It isn't really the greatest design but its looking so concrete now because its (almost) complete in terms of concrete but lacks cladding. Wait till they put on the cladding and it won't look like that anymore.

No, the color is not the only difference. The top of the tower is different in the newer render.

The lower portions of the buildings look different too. Overall, I prefer the new look! :)

Yeah, the basic structure is the same, except for different window dressing. I like the new one better. The cladding is much better.

Talking of cladding, Fahad mentioned that Creek Vista was still using Berger paint. I have bad news, not only are they using paint instead of cladding, they are using Happilac paint!

What are "Berger" & "Happilac" paints??? :? Sorry, I'm not used to these terms. Whats so bad about these types of paint? "Bergers" made me think of "Burgers". :drool: :eat:

Whatever the difference i like the new render coz mostly building here in pak are in white colour at least we will have some new colour to see

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) would equip the under-construction Islamabad Stock Exchange Tower with modern facilities, said CDA Chairman Tariq Mehmood during his meeting with an ISE delegation here Friday.

He said the tower must be equipped with fire alarm and fire extinguishing system to avoid the reoccurrence of the tragedy, as happened in Gakhar Plaza Rawalpindi, resulting into the collapse of the whole building.

On request of the delegation members, the CDA chairman directed the concerned officers to provide a U-turn and improve service road in front of the tower to facilitate the business community.

He assured the delegation that CDA would extend all cooperation in connection with the beautification and provision of all facilities.

Tariq Mehmood said CDA is also engaged in upgrading fire and rescue service in the city and more significance would be given to command and control to take effective measures in cases of emergency for better coordination between institutions and rescue teams.

He said the CDA is also working on ‘Green and Clean’ Islamabad and is planting 30 plants in place of one tree chopped during the execution of different development projects.

He said a citizen club is being built with the facilities of library, gym, revolving restaurant, dancing fountain, adding that the fountains would also be installed on different points in the capital.

Moreover, he said CDA would also construct parking plazas in Blue Area owing to the shortage of parking lots in the commercial hub of the federal capital.

For there to be a world record, you need to take into account buildings all over the world, not just in Pakistan like Taseer was saying. Anyway, good to see work begin on cladding.

Well the building has topped out from the exterior so unless someone ventures to take pics from the interior , we are not likely to see any visible change till the time they start putting the glass and that I reckon will be sometime when the Telecom tower nears completion.

In this rendering the cladding isn't white but grey. It looks much better. White doesn't make it stand out. Grey would have been much better, just like in the rendering.

What is Scaffolding??

scaffolding means a temporay framework usuly use for construcion sites. These red rods are not scaffolding they fixed with wall permantaly for installation of big screen. just have a look what is scaffolding

beside saudi pak tower i am this is statelife tower but it seems like construction has been stopped because there is no more work at the site.
