, that could mean a long wait..... :(
g-man430 April 17th, 2006, 05:27 AM Update on these three projects:
According to an email I received from the person who is building the Pinnacle on Main, expect to hear an announcement within the next 30 days regarding the construction of it and expect construction of this to start by the end of May. According to the Camperdown Condo's website, expect construction of the Camperdown Condos to start sometime in the fall of 2006. This project has been delayed until then due to not having enough pre-sales. As of today, the Tower at Falls and Broad is still in a lull and i'm not sure whether it will get built or not.
Raleigh-NC April 17th, 2006, 03:12 PM I like the rendering :okay:
avery April 17th, 2006, 04:01 PM I used to live in Greenville and I'm always excited to see new developments there. I really like the renderings...congrats guys!
Greenville has so much potential with all of its natural beauty. Paris Mountain as a backdrop and the Reedy River cutting right through downtown is a tangible quality that so many cities wish they could have.
Justin6882 April 17th, 2006, 04:47 PM I really like the Pinnacle rendering a lot. I think it will fit in with the existing architecture in Greenville quite nicely.
g-man430 April 23rd, 2006, 09:51 PM Another hotel could be coming to Downtown Greenville and construction of it could start by the end of this year. More info: http://greenvilleonline.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060423/BUSINESS/604230323
-There are at least 6 hotels under construction or consideration in the City of Greenville right now.
g-man430 May 6th, 2006, 08:57 PM Some more news about the hotel that could be built downtown: http://www.greenvilleonline.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060505/BUSINESS/605050336
g-man430 May 18th, 2006, 04:12 AM I have bad news, but not suprising news. According to an email sent to an urbanplanet user by the developer of the Tower at Falls and Broad, the project is officially DEAD!!!!

Glad to see Greenville doing well, but whats up with that rendering? Thats a pretty "shooddy" sketch lol!
And also that sentence should jump out at everyone above....a drive through ATM in a downtown? That is simply a no no!
